  1. I'd love to visit Maine. Please post some pictures when you get back.
  2. Shots fired today. It will be interesting to see what happens the next few weeks. http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2012-04-10/news/os-sanford-police-car-shooting-20120410_1_cruiser-shots-clickorlando-com
  3. I think the concern is that you could leave the safety off but it could potentially engage while being in a pocket, then when you might actually need it you pull the trigger and nothing happens. Could this be solved with training? Absolutely. I just don't think a thumb safety was necessary.
  4. It seems like this is just another example where the manufacturer is trying to produce a pocket size gun but they just can't quite get there. Add this to the list with the Beretta Nano, PPS, Kimber Solo, LC9 etc etc. I don't understand why they put a thumb safety on the gun, the M&P's don't come standard with a thumb safety, why did they feel they need to put one on this model? Regardless of what I think, the M&P's are great guns, I'm sure this will be a big seller for them.
  5. I can't tell who is doing the shooting in the video. That happened way before my time.
  6. Did you guys read the story about the 2 black teenagers that pulled the white guy from his SUV in Sanford and bludgeoned him with a hammer. He has been in intensive care since it happened. Funny how the media is being really quiet about it. I can't remember if we discussed it here or not. I bounce back and forth between TGO and the Florida forum. http://www.wftv.com/...-sanford/nMHW6/
  7. Too often.
  8. I agree. It's not very practical. No one is going to go hiking with this over their shoulder. Why would they? If you need to defend yourself you would have to stop, get it out of the bag, put it together then fire. That being said, it is a pretty cool design and I do love the 10/22.
  9. post some pictures!!
  10. I really like the looks of this new color. I'm surprised Glock is coming out with a new color offering right now considering they are behind on 300,000 orders. My Gen 2 19 was sent in for a makeover on Feb 26th and I still don't have it back. I called Tuesday and they said it could be several more weeks.
  11. I've had good luck with Fisher tire in Farragut. They have other locations in the Knoxville area though.
  12. I noticed a certain person in this thread has suddenly got quiet.......strange timing.
  13. 3 hours 39 minutes.
  14. In Florida we would have followed him then shot him....

    Ticks

last year I found a tick on my........ .... ya, not cool. Not cool at all.
  16. The Orlando Sentinel is still running 3-4 stories a day about this case. http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2012-04-02/news/os-trayvon-martin-top-10-list-beth-kassab-040312-20120402_1_murder-charge-hoodie-fake-photos http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2012-04-02/news/os-trayvon-martin-qa3-20120402_1_civil-rights-gated-community-robert-zimmerman
  17. That's the first 1911 that made me want to claw my eyes out. Thank god it's fake.
  18. ...... Mike is right, not worth it.
  19. This made me laugh out loud. For the record, I'm up to 93
  20. I love my LCR. When I'm walking the dog at night I slip it into a pocket and hardly know it's there. I really like that green model.
  21. I openly carry my Glock 23 when hiking. I always go to Big South Fork so I rarely see anyone on the trail. The few times I have encountered people they were friendly and didn't mention my gun.
  22. But Mike, didn't you listen to Dave? He instigated the fight therefore he deserved to get his head bashed into the concrete. Besides, very few people die from having their head slammed into concrete. The fact that he was begging for help should also be ignored. Duh!
  23. I go hiking pretty often(or I did when I lived in TN) but I can't think of a practical reason to carry a 10/22 in my pack. I guess if we had a red dawn type event it would be pretty handy. I agree it would be convenient to keep in a vehicle, especially my tiny car.

    Glock 19 or M&P 9c

Both are great guns. You won't go wrong with either.
  25. CZ has some nice grips on their website. Here is my CZ 40P with coco bolo grips. Your 82 looks awesome BTW!!
