  1. I would send it back in to Glock and have it checked out.
  2. Don't let Ohshoot take aim to it. Someone will get shot in the forehead!!!

    Sig owners?

Sigs are some of the best shooting handguns. Honestly, they shoot themselves. I shot better with the 226 than any other gun but it's all about trade offs. They are heavy!!! I still love them though and I will be adding more to my collection when I grow up and get a real job!
  4. All good ideas so far, thanks for the help guys. I'll keep you posted!

  6. this thread made me realize that I really need to practice drawing.....and I really need to become a better shooter in general. practice practice practice!!!
  7. thanks for the tip. I'll definitely look into that.
  8. UPDATE! Matt is showing signs of improvement daily. Doctors are very optimistic and do not believe he will have long term memory loss. He's still in critical condition but all news so far had been positive. Thank you for all the prayers. This is a great group of people we have here on TGO
  9. I have been wanting to get night sights installed on both my XD and my Glock but I haven't been able to decide on a brand I like. I like the trijicons but I hear they aren't as bright as other brands and the TFO's are way too big for my taste but are supposed to be very bright. Will it cost me much more to just send the guns back and have factory night sights installed and what kind of turn around time should I expect?
  10. I was really impressed with the M&P compact that I shot. Great size and weight and fabulous shooter. I also like the ergo's of the Walther PPS that you mentioned but I have not shot one. As Bronker said, I carry either a Glock 19 or XD .40 S.C. Or when I'm at work my Sig p238 stays in my pocket.
  11. I will be praying for you! Stay alert out there
  12. update: just left the hospital and Matt is out of surgery. They have repaired most of the damage to his face and the surgery went very well. He still needs a lot of people praying for him. He is expected to be in a coma for few more weeks. Thanks for all the support so far, it really means a lot.
  13. update! Matt is in ICU currently. Medically induced coma to control the swelling in his brain. Odds are looking in his favor. Target shooter: He tried to go under a bridge and hit his head on a concrete pillar. Please continue to keep him in your prayers!

  15. Really glad you're ok Mac! I read the title for this thread and then had to go change my boxers. Reading this story was all I needed to make sure I never go shooting again with eyes unprotected! Speaking of which, I need to come up soon and do some shooting with you guys, it's been a while. Again, glad to hear you are fine.
  16. Suntzu I've only met you once but if you need an extra for the road trip count me in! Always wanted to see Memphis
  17. 3 days behind apparently
  18. when bronker mentioned recently in another thread that he is 6'6 350 pounds I can't stop picturing him as this.

    First gun question

For a weapon light I really like the Streamlight products. I have one of these and it is BRIGHT! Very affordable as well. Streamlight TLR3 LED Weaponlight IN STOCK and ready to ship! As far as night sights goes, I have no idea. I'm trying to figure out what to get as well. I hear good things about the Tru-Glow TFO sights.

    First gun question

No home is complete without a Glock 19. However there could be several great possibilities that would be great for home protection. I would suggest choosing a gun that allows a weapon light to be attached. Night sights would also be a plus!
  21. bahaha, are you serious? That's a little ridiculous.
  22. I love all the Geico commercials, but this one is great!
  23. I think it's time I find an LCR to go shoot. Thanks for all the good advice so far guys
