  1. Sometimes in the winter months I'll slip my Ruger LCR into a coat pocket in addition to whatever Glock I'm carrying. When I went to Detroit over Christmas I carried 2 guns and 35 rounds of ammo. At one point my GF's Grandma offered to take my coat for me. After picking it up to hang over a chair she said "Good lord your coat is heavy". I couldn't help but laugh.
  2. I believe those signs are old and outdated and do not apply to persons with HCP's. Paging OhShoot!!!
  3. I would not take a gun to CA. OC and a knife(if legal).
  4. Probably the John Litton General Slaven Loop which is one I have not done yet. How was it? http://www.bigsouthforkpark.com/hiking.htm You should do the Angel Falls Overlook next. It's my favorite trail I've done so far in BSF. Did you go by yourself?
  5. which trail did you do?
  6. I have that map. It's great. I bought it at the Ranger station in Pickett State Park I think.
  7. I was curious about this as well. I have so many Glock mags already that it wouldn't make much sense for me to get the Beretta version.
  8. Hey I never said you were antisocial, just that you should introduce yourself to the "gang" sometime! I won't be able to join you today unfortunately. Be safe and I'll try to catch you next time!
  9. be careful what you post on Facebook. "Stolen handguns" A PHATSPEED7x story - TheFiringLine Forums
  10. D&T is building quite the reputation for having superior service and great prices. I would love to pay them a visit!
  11. I will say that one of the great things about Glocks is that I can use the same holster for my G26 that I do with my 23 and 19. I'm sure the same can be done with the M&P's and XD's on a variety of holsters.
  12. doesn't matter. you won't keep it long enough to lose any money
  13. these are the exact reasons why I deleted my account. I have not missed Facebook at all. The only social networking site I will join is Linked In.
  14. grip safety really doesn't make a gun any safer if you think about it. When you go to holster a gun with a grip safety then obviously your had is going to depress the grip safety. I've owned both Glocks and XD's and I don't think one is any safer than the other. The only reason people shoot themselves in the butt with Glocks is because they are negligent.
  15. Clean carp=best oxymoron ever
  16. You will love the G19. Wonderful guns.

  19. I see students walking around campus with pocket knives clipped on their pockets quite often. I'm 3 weeks away from graduation so I'm not going to risk getting expelled. My knife stays at home.
  20. I don't hold grudges. Apology accepted.
  21. you carry a very large maglite on your person?
  22. unfortunately not, at least not in TN. You have to get certified and even still it's illegal to have on campus. The law is somewhat gray in that area though. It all rides on the "intent to go armed" IIRC.
  23. it's true. The only legal whistles are ones that go to the tune of rocky top
