Exactly. This is what happens when I get bored on a Tuesday evening. I almost killed our Rav4 in that parking lot earlier this summer. I pulled in near that Sonic after a hard rain and the entrance was extremely deceiving. Water came over the HOOD of our Rav4 and I about shat my pants. I was concerned enough to immediately turn it off and make sure the air filter wasn't wet. Then we proceeded to watch other vehicles make the same mistake. One car missed the entrance entirely and drilled the curb. They left parts of their bumper on the ground. My wife's coworker did the same thing last week and hyrdolocked her engine in the exact same spot. I know it sounds like we're idiots but it looks like a normal puddle at that entrance until you are in it. Also not denying I'm an idiot at times. Actual footage of coworker.

Yep. I think he is the manager of Sonic. I would have told them they don't pay enough to walk out in pecker deep rain water.
-
I think he was looking for the storm drain. This lot always floods but this is the worst I've seen it.
-
Yep. We just did a flood tour. Not looking good in places.

Hipsters maybe. Hippies haven't been around in a while.

Middle TN got enough rain to cancel Bonnaroo.

Sigh...We know the answer. Also, they put a pause on federal student loan payments. Of course, you could still pay if you wanted to, and the entire payment would have gone to the principal. So you could actually pay them off a lot faster. Instead of doing this, I have two friends that just stopped paying them entirely. Both have good jobs. I think they are hoping the debt will be forgiven but I really doubt it.

I need to buy a rain gauge. We have some minor flooding in Knoxville according to the news. Just a slow steady rain at my house today.

Ok. I'm fine admitting I fell for it. What was the redirect?

I'm not necessarily disagreeing, but I'm curious what makes you guys say this. I feel like Biden would much rather be able to claim he "solved" this problem than let it drag out. At least to some degree, Covid is still hurting the economy, hiring, and growth. For the most part, they are allowing the states to decide how they handle this, just like Trump did. Are you seeing some continued power grabs? I get the runaway spending is still happening but that's no change from before.

Be safe @A.J. Holst

He definitely has COVID and his doc gave him that antibody infusion today thankfully. I didn't even know about this treatment until he mentioned it.
-
He has heart disease and some other issues that they haven't figured out. He's only 64 though. Young enough to help with drywall. We both hurt the next day.

I've mentioned my dad a few times saying I wish he would get vaccinated. He said he was going to a month or so ago but never did. Today he tested positive. Apparently one of his coworkers came to work even though she had symptoms. He's ok for now but sounded rough when I spoke to him earlier. Stay safe folks.

That's fair. I'm certainly no expert on this. There are new studies being done constantly so who knows what changes. @MacGyver might have some good info on that J&J shot.
-
I took the J&J shot and I'm still sucking air. I had a mild fever that night for a few hours and my arm hurt like any other vaccine. Aside from that nothing noticeable. It's the least effective of the 3 vaccine though.
-
Growing up I was always told TN had some strange law about who could claim ownership of road kill. I always wondered if it was true. Also, we have seriously derailed this thread.
-
I think the argument can also be made that some that have taken the vaccine are no longer being careful. I know I fall into this category. I stopped wearing a mask months ago and go all sorts of places that are full of people. I still wash my hands because people are nasty but I could definitely be more careful.

From that link. "During pre-EUA clinical trials for the Pfizer/BioNTech mRNA biologic involving 42,000 participants, there were four reported cases of Bell’s palsy among those who had received the biologic. In pre-EUA trials for the Moderna/NIAID biologic, which included 30,000 participants, there were four reported cases of Bell’s palsy and three of the cases had received the product.7"

I never said I don't eat meat. It's interesting that diehard carnivores are just as militant as some of the vegetarians out there. It's like meat-eating has become some sort of macho sport. I like ribs just as much as the next person but I can also appreciate some meals I've had that didn't include meat.

You know it was severe based on the fact that this little town has been getting constant national news coverage. Even the head of FEMA toured the damage with Bill Lee. Hopefully they get all the resources they need.

Let your wife know everyone on TGO is thinking about her right now. The fact that the Neurologist is saying positive things has to be a great sign.

I've had plant based burgers so good you couldn't tell they were not real meat.

I thought Sig already had a recall on this same issue years ago for the same gun?

HCP expired Almost 5 years ago - Renewal Process???
Erik88 replied to SupraMario's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I think they changed the rules to make it easier. My dad left TN for 8 years. When he moved back to TN in 2019 the DMV employee noticed he had a carry permit in the past and asked if he wanted to renew to which my dad said yes. They sent him a new permit in the mail. He didn't have to go through the process again. When I moved back to TN in 2015 my wife and I had to go through the entire class again. Something changed in between 2015-2019.
