  1.   I'm quite happy with my S&W AR.
  2.   You crack me up with your constant gloating of the M&P guns. The M&P's are a cheaper copy of Austrian greatness and haven't done a damn thing to hurt Glock. Atlanta PD got rid of their M&Ps after a few short years for a reason. If what your are saying is true we would see thousands of LEO's dropping their Glocks for the M&P's and it's just not happening. The SEAL's just adopted the G19. I bet you my left testicle there isn't a single member of the military carrying an M&P. They simply are not on the same level of quality and dependability.   M&P's are good guns and I'll go so far as to say the ergonomics are better than most Glocks but they are not stealing that much market share from Glock.   I understand the desire to support domestic firearms companies but the quality isn't always there. Don't even get me started on the horrible SR series. It blows my mind that people can't see the obvious quality difference.
  3.   We got ours in 7 business days. They came in the mail today and I was quite pleased. Nice job TN DOS!
  4.   Is Clarksville an anomaly when it comes to fuel prices? I never recall seeing it get that high and I was in FL where prices were consistently .25 higher than TN.   According to YCcharts.com Diesel hasn't hit $4.00 since March of 2014. Even at it's peak the nation average was no where near $4.50 and TN is typically some of the cheapest fuel in the nation.
  5. A lot of domestic jobs have been lost in the oil business. I wonder if the pros outweigh the job loss?   We all have more expendable income each month as a result of the low prices. Using my Food City points I was able to get gas for $1.45 last week here in Lenoir City. Had I waited until Wednesday it would have been $1.30 with  the double discount.
  6. Sorry for making this two posts. I'm still having IT issues with this forum...   Anyways, I posted the quote from the article because I tend to agree. My opinion might change if I had the chance to shoot something with an optic. I'm certainly open minded but right now I just don't have a desire to own one.
  7. I use Tetra gun grease on my 1911. Garufa turned me on to it and it seems to work great. It comes out in a real small amount which makes it easy to put on and last a long time.   For all other guns I use Frog Lube.
  8.   That's cool but I'm sure it's not all held domestically.
  9. Let's not forget that Glocks are now being made in the US too. I realize it's not a American owned company but I'd be curious to know who the real shareholders are when it comes to S&W stock.
  10.   We had the same problem. Most of the gun purses are pretty ugly (according to my wife). Most women are going to put fashion over function.   She's been happy with the purse defender. We originally bought the small one but it didn't work with the purse my wife was carrying. We exchanged it for the full size purse defender and now it won't work with the new purse I got her for Christmas. So he's back to just carrying her p238 in a pocket holster inside the purse. It's not ideal but it's better than a sharp stick.
  11. I gave up and got my wife a purse defender from Crossbreed Holsters.
  12.   So then a tax stamp is required?   How is it that there is no buffer tube?   KKing, can you post a few pics with the stock extended? thanks!
  13. This place has a long history of being anti open carry. That's not just my opinion either. Do a search and you can dig up dozens of threads.
  14. Forgive my ignorance but what exactly are we looking at here? 9mm AR pistol? Whatever it is, I like it.
  15.       The debates haven't happened in a while but the people remain. Probably a few you wouldn't expect.
  16.   I think you mean "I carried a Glock 19 back when I was a SEAL..."
  17.   It may be cost but I'd sure as hell rather tote a Glock over a Sig. The Sig is a big, heavy firearm. I can't think of any benefit to the Sig honestly.
  18. I'm very sorry to hear that. Husky's don't do well off leash. The only time we let our husky go off leash is when we're hiking in Big South Fork. She stays pretty close.   I hope you find her.
  19. What I find amusing is that most members of TGO like to take a big crap on anyone who carries openly. But now that this is the only way to carry legally in VA it seems to be suddenly acceptable.   My oh my the irony.     And you know who you are...
  20.   Post a range report please. I've never been a huge Sig fan but I really like the p227. I love my G21 but I've been itching to get another full size .45   Do you plan on dropping $45 to get one of the 14 round mags they make for the Sig?
  21. Merry Christmas everyone. My brother posted this picture from Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti. I just want say thank you to all our soldiers who are making this possible today. I get to sit here and sip coffee this morning while they are thousands of miles away from their families. 22. I'm really intrigued by DDI. I had no idea they existed. If and when I buy an AK that is what I will get.
  23. I also want an AK but the price increase over the past few years has discouraged me from making a purchase. I should have bought one 3 years ago.
  24. Really not surprising. I'm glad the didn't charge out into the parking lot. Kind of surprising KPD had two undercover deputies there.
