  1. very nice setup! Tell me more about that particular 1911. I'm just now starting to research them.
  2. those definitely are not common carry guns but cool none the less. that FNP would be a beast to conceal ey?
  3. looks like a good concealed carry piece
  4. It's true.
  5. I'm in, don't know that I can give a whole lot but I'll do what I can!

mostly agree with you. The Taurus I HAD was great but I understand they aren't that highly thought of overall. I would own another one day if they came out with something I really liked. I will say this, while their quality is questionable the have hands down the best ergonomics. If they one day are as reliable as other manufacturers they will have a hell of a gun. your last statement is a little off though. You won't find a brand new XD for $375. Not even close. But I do see your point.
  7. I wish we had an Academy up here. I do have a Columbia coat thats great for fall but it's not quite warm enough for winter. I have plenty of thin coats for the fall but none that are warm enough for winter. Thanks for your help though!
  8. I thought about that. I was wondering how they stack up compared to other brands.
  9. I will when you contribute to the thread.....
  10. Good suggestion but I was hoping for something water resistant! Thanks though SIR
  11. I appreciate the offer friend but I am a tiny tiny little man. no way I could wear a large. don't let my profile picture fool you
  12. I know it's just now fall but there are a lot of great sales right now and I need a WARM winter coat. I have plenty of light fall coats but none are warm enough for this coming winter. I've been looking at North Face coats but they have a million models to choose from and they are expensive even on sale. I tried on a few Carhartt coats and the zippers were horrible. Again, this needs to be warm enough for this winter but not so I look like the kid on the Christmas Story. Not so bulky I can't move my arms.
  13. Welcome to this fine state!! I think you will really enjoy your time here. I hear good things about the PPS and I find them appealing myself. I bit too expensive for my taste but I wouldn't mine having one. Just a couple things about TN 1) In TN it's called a Handgun Carry Permit(HCP). It is not a CCW permit because you can carry either openly or concealed. Your choice. 2) To obtain a permit you must take a class, you should have plenty of options near Clarksville. The class usually ranges from $65-80 depending on where you go. Then you must go to the DMV and pay $115. After that you must go get fingerprinted which is included in the cost of the permit, and then you must pass the background check. Wait times are currently very short. You could probably get your permit within a month after being printed. I'm not sure what your options are in Clarksville but you can probably go get printed at UPS if there is one near you. 3) This is a great group of people on here and most would bend over backwards to help you out. Enjoy your stay and don't be afraid to ask questions! Welcome!

I had a Taurus 24/7 Compact and loved it. Best feeling gun in my hand and it packed a mean punch at either 13+1 or 17+1. Only problem is that it wasn't accurate at all. I would give them another chance one day though. That's a nice looking pistol.
  15. this reminds me of this website..... warning, offensive language. E-mails from an Asshole
  16. this^^^ And I've personally dealt with the guys at WD. They were nice and helpful but their prices are outrageous and they won't negotiate. I wouldn't be surprised if they knew exactly what the guy was worth.
  17. I'm not going to lie, that is one cool looking car. I would be so nervous buying a car online though.
  18. exactly!! I think only 1 or 2 people answered. I'm still sticking with %20-30 or permit holders actually carry.
  19. Sounds like a lot of fun! Welcome to TGO!!!
  20. you did an excellent job of taking things out of context... The whole point of this was to discuss why someone might get a HCP if they don't ever plan on carrying. Just because I carry as often as possible doesn't make me a "vigilante" or a "gung ho gunslinger" you sound just like one of the anti's right now.....go troll elsewhere.
  21. and some more I found.
  22. my ex gf has the dogs now but I still go see them. We adopted both almost 2 years ago. Kona and Porter
