  1. very nice!
  2. what? It's well known that RWD cars do terrible in the snow compared to FWD or 4x4.
  3. I say either a Ruger SP101 to go with your GP100 or a CZ. I've recently been bitten by the CZ bug. I love my glocks for carry but I really want a CZ. They fit my hand like a glove.
  4. I've been looking for a PCR as well. CCA here in Knoxville has one but they are asking way to much for it. Report back if you find one. I would drive a decent distance.
  5. my first handgun was a Taurus 24/7 compact, in 9mm. I sold it for some silly reason. Wish I still had it sometimes.
  6. that picture is awesome.
  7. those Subaru's do great in the snow. Last year we got a decent snow and the roads were solid ice. The only 2 cars that made it up the hill on our rd were a Subaru and some huge Chevy truck. Granted, most of the other failed attempts were because people around here are horrible drivers in the snow.
  8. even with 4WD it wouldn't go anywhere? My little Acura tore up the last snow storm and I have crappy tires. On ice, no vehicle does well. But I'm surprised that you had a problem with the snow.
  9. very nice! Love the p238
  10. I wasn't trying to put down leather. I'd LOVE to have a leather belt. I was just wondering how he can say that leather will out last nylon. Maybe, maybe not. And Greg, you seem to be old school(nothing wrong with that) but I would wager that despite your love of fine leather, you might see that a strong nylon belt can be appropriate at times when leather wouldn't. (dirty, wet environments. etc). Again, I think both leather and nylon have advantages, each suitable for different jobs. Not trying to start a debate.
  11. have anything to back up this bold statement? I would wager that over time leather WILL stretch. I can't say the same about the Wilderness belt. Plus, if leather gets wet..............ya
  12. I have one of these. It does pretty well holding up a Glock. Not sure if it would sustain the weight of a 1911 but it can't be beat for the money. I will eventually order a nice leather belt but right now I like using my Wilderness belt. More than strong enough.
  13. highly doubt it. One of my good friends is the manager at the Peter's Rd location. I can assure you, they are not going to change. The are highly "corporate" and the reason they do so well is because they have inexpensive food. In order to improve their quality they would have to raise their prices.
  14. I could go on and on about my feelings on TABC. They are a joke! Thanks for speaking up! Applebees food still sucks but at least we can carry there!
  15. very sorry to hear this. My brother was nearly killed by an IED during his 2nd tour in Iraq. He was the only person in the Humvee that lived. I'll be thinking about him.
  16. Bonefish is good, but not good enough for me to spend money there. Same as P.F Changs. I miss their food but I will not go back. As for your original question I really don't have anything to add that hasn't already been stated.
  17. I believe in unidentified flying objects yes, do I believe alien spacecraft is out there? meh, I dunno. Anything is possible though.
  18. 2.15 here That's what seniority gets you LOL
  19. that's a good idea. Learn proper technique with the .22 and once you master the shooting skills then step up to something bigger.
  20. just curious, why do you want a .22 for your first gun? Because of cheap ammo or what?
  21. ya know, I could spend a long time explaining this to you, and making you look like a fool. But judging by your other recent posts I can tell that you don't feel you are ever wrong and you refuse to accept the opinions of others on this board. I'm not real concerned though because I imagine you will be "on vacation" before too long.
  22. ohhhh, forgot my favorite!! THE VERBAL TIP!!! "great service, thank you so much" then they give my %5. :lmao: I don't even get mad anymore. I'm actually thankful for everything I've learned from this job.
  23. wow, that's really rude. And that's a great tip! I'd be more than happy to receive $5 on a tab that small.
  24. you should send it to me, if I can break it then I'll send it back
  25. Oh, and I forgot to add a few points. I work in the bar area a lot, that's where the real $$ is. If you decide to go out drinking and you sit there for a long time and have several beers, please leave more than $3-4. Even if your tab is only $15 dollars you have to keep in mind that when you hold my table up for hours and then only leave a few bucks, I actually LOSE money from you being there. Servers make money when they can turn a table several times. A good rule of thumb is to tip $1 per drink, especially if you set there all night. Oh, and the jokes about the Sunday morning crowd are all true. The absolute worst tips come on Sunday mornings. I think because most people tithe %10 at church they decide to tip the same. I can't figure it out. But it's ok because they always make sure to leave me the religious pamphlets too
