  1. Looking at the pictures, that was a serious bomb. I'm so thankful no one was killed. I fully expect them to catch this person(s) quickly. I'm sure the person was captured on security cameras.
  2. Growing up in Lenoir City we would always got less snow than Knoxville. It never failed. I never could figure out why. We got around 3-3.5" near downtown Knoxville.
  3. No. I put in all that work and she didn't offer to share. So rude.
  4. No she was not. But she was very nice and in a great mood.
  5. My bad. I was busy pushing a girl in a Camaro while she smoked a joint. I bet @Chucktshoeswill merge my thread with yours.
  6. I can't recall ever seeing snow in Knoxville on Christmas. I was not expecting the level we are seeing near downtown. It's madness outside on the roads. I've already helped a few neighbors push or get unstuck. I got cussed at as well and had to remind a woman it was Christmas. Side note, these traction boards sure are handy. Stay safe and Merry Christmas.
  7. It really isn't that simple. Healthy people are unintentionally and unknowingly spreading the virus to people that really can't afford to have it. It has nothing to do with being scared of the virus. I would think that losing a long time member that was only 65 would have had some sort of impact on folks but I thought wrong. That "just stay home if you're scared" argument doesn't work for everyone. Many still need groceries and have errands to run. If you think that's an option, have you offered to help any of your elderly neighbors?
  8. @TGO David I was just asking @Chucktshoes how I can update the little saying that's under my user name. I can't find it in any of the settings under my profile and neither can he. We're wondering if that option disappeared?
  9. I agree. But the logic behind why we're being asked to wear them is the same. I don't really feel like debating masks. If people don't want to wear one by now then nothing is going to change their mind. The entire world is behind mask usage so if it were really just a scam to make us fall into submission you would think it would be limited to only the USA. Personally, I've enjoyed wearing them when it's cold out as it keeps my face warm. Maybe I'll wear a mask the rest of my life just to trigger some folks.
  10. What liberty are you sacrificing? Many of you won't even wear a cloth mask and you keep making excuses for how masks don't even work. Maybe the next time you have surgery you can convince your surgeon to not wear any PPE because it's just a scam. Nearly all businesses are still open or allowed to operate right now in TN. The businesses being impacted the most are ones you probably wouldn't frequent anyways so I don't know what liberty you are being asked to give up. Regardless of how other countries may or may not be doing, the US is doing horrible. So many swore COVID would just vanish after the election yet it's only getting worse. Now I've seen those same people move the goal post and say it will vanish once Trump leaves office. COVID is kicking our ass. Our hospitals are at a breaking point and I'm getting really tired of people making claims about lost liberty when the reality is that we're really not being asked to do that much. Hell, half of TGO lives an eremite lifestyle so I would think that staying away from people would be an easy request.
  11. Earlier in the year I think your previous statement was right. My mom's friend works at Ft Sanders and they never had that many COVID patients at the same time. Now, I believe most are hitting critical mass. I think the info in that article I linked is correct.
  12. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2020/12/22/948908168/tennessee-hospitals-are-disturbingly-close-to-their-breaking-point "If we have another surge after Christmas and New Year's like we did after Thanksgiving, it will completely break our hospitals," Tennessee Health Commissioner Dr. Lisa Piercey said this week. A couple of Tennessee's rural hospitals have requested ventilators from the state's emergency stockpile. A federal emergency team has been sent to the mountainous northeast part of the state. And alternative care sites that were set up months ago, to deal with this kind of patient surge, are empty — rendered useless because there's no staff to run them.
  13. That is funny. My wife named ours Rosey after the robot on the Jetsons. She also tries to escape when we leave our door open.
  14. Yep. Now I feel like a jerk for making fun of it. And @Chucktshoes I'm pretty sure the 26, 27 and 33's are the "baby glocks".
  15. That's good to know. What's your take on the hog population in TN? Again, I've heard a lot of different things. A friend of mine has a family farm in Fentress county(800 or so acres). He says they have never come across evidence of hogs there which surprised me.
  16. Someone swore to me that once you kill a wild pig some sort of bacteria is released that makes them inedible... I guess I'll file that away in the B.S folder.
  17. It's gonna be tough to conceal that one. Congrats
  18. I've heard so many conflicting stories about eating wild pig. It's hard to know what the truth is.
  19. Between that an my vehicle's warranty running out I can barely sleep at night.
  20. 99% of the time that I get a call from someone not saved in my contacts it is spam. I don't even answer them. If it's important they will leave a voicemail.
  21. Putting a non-Toyota engine in a Toyota vehicle is a crime punishable by death.
  22. You and I have similar taste. I love the GX platform. The 470's recently started climbing in price. Nice choice on the SCS wheels. I'm obsessed with this guys 1st Gen. I just wish they had more power. I had a 91 with the 3.slooow V6 and it was pathetic.
  23. Apparently there is some confusion because O.J had one just like it but the one he actually ran from the cops in didn't belong to him. The getaway Bronco is still around https://www.sportscasting.com/what-happened-to-al-cowlings-o-j-simpsons-former-teammate-and-white-bronco-driver/
  24. That's neat. I watched a video a few years ago about OJ Simpson's famous white Bronco. It's still in pristine condition.
  25. I dont think they can even build one for that sadly. The cost of materials is so high. One of the guys on the Tundra forum just had his catalytic converters stolen. $6,000 to replace them....
