I don't think it's really that different. Their day to day functions may be different but they are all law enforcement. If the right people starting pushing local law enforcement to enforce gun laws it would happen. Look how certain departments are getting told what to do already. I guarantee the individual cops hate it, but they are falling in line. So defunding to the ATF doesn't seem much different to me. The only difference is the motivation behind it. Just my .02

Sorry, made a typo there. I meant to put defunding. Do you think that gun laws will just disappear if the ATF is abolished? Someone else will just pick up the torch and run with it. Now, I would be thrilled if the ATF was gone but it will never happen. Going back to my earlier point, the very police folks are so quick to defend will be the ones enforcing said laws.

I have a friend of mine that has done everything you shouldn't do this year. Parties, bar hopping, huge group gatherings, more parties. Through all of that she never caught COVID. It wasn't until a family gathering that she and her family got it. Her dad brought it home from work. Keep this in mind as you get together with your family for Christmas, especially if you are high risk for COVID.

That is a great show, especially the early seasons.

I wish. It's just a CVT awning mounted on a roof basket. I don't trust my old camper shell to hold that much weight.

I'm a bit conflicted on this personally. It seems even the states with fairly strict COVID restrictions are still seeing huge increases in new cases. From a policy standpoint, what should he do? I've just not seen proof more restrictions would work. You can pass a mask mandate but I don't see that doing much good unless it's enforced. We have a mask mandate here in Knoxville and I'd say only 60% of people are wearing one, let alone wearing one correctly.

Honestly, it's not that I don't like them. I love the Raptor. I just don't think Ford makes nearly as reliable a vehicle as I would want to buy. I've read so many horror stories. Half the guys on the Tundra forum are ones that gave up on their unreliable Dodge/Chevy/Ford and bought a Tundra. There are members on there with 500k miles. Numerous with over 300k. Like I said, I'm loyal to Toyota or possibly Honda. I wouldn't even buy a Nissan. I bought a Rav4 new for my wife in 2012. So far the only non routine thing I've had to replace is a radiator hose. That's through 8 years and 125k miles. My dad bought a Rogue a few months after us in 2012 and it's needed all kinds of work. He's on his 3rd set of CV axles. Toyota just builds a better vehicle than most. There are 2 Tundras documented with a million miles and one that died around 925k. https://www.motortrend.com/news/million-mile-tundra-the-tear-down/ I'm happily driving my nearly 19 year old Tundra with 175k miles. I just sent an oil sample to Blackstone labs and got a clean bill of health. We just took it to the outer banks a few months ago.

Objective Factors for Classifying Weapons with “Stabilizing Braces”

Unless his wife answers the door holding a baby. Then she's the one most at risk.. -
It's going to be really difficult to convince me to buy anything but Toyota or Lexus at this point. I would never buy a Ford.

Anyone else feel like they will just use the comment database as a starting point for who to go after first? I am leery of submitting my name and information to file a complaint that likely won't even be read. Dave, give me your last name and I'll submit a complaint on your behalf. -
Funny you mention that. I sent it to a buddy of mine and he said "I FEEL PERSONALLY ATTACKED!!"

Anyone want to donate $35 to have me ban a whiner permanently?

That's no different that Obama's 8 years. I'm sure you remember. We had folks crying because he saluted the Marine while boarding air force one and others upset because he was photographed with his feat on the desk in the oval office. That stuff goes both ways. As for the politics section, I've not seen David say it's going away. My understanding is that they will just move some threads to the other section if they get too wild. -
We have Netflix and sometimes use my mom's Prime streaming. Recently we added HBO which has a lot of great shows.

I'm not going to defend him either but I will add that I actually don't like seeing members get banned. I'm not going to 2nd guess their decision though as I know they don't take it lightly. There is no one here that I dislike to the point I want to see them get banned even though a few have made it clear I'm on their ignore list. My wife ignores me sometimes too so I don't really get offended by that. -
Agreed. I would prefer consumers punish CTD rather than government. I do my part by never, ever, shopping with them .

I was just about to say, a pandemic really shouldn't be controversial. Sad times we live in.

Man, I miss a few hours and all hell has broken loose. I love it. I just want to thank the staff for the work you put in here. It is still the best run forum on the internet.- 94 replies

I would almost guarantee your Edward Jones advisor spends less than a few hours each year reviewing your account. They select the initial picks and let the market do what it does. They are not going to make any adjustments without consulting with you. So aside from the once or twice a year you meet with him/her they probably don't even look at your account. That's one of the reasons why I'm leaving them.

Do you guys really think any theme park in the country is going to allow people to carry guns inside? I get the desire but there are some places I just expect to be disarmed. Also, I don't want to carry a gun on a roller coaster that's going to spin me upside down and toss me around. It's not like they have zero security. Cops and metal detectors are about as much as one can reasonably expect.
