For those convinced "they" are inflating covid tests I want to share this. My wife has been sick for 6 days will all the normal covid symptoms. She got test results back today for her 3rd covid test. All 3 were negative. Even the doctor thought she had it. It turns out she has Bronchitis. It seems they missed a great opportunity to falsify covid tests.

There are some things worth paying for that might benefit society. I suspect that giving people access to mental health treatment may be one of those things. Whatever we're currently doing isn't working.

I'm surprised to hear you say that. I would be really concerned about who gets to decide if a person should be admitted to an asylum and what the criteria is. Seems like it would be easy to abuse. My turn to go conspiracy theorist. Imagine them throwing people in asylums if you have political views deemed to be too extreme. Isn't China the one doing reeducation camps? I'll pass.

You are correct but every time this is proposed others cry socialism when it comes to paying for this care.

I have the G21 Gen 4 which is the same grip size as the SF. It's a fantastic gun but it's HUGE. Full size doesn't adequately describe it. I can't carry it like I could my full size Glock 17. The 21 is for home defense and range fun only. I have no experience with the 30. Are you able to visit a gun store and handle both? That would be my advice. If I wanted a polymer .45 to carry there might be better options out there.

You know, the SRO in Florida stayed outside and got crucified for doing too little. This cop went in and handled the treat and now they are saying the police were too aggressive. I'm fine with criticizing the police when they deserve it, but I'm starting to think some people just won't be happy no matter what they do.

Good lesson here. I don't even talk to friends about how many guns I own. I don't like people to know when we're on vacation. When we have people over I make sure valuables(we don't have many ) are out of sight and guns are put away. Basically, the less people know, the better.

The comments from the community about this are getting ridiculous. They are acting as if the kid is a victim and hoping to paint this as another case of police brutality. I rarely engage with these people but couldn't stop myself last night. One woman said the cop should have allowed the kid to surrender after he started shooting. I told her next time we'll send in the social worker to disarm the kid and asked if she would volunteer.

That's embarrassing. This part is still confusing "According to the TBI, Thompson's handgun was fired during a struggle after officers responded to reports of a student armed with a gun and located him in a restroom." So they got in a physical struggle? Why not just clarify all this.

I get your frustration but there is a reason they say not to shoot the messenger. Check out lady, and even the store manager probably have zero decision making ability on that one. I'm sure that's a corporate policy.

Both my MIL and her mom were supposed to get the J&J vaccine tomorrow. I hope they will give them another one rather than cancel all together. Neither of them would do well if they got COVID.

Didn't you hear, their plan is to throw a bunch of money at the problem. Surely that will work. On a serious note, I'm not sure what they can and should do. It's not an easy fix.

Man the Knoxville reddit comments are pure cancer. Folks are blaming guns, Governor Lee, Mayor Jacobs. Anyone but the shooter of course. Somehow the new law(which doesn't even start until July) is to blame for an underage child bringing a gun to school.

I met a guy last week that was excited because he bought 1000 rounds of 9mm for $750... As long as people continue to pay those prices we're going to be stuck in this situation a while.

These tests are not 100% accurate, especially the rapid test. My wife currently has a fever, cough, and sore throat. She got the rapid test earlier and it came by negative. They said that the more days you've had symptoms the more accurate they are.

I'm still lost.

I wonder if it's safer in that scenario to stay with the vehicle. You would at least have shade and it's easier to find than a human. Side note, my wife actually got me one of these for my birthday. I'm still researching all it does but I do know a few things. 1) I can text with people. 2) it has an SOS button I can hit if I get hurt or break down. https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/561269

Firearm Safety Reminder (Graphic Warning But Totally Check It Out)

I'm 90% certain this is an old picture. I don't think this happened recently. -
I will say that the bluing is a little nicer than I expected. They seemed to get that right at least. The fact that it doesn't have any rust is also a surprise.
-
Agreed. Permitless carry might be a better name.
-
I don't think it's that bad. Essentially, if you can legally buy a gun, you can legally carry. That's good. I didn't have expectations going into this that a person under 21 could start carrying a gun. It's not a great bill, but a great step in that direction.

Good to know. When they handed it to me, it was loaded and half the rounds had been fired. Apparently Granny had fired it off her back porch a few times. I was told that they inherited it from her husband's aunt. I'm assuming it's pretty old.
