Maybe the evidence will support this theory and you will be correct. But based on witness testimony and Zimmerman's account he started to follow Martin but lost sight of him. When he was walking back to his SUV Martin approached him from behind. Martin was 17, healthy and athletic. Zimmerman is 28 pudgy and probably slow. Do you really think Zimmerman had chance of keeping up with the kid. If he really wanted to get away from Zimmerman I'm sure he could have. Dave, if evidence shows that Zimmerman did in fact "chase" Martin and attack him first then I will be the first to admit that I was wrong and you were right. But until then, I'm going to give Zimmerman the benefit of doubt and say he's innocent until proven guilty.

Dave, you continue to say that Zimmerman instigated the fight and I don't understand it. If someone approaches me and says "what are you doing here" I'm not going to immediately punch them in the face and then start slamming their head into the sidewalk. If I did, I would expect to be charged with assault.

I'll be right in the middle of it if they do. That thought has already crossed my mind.

Same appeal as the Kel Tec Sub 2000 I suppose. I guess I just don't ever see myself stuffing a 10/22 in a backpack and going "into the wild" or anywhere for that matter. If SHTF I'm taking my 870. This would be really cool if they did it with a more potent caliber. A light weight take down Mini 14 would be neat.

I honestly don't see how this case could ever go to trial. There is no chance of finding a jury who doesn't already have knowledge about the case.

damn Dave. I never liked your posts but up until now you've always been semi rational. Where the heck did you come up with the parts in bold? Have you not bothered to read any of the news articles that actually have witness testimony? You are convinced Zimmerman is a murderer despite the facts that have been released. I said it earlier on, maybe Zimmerman is guilty, maybe he isn't. Can't we at least lets the courts decide before foregoing all the facts and deciding he's a murderer. Man, I hope you never get accused of a crime.......(again).

You're making assumptions that Zimmerman punched the kid first. There is no evidence to support that. At this point I'm sure the prosecutors are praying for evidence that will allow them to arrest Zimmerman just so the media and race baiters are satisfied. The fact that there hasn't been an arrest yet leads me to believe that don't have squat to charge him with.

I don't think this case is ever going to trail. If they were going to arrest Zimmerman I feel they would have done it by now.

Things to remember. Innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Zimmerman was returning to his vehicle when he was confronted by Martin. He was heard screaming for help and there are even reports that Martin attempted to get his gun.

Dave, once again, none of us were there. How can you say Martin was innocent? Of the evidence that has been released it all points to Zimmerman being attacked first. You can't simply attack someone just because they are following you? If someone was following you I'm pretty sure you wouldn't run up and start attacking them.

When was your Sig made? If it is one of the more recent ones then you should have the correct magazine follower and recoil spring. If you have one of the first ones made than you may need to get a new magazine follower. My p238 had the same problem that was corrected by getting an upgraded magazine.

What bothers me are the people that are so quick to throw Zimmerman under the bus. Could Zimmerman be guilty as hell? It's possible. Could Zimmerman be innocent?There is evidence to support it. Whatever the case I wish people would let it ride its course and let the courts decide. I personally don't think it's ever going to trial.

We should take a poll here and see where everyone stands. Here are the facts. 1) None of us were there. No one knows what really happened except for Zimmerman and those who witnessed. 2) There is evidence to support self defense including witness testimony. 3) There is no evidence that Zimmerman sought out to kill someone. Innocent until proven guilty.
