  Glock was one of the first polymer, striker-fired handguns. Every company that is making something similar is doing so purely based on Glock's success. So while it may not be a copy, you can be assured it's Smith's attempt to capture a portion(albeit small) of the market Glock cornered over 25 years ago.   All manufacturers have their issues, I remember when Hickok45 was testing his new M&P that came with a cracked slide right from the factory. How's that for quality control?   I'll stick with the proven original.The M&P's are fine weapons but they offer nothing new. Unless of course you're into crappy triggers.  :cool:

I have flown with a handgun a few times. It's been pretty painless.

This is just horrible. When my brother brings his kids over(once a year  :shake: ) I always put my guns away. They have spent a lot of time around firearms but I'm still not taking any chances. It's just not worth it.

I hope this actually happens and Magpul is able to move there. I could see it being called New Colorado.

I'm seeing reports on Glocktalk of people having problems with brand new Gen 3's also. It appears QC may be slipping since Glock is behind on nearly a million guns.   Also, Glock changed the packaging inside the case and not for the better. Many people are reporting buying brand new guns only to open the box and find their guns all scratched up because of this.

Before switching parts out I would actually break the pistol in. 50 rounds doesn't cut it.

You can only negotiate so much when they are charging twice as much as they should be.

We are in the process of buying a house and plan on putting the floors down ourselves.    The next few weeks should be interesting. 

Neil, one thing to consider next time you buy/sell on Craigslist. Always talk to the person on the phone. That's one of my rules. I want to know what they sound like. If my spidey senses pick something up I don't like then I don't buy.   I would never meet just based off a text message.   Just my .02

I have mixed feelings on the subject. I have zero problem with gay kids being in scouts and I highly doubt there will be a line of gay kids waiting to sign up for boy scouts. This won't create any new opportunity that doesn't already exist.   If some pedophile wants to assault kids he's going to find a way and no policy is going to change that. That's the unfortunate truth. I'm sure there are already gay people that participate in Scouts and just like Mike said, these are average people who typically just want to live their lives and be left the hell alone. I doubt this will greatly change anything for them.   What I don't like is seeing any group that makes a decision because of political correctness and pressure from the media. I really don't think this was about doing the right thing, it was about pleasing a small minority.   Just my .02
