    33's for my Jeep

I love Wranglers, have my whole life. I stopped by the dealership last week and drooled for a while. They have a 2010 Sport model that has been tricked out but it's brand new. It's been on the lot over a year. They have it marked way down but IMO they are still too much money for what you get. Some of the new ones were $30,000!! Wranglers were originally designed to be inexpensive vehicles that were great off-road. Somehow that idea was lost along the way. Sadly, the used models they had were not much less than the new ones. Wranglers are one of the few vehicles where you get a better deal if you buy new IMO.
  3. Sorry to hear this Glenn
  4. I completely agree. Orlando was not on my list of places I wanted to live.
  5. Memphis is one of the last places I would want to live but if you stay out of the bad areas you should be fine. If it turns out you hate it there you can always move.
  6. I recently had a some batteries leak inside my flashlight and it ruined the light. I tried vinegar but it didn't help. Duracell sent me a check in the mail for the cost of the light and sent me new batteries.
  7. wonderful story. thank you for sharing!
  8. It's a amazing that you all are so quick to scream bad parenting. I had plenty of friends growing up who had great parents but continued to make bad decisions no matter what the parents did. None of us know the real story here. I'm sure all of you that were quick to call him a bad father are just perfect parents. Hate to say it but some girls like sex just as much as guys. He did overreact but I couldn't imagine walking in on that scene and not being furious. What's funny about TGO is that the second the media publishes a story that speaks poorly about guns (for example ) we all claim the ignorant media got it all wrong but then a story like this comes out and you all automatically assume everything is factual. I have come to realize that most news is filled with lies and mistakes. Jmho
  9. Just pathetic. I was surprised recently when visiting a gun store here in Orlando. The employees said that around %60 of his range business comes from people from the UK. A few young guys were in there shopping. I think there were from Scotland. They told me the only thing they have for home defense is baseball bats and golf clubs.
  10. Don't talk to me about bad prices until you come see the prices here in Orlando I'm shocked honestly. I've been to 2 stores already and both had horrible prices. New Ruger 10/22 selling for $369. New Glock 19's for $580. Ruger LCR for almost $500. Back in Knoxville you can find LCR's for $380 at the gun shows and I saw a 10/22 for $200 before I left town.
  11. congrats! It sure does feel good to be done!
  12. I interpreted it differently.
  13. I think you might have misunderstood him. He said he was in a state park. Perfectly legal to carry there.
  14. way to go Fallguy! Even though I'm moving I still appreciate your efforts. I'm trying to figure out why Florida does not reciprocate with MN. I have a lot of family in Mn I would like to go visit. Too bad I can't keep my TN permit when I move to Florida.
  15. They are available to pre order here. Kel-Tec KSG 12ga Shotgun
  16. I just flew with a gun about a month ago and I triple-checked my Glock before entering the airport. No way I was going to be the 1 idiot who would screw up. I'm flying again on Wednesday and I'll probably check it 5 times just to be safe
  17. I'm a logistics grad and I could not even apply there because of my step-dad(union regulations). The drivers definitely do a lot better than the managers though. I'm pretty sure the mgmt jobs do not include a pension because they are not a part of the union. Not sure where I'm going with this but just thought I would add that snippet.
  18. very true and I should have been more specific. My step-dad drives a semi. That's why I said "if you can get on". It's basically the dream job of most truckers from what I understand. I personally think it would be worth it to start out on the dock if that's what it takes to become a full time driver. I bet most guys there would agree. Those first few years of hell would eventually pay off, especially when you consider they offer a good pension also.
  19. Unless you are going to be hauling a big 1911 I think the 5 stitch will be plenty. I have the 5 stitch at it works wonderfully. I carry a G19 with no problems.
  20. If you can get on with UPS they are probably the best trucking job one could ask for. My step-dad drives for them and he makes $100,000 a year and he's home every night. He also gets 8 weeks paid vacation. Keep in mind he's been there 25 years. I've also heard Con-Way Freight is a very good company to drive for. Similar to UPS.
  21. so the cops are walking around looking in the windows of vehicles to see if guns are in plain sight; all in the hopes of finding "unregistered" guns, all this despite the fact that we are not required to register guns in TN. Am I missing something?
  22. You are absolutely right. Their continued success is built around their supply chain and it's a truly impressive one at that.
  23. I'm not one of the Wal-Mart haters (though I do try to avoid the place) but I think that one of the reasons so many people hate it isn't because of the "Chinese crap" but rather the buying power that Wal-Mart has. They pretty much rape their suppliers because they have so much power. Their sales every year are higher than some countries entire GDP At least that is the common argument I hear against them.
  24. So I suppose you think it's a bad thing that many Nissan's and now VW's are made in TN? Outsourcing works both ways. I don't know what you drive but the fact that it's assembled in Canada isn't doing us much good. You're car might be an American company but I bet the majority of the parts are made overseas. The people who buy Nissan's and VW's are doing just as much to help out our economy as buying an "American made" car. What about all the jobs here in the U.S. provided by these "foreign" car companies. I like the idea of "buying American" but when you really dig deeper even the majority of American owned companies are outsourcing.
