It's just my GF and I. We will probably be married in the next 2 years but neither wants kids. I'd rather pay the income tax now as I suspect rates will only go up by the time I retire.     Patton, do you mean initial investment? I'm also trying to save for a down payment on a house so I'd rather not invest too much initially. Perhaps 2-4K.

I'm very close to paying off my student loads(8 years early   :cheers: ) and  based on the little research I've done I think the best way for me to start investing would be to open a Roth IRA. I already contribute %5 into my 401k through work but it's not growing as quickly as I would like and I feel like it would be smarter to open an IRA instead of upping the contribution to my 401k.   My question is, can someone recommend a company to open it with? I asked the woman at Suntrust who helped me open my account when I moved to Florida about IRA's and she had never heard of a Roth IRA so they lost any chance of getting my money.   Thanks!

I realize a lot has changed since the 50's but the North Koreans were no pushovers. They killed over 36,000 of our troops.   I know our weapons are far more superior but let's not underestimate their potential. 

I've heard FPS makes a lot of money from his channel. Based on the videos he's posted it really doesn't surprise me that they raided his house.

I hate Facebook but with family spread across the country it's the best way for me to stay in touch.

I'm not going to waste time looking for a while. I'm not a morning person and I have to be at work at 0800 so there is no chance I'm ever going to be the lucky SOB that scores at 0700 when they stock the shelves.   Hopefully things will calm down soon.

Not a chance NC is better than TN. Not a chance.   Florida has a 3 day wait period for gun purchases but you can keep loaded guns in your vehicle without a permit so that's a win. South Carolina doesn't allow open carry so I can't see how it ranked that high.

If people refuse prepare for a hurricane when they get a weeks notice what makes you think there is any hope of preparing for gun control?   I've lost all hope in people. I've tried to bring up hurricane preparedness to my coworkers here in Florida and they just give me a blank stare. My brother lives on the coast and he has zero preparations.    You can't fix stupid.

I stopped at my local store yesterday to check out prices. They were asking anywhere from $650-800 for the flat dark earth Glocks.   They also had a Mossberg MVP bolt action for $1,000.  :down:

  I didn't say you created it, I said you didn't help. You may not have been the problem but you definitely were not the solution. We could go back and forth all night but neither one of us is going to agree with the other. Hopefully prices will return to "normal" soon and it won't matter.
