  1. I'm sure Midway is charging more for shipping than it actually costs as a way of making additional profit this way they can't be accused of gouging us on ammo costs.   I'm not falling for it. The Wal-Mart near my house got 10 bricks of .22LR in just the other day.
  2. I scored a 100 round box of 9mm last night(WWB). This is the first time I've seen FMJ 9mm at Wal-Mart in 8 months.   The cost was $25.   The Wal-Mart near me receives an BOL/inventory list for their shipments at 1300 every day but the truck is unloaed at 1830-1900. They advised me to call at 1300 and they would be able to tell me what they are receiving that night.   It worked for me yesterday.
  3. Renters shouldn't be allowed to vote?
  4. I will not vote for Christie. I don't see much hope for the Republican party at this point.
  5. I agree with Robert.   We get the government we deserve.
  6. Unless I need the funds I will never sell ammo. It's only going up in price and will last longer than I will so I see no reason to ever sell ammunition. YMMV.
  7. I spoke to a Wal-Mart employee yesterday who told me he received 10 325 round bricks of .22LR and it only lasted 10 minutes on the shelf.   I was able to score some .380   Off topic, TulAmmo has a new line called Brass Max. Wal-Mart had it in .380 for $14.97 per 50.
  8.     I'm not sure you can compare an isolated lightning strike to an EMP. I've seen lightning strike a transformer while cruising down I-4 and the damn thing sparked like crazy and the street lights went out.   If a storm rolls through and knocks out power to a city supplies are brought in from elsewhere to repair everything. The idea behind the EMP is that everything is fried(including vehicles) so there won't be help any time soon.   Again, I'm not an expert but you seem pretty positive it's a non-issue so I was just curious why. I hope you are right.
  9.   What makes you say this? What do you know about the grid that makes you feel this way? I'm not saying you're wrong, just curious what you know that makes you feel this way.(seriously, educate me because I'm curious).   Everything I've read indicates our power grid is decades overdue for repair and upgrades and much more fragile than people realize. Hell, look at how much work our bridges and highways need.   While One Second After is definitely a work of fiction the results of an EMP or massive solar flare would most likely be devastating.
  10.   This. Exactly this. I worked in a restaurant for 6 years. The public can suck at times but the money is great and the scenery is wonderful.   I'm currently a transportation analyst and the company I work for is great. Awesome pay, fantastic benefits, and 4 weeks of paid vacation. That being said, I get tired of sitting in a cube all day and I hope to do something different some day.   My dream job would be TWRA officer patrolling one of the state parks.
  11. Glock is already behind on over one million guns. I'm not sure removing finger grooves will make a difference.
  12. That's a good price for a new Glock. They are $549-650 here in Florida.
  13. Good for you. We have a Business Intelligence team at the company I work for and they play a critical role for us.   Let me know if you want to relocate to Florida, that team has an opening.
  14. You're way behind.   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/68471-z-man-speeds-through-texas-armed-but-not-dangerous/#entry1008766
  15.   They are lightweight, comfortable and durable. Because they are part polyester they dry really quickly so I've gone swimming in the shorts a few times. They have really big deep pockets and the handle is actually pretty good for hanging tools. I used it as a hammer hook while working on my new house.
  16. 5.11 tac-lite pro pants and shorts are awesome.
  17. Florida fans are horrible but I've witnessed TN fans be complete D-bags too. So much that everyone sitting around us told them to shut up. We all clapped when they were kicked out.
  18. That's ridiculous. If prices and supply don't get better I'll be finding a new hobby.
  19. This is legal in TN?
  20. No secrets here but we're not married yet. If I thought my gf would care I wouldn't marry her.
  21. My local Wal-Mart hasn't received an ammo shipment in over a week. I still haven't found 9mm since Sandy Hook.   They do have several AR-s that have been there for at least a month now.
  22. I read that this was classified as "workplace violence" instead of terrorism so the female guard who shot and wounded him was denied benefits for her injuries.   Bullsh*t.
  23. Can younger people get shingles as well is is it primarily with older folks. I had chicken pox as a kid so I should probably get the shot. They don't sound very fun.
