  1. Hmmm. I wonder if the LCR is close enough to a S&W?
  2. wow! 3 locations just in Maryville. That's kinda strange. I need to check it out.
  3. beautiful! Do you ever make pocket holsters? That's is only way I carry my LCR.
  4. deal! now I need to find out where Macon county is.
  5. I have mostly handguns. Only rifle is a 10/22. I am definitely more interested in handguns but there are a few long guns I will eventually have. Ruger Mini 14 is on my list.
  6. haha Joe that's awesome! It reminds me of when I use my credit card at places like wal-mart. That stupid screen that makes you sign with that electronic pen is so pointless. I usually sign "Darth Vader" or just "elvis" and it always says "signature accepted". So silly.
  7. awesome thread! Sad I missed out today. I'll definitely join next time!
  8. the mug is definitely NOT in any danger. That's a 1911 and we all know those things never work long enough to harm anything
  9. interesting. I'm wondering who the new guy is? I bet Dolomite is behind this
  10. because think how quickly someone could go from having their back to you to turning and shooting at you. Why give him/her the opportunity? And also, in all the commotion do you think that you are really going to be able to make that conscious decision that "oh, he has his back to me so I better hold my fire" Maybe I'm just putting too much thought into this?
  11. I hope I never have to shoot anyone, but if they are in my house regardless of which way they are going, I'm going to send lead in their direction. YMMV
  12. I believe that if they are in your house you can shoot them where ever you please. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong. Just because someone has their back to you doesn't mean they are no longer a threat. I'm pretty sure someone can run and shoot behind them at the same time.
  13. cool thanks.
  14. cliff notes^^^?
  15. Well I have to disagree here. After doing this for nearly 6 years I can look pretty quickly at the birthday and expiration date and glance at the picture. If the person is young like me then I take a longer look. And yes I hate the zip code thing. I was buying something for my GF at Victorias Secret and they wanted my freaking zip code, email, blood type, sperm sample, and voter registration. It was ridiculous.
  16. ya, they tell us this is still the law. However, I get different answers depending on what manager I ask. That is why I was hoping someone here could find out what the actual laws are.
  17. Each one is going to be worth a different amount. Unless you just need the money, I would hold on to the collection unless it has no sentimental value. I think it might be cool to frame it and mount it. And I think(hope) the dollar will eventually get stronger so it might only go up in value if you wait.
  18. completely understand Greg. Oh, and I should also mention that I'm not allowed to serve someone if their ID is expired. Even if they are of age. I don't really agree with it, but I have to do it. Also, it amazes me how many women don't carry ID. Last night I had an older woman who said her ID was at home. This just seems irresponsible to me. What if she was in an accident and they couldn't figure out who she was. It's mostly women who do this, not as many men.
  19. thanks for the responses everyone. I'm not sure why people get so upset about it. I'd still like to see proof of what the actual law is. Where is Falllguy and OhShoot?
  20. The restaurant I work at tells us to ask everyone for ID if they order alcohol. Some people say it's state law to ID everyone and others say it's not a law. I've been told that if TABC comes in and I fail to ID them(even if they are OVER 21) that I can be fined $1,500. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what the actual law is? Also, does it bother you when you are asked to show ID? I have lost count of how many people get pissed at me when I ask for ID. I really don't see what the big deal is. It literally takes 2 seconds to get your wallet out and show me your DL. I had 2 people get pissed at me tonight and I explained that I'm just doing my job. It's amazing how upset people get about the issue.
  21. very cool! I like the duck one the most
  22. thanks for the responses so far guys. I'll look into those trails.
  23. Man, I hope she is a great shot! You could not have picked a more difficult gun for her to qualify with. I love my LCR but it would be last on my list of guns to use at the class. You may want to consider renting her something different that way she doesn't fail the shooting test. I'm not saying your wife is incapable at all, hell she could be a great shot for all I know. I'm just saying that the LCR is meant to be shot at very short distances. The written part of my test covered things like "identify the parts of a revolver/semi auto" I was a complete newb when I took the test and did just fine. It's really easy.
  24. ahhh, good choice! Welcome to TGO!
