Honest question. Does anyone know how much oil is left to pull from the earth? A quick Google search says we have enough for 47 years. I do not know if this is accurate. That isn't a very long time. I get the arguments against all electric vehicles but I'm curious, if electric isn't the solution, what is? Most of us will be dead by then but I'm genuinely curious what our kids and grandkids will be using for transportation by that point.

I like my gas powered truck but I recognize change is inevitable. I imagine people complained when we made the switch from horse to automobile too.

I would feel un-American if I DIDN'T carry a gun at Waffle House.

Have any cities in the US been able to stop violence in worst parts of town? I can't think of many.

Not a single snowflake yet here in Knoxville. Typical.

I would love if Knoxville got a foot of snow once. Bring it on.

I don't see anything wrong with Chattanooga. It's a nice small city. Congrats on the move Whisper. I would definitely make a visit to GT Distributors.

This part stuck out at me "She said her husband used her AR-15 and fired into the air as they heard their neighbors firing guns into the air, too. He does not have a concealed carry permit, but she does, she said, adding that the gun belongs to her. "We do this every year because it was New Year's Eve," she said. "Everybody (in the neighborhood) was shooting. It was a tradition. Everybody shoots on New Year's Eve." I have long wondered who the retards are that fire their guns into the air to celebrate. I cannot believe these people think this is acceptable. I had to go to YouTube to find the video. I guess I can see both points but I'm having a hard time finding sympathy for the deceased. He could have easily killed someone firing into the air like that. Did he deserve to die? No. But I also can understand why the cop might feel threatened. Imagine if he announces his presence and then the victim immediately unloads on him. That has happened before.

I find myself feeling this way a lot lately. The last 5 years it's been one conspiracy theory after another. It's exhausting trying to keep up with all the things that the government is supposedly doing to us. I read a lot of comments from folks that claim to have it all figured out and that their sources are somehow more credible than the rest. They may be right but none of us really have a way of fact checking things anymore. For every link I find to prove a point someone else can find one that proves me wrong. Ultimately, people believe what they want to believe. To your point, I can't do anything about it anyways. I know one thing, voting for a specific party isn't going to make all the bullsh*t disappear. Life goes on for me either way.

Assuming it was made in a lab, which I actually tend to believe, how exactly is Fauci complicit in that? I thought he admitted a while back that was a possibility. I don't really have strong opinions about him. It seems people started hating him as soon as he started to publicly disagree with Trump.

The link in the original post takes us to a website that lacks credibility. It reminds me of scenes from A Beautiful Mind or Mel Gibson's Conspiracy Theory. To be fair to Mel, he was right about everything. Black helicopters and all. I can't speak to the other info. Reefer did a copy/paste from somewhere with no link. What I see a lot of is people only ingesting information that backs up their existing beliefs. We are all guilty of this.

And how do you guys know these reports are accurate? What is your criteria for determining what is fake news and what isn't?

Agreed. The 4.7L is one of the most reliable engines they have ever made. And yes, the 1st gen Tundra was substantially smaller than the current generation. It's amazing how big trucks have gotten over the years. Here is my 02. I took this picture today.

There was at least 8" up on parts of the Cherohala. Some drifts were a foot deep. There were also a lot of downed trees. We had a great time playing in it.

Ohio father shoots 16 year old daughter thought she was intruder
Erik88 replied to Dirtshooter's topic in General Chat
I'm gonna hold off on judgement here. The article was so short and the media isn't exactly the most reliable at this point. Years ago my wife's cousin got in a wreck which resulted in her child passing. Local news said there were drugs found in the car which wasn't true and she was never charged with anything. If the dad went downstairs after the alarm went off then who knows what happened. I'm sure no one feels worse than he does at this point. I can't even imagine what he's going through. -
Or Krystal. I don't know how they are still in business.

Too few details. It says their alarm was activated. I wonder if she was sneaking back into the house after sneaking out. -
There is a new-ish state park that looks outstanding called Pogue Creek. Also, if you haven't hiked to the Twin Arches in BSF I would definitely consider that.

I keep trying bourbon here and there but have yet to acquire a taste for it. Someday I hope to be man enough... Anyone like Mezcal?

I've never heard of it. Is this it? Not working from my phone. https://twrf.net/elk-cam/

If that type of pill worked then 42% of Americans wouldn't be obese.

January is horrible at Planet Fitness. All the new years resolution folks show up around the 2nd or 3rd week. They disappear by March though.

Same situation with my dad. He's only 65 but he's really stopped being active the past 5 years and it's showing. I had him over doing light duty with a chainsaw and he was worn out and winded after a few minutes. I beg him to come to the gym with me but he won't do it.
