  1. I wondered about the EDC version but I ended up ordering the Jumbo because I found a nice used one. And as far as the universal CCW holster, jury is still out on that one. I'm not sure I trust it enough to hold my Glock with a round in the chamber.
  2. I sent an email to my Rep a few days ago and never got a response.
  3. very sorry to hear about this. Hang in there!
  4. I like my wilderness belt. I wish I would have ordered a slightly smaller size but it's a great belt.
  5. The Fatboy has a very small CCW pouch, so small that I didn't feel I could get a positive draw on the gun at all. My G19 would fit, but it was tight and drawing the weapon was slllloooww. I'm sure with practice it wouldn't have been as much of an issue but it wasn't just the CCW pouch that was small. The whole bag is much smaller than in looks online. I plan on using the bag when I go to the beach in a few weeks to hold my gun and other items therefore I want something bigger than the Fatboy. The name is deceiving, they should rename it the littleboy. For my needs I just wanted something bigger. I like the fact that the Jumbo has the H20 holder and I think I will be able to fit a lot more gear in it. YMMV. Hope this helps.
  6. this same exact thing happened to a friend of my Mom a few years ago at the Nashville airport. She forgot her Glock 26 was in her purse. Apparently she didn't learn her lesson because just last week she remembered to take the gun out but forgot about her knife.
  7. I had the Fatboy and sold it. It is much much smaller than I was expecting. I have a Jumbo on the way and it should be here by tomorrow. I think the UTG bag would work just fine. I would have ordered one but I found a great deal on a used Jumbo. If you're a member on edcforum.com you can find good deals in the classified section. A lot of guys sell their slightly used maxpedition gear there. Oh, and the UTG bag is cheaper on Amazon. Amazon.com: UTG Multi-functional Tactical Messenger Bag: Sports & Outdoors
  8. from what I've heard, those SHO's were pretty fast when they actually ran. There was a famous police chase in Wyoming where the bad guy was driving a SHO.
  9. I put one in my 03 Maxima that I had and didn't notice any difference at all. Gas mileage didn't improve in the least.
  10. ya. Maybe I'll post a separate thread about that.
  11. read the home page. manufacturing costs are going up. Ammunition To Go : Your one stop for all of your ammunition needs!
  12. oh now you decide you need .40
  13. nope. Ammo prices are actually going up on May 1
  14. It depends. Sometimes it can get annoying if I just need a simple answer and someone starts rambling on about irrelevant info.
  15. wouldn't your TN carry permit become void if you established residence in GA for that period of time? Or no?
  16. now it's all so clear
  17. yep, and I've always been puzzled as to why the Air Marshalls carry .357 Sig. One would think that over-penetration on an airplane would be disastrous.
  18. over-penetration can happen with any caliber. A coworker of mine recently left his Glock 30 sitting on his table while he was on the computer. His g/f decided to pick it up and pull the trigger. The round went through (at an upward angle) the bedroom door, through the ceiling, through the floor above, and they found it laying on his roommates bed. It was a JHP .45 that didn't expand through any of that.
  19. I like to be able to practice A LOT with my edc gun so ammo price alone would do it for me. Not to mention ammo scarcity. I have never seen 38 super at stores in Knoxville. Maybe that's because I'm not looking for it specifically, but it sure isn't common.
  20. No I won't get the banhammer because I said it in quotations. It's kind of like saying "with all due respect" before you insult someone. Totally acceptable.
  21. I would be one of those people! Vontar I can't believe you said "ass" on TGO. Expect the banhammer
  22. It's a step in the right direction. One of my professors is ex military. If they won't let me carry I'd feel a hell of a lot better if he was armed rather than no one at all.
  23. yeah. It's a common trend. However, I did warn YOU before you bought it.
  24. I'm just curious why you want a thumb safety now after going all these years without having one on your Glocks. Do you suddenly not trust yourself?
  25. my dad just switched to that. It saved him $60 a month.
