  1. I could be wrong but I thought the Scorpion division drove unmarked Chargers? My point was that you've been critical of every change they have made so far so I'm curious what you think they SHOULD do. They murdered him. If they didn't make any changes they would be getting criticized for that too. Unmarked police cars should not be used for traffic violations. I shouldn't have to wonder if the person behind me is a legitimate officer or some idiot impersonating an officer.
  2. I think murder is a better description. Why do we need unmarked cars for traffic stops? What sort of change would you approve of after the Tyre Nichols murder?
  3. What they said above me is right. I will admit tipping culture is getting completely out of hand. Some businesses are too cheap to pay their employees enough and they are trying to pass that cost to the customer. I don't tip a lot at places where I have to walk up to a counter to order food/drink. Those aren't servers, they are cashiers. If my tab at a place like that is $50, I'll throw them a few bucks if they were friendly but I'm not tipping 20%. Also, restaurant prices are so expensive I'm eating at home a lot more.
  4. The assumption was that if 10% is good enough for the church it was good enough for us.
  5. I waited tables for 6 years. It's well known in the hospitality industry that the Sunday church crowd is one of the most difficult and least generous group to serve. We all hated working Sunday morning.
  6. Tell me more about this. Are you using Microsoft flight simulator?
  7. I enjoy working on my vehicles. Until 5 years ago I had never changed my own oil. Last weekend I replaced my lower control arms on my truck. It took me 8 hours but I enjoyed the challenge. Still not sure I'm brave enough to attempt the timing belt. I bought an electric dirt bike last year that I've enjoyed riding and also working on it. My wife and I enjoy traveling (her more than me). Last year we went to Spain. This year we're going to Finland and Estonia. I also enjoy working on my house. I'm trying to work up the motivation to lay tile.
  8. Carlson and Maddow both used this defense and won. They are more alike than they are different. A federal judge on Thursday dismissed a lawsuit against Fox News after lawyers for the network argued that no "reasonable viewer" would take the network's primetime star Tucker Carlson seriously. https://www.businessinsider.com/fox-news-karen-mcdougal-case-tucker-carlson-2020-9?op=1
  9. I bought a new wheel and tire for my bike that requires specific torque specifications for the spokes. What tool would you all recommend? I have several torque wrenches for my vehicles already but it looks like they make ones specific to bikes.
  10. This is all true however the way they spoke to and treated her was unacceptable. Being decent to an elderly woman shouldn't be difficult.
  11. That was incredibly sad. I understand the police deal with people who are acting and making things seem worse but this woman was clearly struggling. They didn't show an ounce of compassion. Jail is the last place that woman needed to be. I'm not sure what happened to protect and serve but we seem to stray further from that every day.
  12. I honestly thought it was referring to those. They are awful.
  13. I vote for my $225 Kahr CW9 because it's more reliable than my $1,500 Sig. Sometimes when it comes to guns, more money doesn't always equal better quality. It's unlikely I would ever buy another Sig firearm.
  14. I can't offer much help other than this..
  15. Not trying to disrespect those pilots but I doubt this. It looked like the helicopter was completely out of control. It basically fell from the sky.
  16. What did I miss? We shot down a weather balloon?
  17. Exactly. People are uncomfortable seeing something that happens everyday in the real world.
  18. What agenda is that? Why does it even matter? So far the show has been good. It has stayed away from politics and focused on building the characters and the plot. It showed a gay couple kissing and people got uncomfortable. That's the sorry.
  19. I knew a lot of people here were gonna hate episode 3. The reality is that people are gay. I didn't find any agenda. This show is leaps and bounds better than The Walking Dead.
  20. They are 20". He has it listed in the title and the first post.
  21. Sadly this can apply to a lot of things. I've seen some cases where innocent people are convicted because an "expert" testified to it based on junk science. Bite marks for example. We have a low bar in this country for what makes someone an expert.
  22. The HVAC grill I ordered finally came so I got that installed today. It looks better but not perfect. The floor joist is preventing it from being flush against the ceiling but I think I can can cut the grill to make it work.
