  1. That would scare the crap out of me. My biggest fear is the fact that I can sleep through anything. I keep both bedroom doors locks because I figure if they kick those in, it will be loud enough to wake me up. That's the idea anyways. As to whether I would clear the house? I would think that I probably would but I hope I never have to.
  2. I'm in the same boat, I'm wanting a 3rd pistol in a bigger caliber than what I already own. I'm looking at the Glock 23 and the Sig p250 in .40 cal. I recently sold a G 27, those things are hand cannons. I don't like the kel-techs at all, is the the brand you don't trust or the caliber? How about you sell me the G23 and then you aren't out any money?? here is also a good deal. XD40 subcompact(the picture is wrong) Springfield 40S 3" SUBCMPT ESSENTIAL for Sale at Buds Gun Shop $439.00

  4. we need to start calling each other or something. every time I see a deal on ammo, I run out to wal-mart and it's already too late. I've been trying to find .380 ammo for weeks. Wal-mart in turkey creek has several thousand rounds of 9mm RWS I think is the brand. 124 gr FMJ 17$ a box.
  5. what exactly would a trigger job be? and how much does that cost? Should I just save my money and go for a nicer gun? I like the Sig p250 and the Glock 23. Springfield XD 4" would be nice also. All of which would run me a lot more money.

    OS I thought you carried a XD9SC?
  7. I always checks budsgunshop.com for sales and stumbled across this gun. I've been thinking about acquiring a new gun in .40 for a while now but I had not considered this one. Does anyone own one? I've been checking around online and keep getting mixed reviews however most people seem to have only good things to say. Buds has a unique polished version for sale for only $329 and there is a $50 mail-in rebate. That is CHEAP. What do you guys think? https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/auction_info.php/products_id/411539388/auctions_id/578/page/1/auction_show/1

Are you saying they passed it again?
  9. +1 on the Streamlight TLR-3 Tactical Gun Mount Series - TLR-3 | Streamlight
  10. Dang! that code didn't work. Thanks for the info though!
  11. The bare asset is not intended to be used for competition purposes and I highly doubt you would have to worry about accidental discharge. However, I will agree that 1 handed holstering will be next to impossible and with a Glock I would be nervous as well. My EDC has a thumb safety so I don't have that issue. That option looks good for safety but looks very uncomfortable. Best of luck with your decision. I also recommend the Blackhawk Serpa CQC, with the right clothes in the winter it is concealable. Summer, far less likely
  12. Only at the gunshow. I picked up 500 rds of WWB for $129+tax
  13. I bought my first gun at Frontier Firearms in Kingston. Great customer service and competitive pricing as well. Gunny's is average at best. I plan on going to Bill's Outpost soon to see what he has. Best of luck!
  14. check out High Noon Holsters I purchased the IWB bare asset from them and it has been great. It only cost me $30.
  15. Thanks guys
  16. just average IMO
  17. If I buy a gun online and have it shipped to a local FFL do I need to let the FFL know first or can I just ship it? Also, does anyone know the cheapest FFL in the Knoxville area, I think someone said Bill's Outpost was cheap but I can't remember the price.
  18. There will be a lot of debate about this. I don't advocate open carry either but I did it for the first time this past weekend in the Smokies while I was hiking. I had only positive experiences from it. One guy even talked guns with me for a long time. However, for most places open carry is a bad idea because it just draws unnecessary attention. Only advantage I can think of would be a quicker draw perhaps.
  19. Your response served no purpose at all other than to annoy and take up space in the thread. Why bother responding:screwy: Some of the people on here would be better off lurking around as guests.
  20. This is what I would expect from that guy. warning explicit language at the end.
  21. It probably happens to her more than we realize.
  22. Good call, I didn't even see that and I usually check the rating first.
  23. MFS 2000 is on sale on cabela's website. It's really cheap. Does anyone have experience with this brand? here is the link http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0073215217158a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&Ntk=Products&QueryText=.380+ammo&sort=all&Go.y=0&N=0&Nty=1&hasJS=true&_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.form23&Go.x=0
  24. I've been curious about the .357sig round for a while now but I've been hesitant because of price and availability. How is the recoil in that round vs. a 9mm or .40?
