  1. Dang! that code didn't work. Thanks for the info though!
  2. The bare asset is not intended to be used for competition purposes and I highly doubt you would have to worry about accidental discharge. However, I will agree that 1 handed holstering will be next to impossible and with a Glock I would be nervous as well. My EDC has a thumb safety so I don't have that issue. That option looks good for safety but looks very uncomfortable. Best of luck with your decision. I also recommend the Blackhawk Serpa CQC, with the right clothes in the winter it is concealable. Summer, far less likely
  3. Only at the gunshow. I picked up 500 rds of WWB for $129+tax
  4. I bought my first gun at Frontier Firearms in Kingston. Great customer service and competitive pricing as well. Gunny's is average at best. I plan on going to Bill's Outpost soon to see what he has. Best of luck!
  5. check out High Noon Holsters I purchased the IWB bare asset from them and it has been great. It only cost me $30.
  6. Thanks guys
  7. just average IMO
  8. If I buy a gun online and have it shipped to a local FFL do I need to let the FFL know first or can I just ship it? Also, does anyone know the cheapest FFL in the Knoxville area, I think someone said Bill's Outpost was cheap but I can't remember the price.
  9. There will be a lot of debate about this. I don't advocate open carry either but I did it for the first time this past weekend in the Smokies while I was hiking. I had only positive experiences from it. One guy even talked guns with me for a long time. However, for most places open carry is a bad idea because it just draws unnecessary attention. Only advantage I can think of would be a quicker draw perhaps.
  10. Your response served no purpose at all other than to annoy and take up space in the thread. Why bother responding:screwy: Some of the people on here would be better off lurking around as guests.
  11. This is what I would expect from that guy. warning explicit language at the end.
  12. It probably happens to her more than we realize.
  13. Good call, I didn't even see that and I usually check the rating first.
  14. MFS 2000 is on sale on cabela's website. It's really cheap. Does anyone have experience with this brand? here is the link http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0073215217158a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&Ntk=Products&QueryText=.380+ammo&sort=all&Go.y=0&N=0&Nty=1&hasJS=true&_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.form23&Go.x=0
  15. I've been curious about the .357sig round for a while now but I've been hesitant because of price and availability. How is the recoil in that round vs. a 9mm or .40?
  16. I need to go practice
  17. Ya it would have been a blast to go all the way to the top but it just wasn't possible without proper gear, which we didn't have. There were a few times when we were crawling up the trail on all 4's because it was so slick.
  18. Some friends and I decided to go hiking today. They wanted to try Rainbow falls so we headed that way. As we headed there we were stopped because the road was closed for construction so we ended up taking another trail up to Alum Cave instead. We had no idea there was going to be snow because the forecast was calling for temperatures around 58. Man were we wrong. 6-8" on the trail. It was a blast. Some hikers went all the way to Mt. LeConte where they had 48 inches of snow!
  19. man that was sad. My brother did 2 tours in Iraq and we almost lost him to a roadside bomb. Makes you appreciate everything they do for us.
  20. I'm drooling over your flashlight collection.. 4sevens makes some great flashlights. I've been watching Nutnfancy on youtube talk about them. YouTube - Quark AA2 Tactical flashlight: Pack Leader
  21. Is she using the fine tip sharpie?
  22. Is there some gray area there with knives? I carry my blade in my right front pocket every day. I pass UTK LEO's and they have never said anything. I'm sure they haven't noticed though. I think the wording is "intent to go armed"
  23. You are not permitted to carry on college campus. But don't worry it's a "gun free" zone so there won't be any need to carry. Criminals don't bring guns to those areas. YouTube - Gun Free Zone - Get Yours Today!
  24. The only one I have seen that I didn't think was tacky was after an incident a few years ago. One of the kids at my high school went nuts and killed a police officer with the Loudon County Sheriffs Department. Jason Scott. I don't think it was disrespectful because it reminds everyone of the sacrifice he made. Deputy Sheriff Jason Scott
