  1.   Is that last picture real? I have a hard time believing a picture like that would get leaked out to the public. Pretty tasteless for the website to post that picture IMO.
  2.   Already did that. Still not good enough.   We've been to the DMV here in Orlando 4  times and each time we visit they tell us we need to do something different.
  3. My GF's Carolla was totaled during the hail storm that hit Knoxville in Spring of 2011.State Farm totaled the car out but we were able to buy it back for very little.   Cosmetically the car is a disaster, it looks like a golf ball. Mechanically it's a great car and we will continue to drive it for years. The only downside is that it's now a "salvage" title which means she can't get full coverage insurance and most car dealerships don't want to take it in on trade.   We've been living in Florida for 19 months now and we are still unable to convince Florida to give us a title for the car. We have been driving around on TN tags this entire time because they keep jerking us around.
  4. So it sounds like they raised their prices on TulAmmo. That's unfortunate.
  5.   I shared the same thought. Given recent events I would never take a person who I know to be mentally unstable to the gun range.   I'm sure there is more to the story though. I don't know much about PTSD but I don't think all patients are violent and unstable.
  6. This is simply terrible.    I don't buy into the conspiracy theories. This is just further proof that a lot of people have mental health issues.
  7. I don't need 9mm that badly. That same box of ammo was $12.99 just a few months ago.   Thanks for the heads up though, I'm sure someone will take advantage of this.
  8. Huh, interesting thing you're wearing. Reminds me of this.
  9. This is fantastic. I wish I could "like" your post more than once.
  10. Turbotax.    I see no reason to pay someone else to do what takes me an hour.
  11.   I have a hard time believing this. It tastes the same to me. I just had a tall boy yesterday actually.
  12. Great content but I really wish he would lose the script and speak from the heart. Some of the best testimony I've seen so far has been from the citizen who calmly and logically laid out facts.   Wayne could use some help on public speaking but he made some great points. I'm proud to be an NRA member and I will continue to support them while they support me.
  13.   Well, I figure once I have a red dot on my AR I might be accurate out to 150 yards. After that my eye sight just isn't good enough unless I also buy a magnifier.    Ideally the bolt gun would be used for shots in the 200-300 yard range.
  14. It will primarily be for target practice but it would also be a backup SHTF gun.   The idea is that my AR will have a decent red dot for close range and I'd put some nice glass on the bolt gun for longer distance.
  15. So I was thinking it would be fun to pick up my first bolt action rifle. I'd like to have something that would have a greater range and accuracy than my AR without having to invest in a new caliber. I was thinking about the Mossberg MVP because I already have plenty of AR magazines.   Will the MVP be more accurate than my AR and have a greater range? Am I wasting time by sticking with .223 over a different caliber?   Are there any other bolt action rifles in .223 I should look into? The MVP is the only one I am aware of.   Discuss.
  16. Nice observation Mac. I've wondered what his avatar was about several times.
  17.   How could we know this and why does it matter? Most banks just want money, they don't care where it's coming from.
  18.   WOW. If this is true it greatly puts things in perspective.
  19.   Thanks for clarifying. We shall see what happens with this I suppose.
  20. Take her to the store and let HER pick out the gun she likes. My GF hated shooting my Ruger LCR so I took her to my local store and she ended up picking the Sig p238. She loves it.
  21. If I'm reading this correctly it appears almost as many Republicans are supporting Feinstein's bill as Democrats.   http://www.opencongress.org/bill/113-s150/money   11 R's 9 D's   If the republicans help pass this they are dead to me. I'm curious to know what the die hard conservatives on here think? You guys blasted those who supported 3rd parted candidates but they are looking more and more appealing as time goes on.
  22.   It should be fairly obvious to anyone paying attention. No need to throw little jabs out at me just because I mentioned it was one of the moderators.
  23.     Same here, I imagine this will cause them to lose more than they gain.
  24. Yikes. This won't end well.
