The Preon II is a great light. I had one but ended up selling it because it kept turning its self on while in my pocket. I carry a Stylus Pro and it does the job. I like the Spyderco too!

I'm not sure what good it would do, but you should consider calling or emailing Lisa Knight. She works in the office that issues the HCP's and she is usually really helpful. oh THAT guy. He's the same guy who told me he doesn't carry a round in the chamber of his XD because he is quick enough to load it if he needs to. He then proceeded to show me right there in the store how "fast" he was. When I mentioned that I was looking at a few guns for my GF he went on an on about how I should get her something like the SP101...... If I want advice like that I'll start asking at the gun shows.

I always glance at the front door but I wouldn't say that I go "CSI" on it. A perfect example is Regal theaters. I've been to a few different Regal theaters easily a few hundred times and never noticed the tiny gunbuster sign until someone on TGO mentioned it. When buying tickets one night I literally looked for several minutes before finally finding it. It is maybe the size of a quarter and listed on a little plaque that has all their policies. I do NOT consider that to be "clearly visible".

It's your decision on what you want to do. In TN you are not required to inform the officer you are carrying unless he asks you. Personally I will always notify the officer if I'm carrying. My friend is a LEO and says he appreciates it when people tell him. The only time I've been pulled over while carrying was a KPD officer and he was really cool about it. Let me go with a warning.
