interesting, so they didn't say anything about you carrying while drinking a beer? I do the same thing with friends but I wasn't sure the legality. I usually have 1-2 beers and then wait an hour or so before driving home. I've wondered what the law says about carrying on private property+drinking? edit to add: I'm sure you didn't tell the cop you were drinking but I'm assuming he could smell it fairly easily.
