I'm glad they did this but I still refuse to do business with them. I never found their prices to be that competitive anyways.

Graphic about ammo prices of the last 7 years.

Gas as not been $1 since the early 90's if not before. The cheapest I can actually remember is 1.25 ish but I'm only 25. -

For me, it's just hard to accept that a box of 9mm was $5.99 at Wal-Mart in 2004-2005. That same box of ammo today, assuming you can find any, is around $12. If ammo continues to increase at this same rate I will be finding a new hobby. Hell, I can't even find 9mm at a reasonable price now so I'm not even going to the range because I don't want to deplete my stash. -
Congrats. The is the only polymer .45 I'd own and it's on my short list. Of course, I am a Glock fan boy.

Great story so far. Keep it up.

That is a decent price but I'd probably save a few bucks and just buy 2 boxes of the Federal 525 packs and save a few bucks. Those are still priced at $21.97 I believe.

Alaska; The Last Frontier on Discovery Channel

That was confirmed in post #6 above. Definitely makes for an interesting story. -
I've always been told to avoid the Winchester .22LR. How well does it perform?

Alaska; The Last Frontier on Discovery Channel

I'm hoping to find a website that allows me to watch this. My GF and I would both love to visit Alaska. It's definitely on my bucket list. I was able to visit MT and WY last year and that was fantastic but I know Alaska is an entirely different scene. -
I don't mind any yanks coming down to God's country but I really wish they would leave their liberal ideals back home. Some of the New Yorkers I meet here in Florida are just horrible.

Inventory may be improving but some of those prices are still nasty. $20 for a box of 9mm? I'll keep waiting. That same box of 9mm was $10-12 last fall.

Troubling news for the Trayvon Martin camp
Erik88 replied to DaveS's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This entire thing really makes no sense and I have a hard time understanding those who believe GZ is guilty. I'm sure there is evidence we don't know about but it's honestly a lot less complicated than we are making it. Let's go over the facts. 1) GZ is not really Caucasian so the racism argument is pretty weak at best. 2) GZ was the neighborhood watch captain, an organization that most police departments encourage. This neighborhood has had problems in the past and we later learned that GZ was encouraged by a police officer to get a CCW permit after he and his wife were cornered by an aggressive dog. 3) From all indications, GZ started to follow TM but then lost sight of him and was returning to his vehicle. This is not a crime. At some point an altercation occurred but we are not 100% clear of the details. Keep in mind, just because someone is following you does not mean you can attack them. 4) GZ had moderate wounds to his face and head indicative of being attacked. TM had no such wounds other than the fatal gunshot. 5) A witness saw what is believed to be TM on top of GM. 6) Audio recordings captured someone yelling for help. When TM's father first heard the video he swore it was not the voice of his son, then changed his story claiming it was. 7) TM was not the saint that the media portrayed him as, GM was no saint either according to some accounts. 8) The local authorities didn't want to charge GZ. It was only after the publicity from the media that he was charged. It really boils down to those few seconds leading up to the shooting. If the jury believes that Trayvon was within his rights to attack Zimmerman for following him then he will be found guilty. If evidence shows that GZ was returning to his vehicle to leave when TM confronted and attacked him then Zimmerman will walk. Again, perhaps there will be new evidence that changes everything. And finally the most important piece, the prosecution is going to have to prove that Zimmerman MURDERED Trayvon which I just don't see happening. It will be an interesting trail. -
Troubling news for the Trayvon Martin camp

The judge voted today to not allow info from Martin's past to be part of the trail including the trouble he got in and the texts/pictures with guns and drugs. Let's see if the prosecution is held to the same standard or if they attempt to paint a bad picture of Zimmerman. -
Do you have any respectable pawn shops near you? I'd be on the lookout for a used but reliable Winchester Defender 1300. They can sometimes be found in pawn shops for $250-300. I have both the Winchester and the Remington 870 and it's my opinion that the Winchester is far superior. 7+1 and the action is like butter. Check gun broker also. Here is one that needs some TLC but appears serviceable for only $175. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=343890779

Is the brown on the 561? I like it. I honestly didn't care for the 350 that much. Great knife but unnecessarily heavy and big. Not my idea of a "pocket" knife but well suited for bigger tasks. Would make a good folder to take camping.

I was thinking the same thing. Colorado is a great example. I also believe the reason Florida helped elect Obummer twice is due to the liberal transplants from NY, MA etc. Plus the Hispanics.

Troubling news for the Trayvon Martin camp
Erik88 replied to DaveS's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The only reason any of us ever heard about this case is because an "almost" white guy killed a black youth. What kills me the most is that none of us were there that night. We only know what the news has reported yet many of you are convinced Zimmerman was out for blood. I am sure there is evidence from both sides that we haven't seen but my guy is that Zimmerman is acquitted. -

Can't wait to see DaveTn's opinion on this -
I have a hard time believing some of these numbers because they claim California had the highest sales tax which isn't accurate. I have no doubt people are leaving but they may be exaggerating
-
I've heard other people say the same thing. I don't understand the logic here. Why do they want to run a credit check if you're paying cash?

I spend a lot of time on Glocktalks because I'm a huge fan but it's becoming more and more obvious their quality control is slipping. Originally they were only having issues with some 9mm's and a few 40's. Now the problem seems to cover nearly every caliber in both gen 3 and 4. I have a Gen 4 23 that was made in 2011. I had some problems when I first got it but after a few hundred rounds the issues stopped. I'm also fairly certain the problems only existed with one magazine that was marked "new" at a local gun store. It's 100% reliable now. I also had a Gen 4 26 that was 100% reliable. I have since traded this for a different Glock though. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Glock but I wouldn't be shocked if it had some issues. The good news is that Glocks warranty is the best in the industry.

British Soldier Hacked to Death by Islamo-Fascists .... in LONDON
Erik88 replied to TMF's topic in General Chat
They ran him over as he was crossing the street. At least that's how I understood it. Based on the damage I saw to the vehicle it's likely that the victim was in really bad shape before they cut him. They are saying it took 20 minutes to respond because they had to find cops that were armed. -
I only buy natural peanut butter without the hydrogenated vegetable oils which are very bad for you.
