My friends and I are going hiking Sunday since the weather is supposed to be nice. I was wondering if anyone had a trail to recommend either in the Smokies or in Cherokee National Forrest. Looking for maybe a 5-7 mile round trip. We aren't too picky. Thanks.

My dad owns the SR9 and yes it is a pleasure to shoot. Not too heavy for such a big gun. Trigger is great. Dead on accurate as well. Adjustable sights too if I'm not mistaken. High capacity mags(17+1). Only thing I noticed are hints of cheapness. Safety feels gritty to me. But overall a great shooter, not one I would buy personally but it's a solid gun. And they are priced reasonably too. My dad picked his up at the gun show. we think the woman made a mistake because she sold it too him for 330+tax.

I understand that, my only beef is the fact that most of the people that badmouth Taurus have not owned one. I have a 24 7 that has been flawless through almost 400 rds. My 500$ Sig is giving me a lot of problems. Ruger has recalled both the LCP and the SR9 yet no one one is going around bashing them. Just my .02. Sorry to the OP for the thread hijack. As to your question, I would NOT take the trade but only because I think the Judge is very impractical. Good luck

It's definitely not my first choice but I paid it off early so right now it's the smartest choice. I'm a 4x4 kinda guy. I had a 4Runner and Pathfinder before the Acura that were great.

So you are sure you had the defective mag? I finally got through today and the guy was great, he is sending me a new mag with no questions asked. I was expecting to have to send pictures like you did but I guess I got lucky.

first picture is of the 2 magazines so you can see the difference. The one on the LEFT is the OLD one. It does not work. Notice how much taller it is and a different shape. sorry about the poor quality, i don't have a great camera.

See, yours is different than mine though. Yes it appears to be rounded off, but mine is only on one side and it is definitely not supposed to be that way. You should post a picture of your magazine and I could tell you if you have the old "ski ramp" style someone mentioned above. Apparently those were only on the first models. If your gun is newer than mine you should have the updated magazine.

Mine looks just like that but with the other black grips. I just wish mine was reliable. Hopefully yours will be flawless. When you get some ammo please post a range report.

If you're talking about the desert eagle then Coal Creek has one in their rental case. Ammo is sold as a pack of 5 for $15. Not worth it IMO.

He never shot the gun. He bought it new and never shot it. He's a nice guy so I'm sure he will make it right if it comes to that but I was trying to deal with it on my own first.
