  1.   Agreed. Marriage can be an awesome thing if you do it right.   Then again, I'm only 5 months in. Ask me again in 30 years! :)   Congrats!
  2. ......
  3.   Ironically, that's what everyone in this thread has done. Yourself included.   I understand what you guys are saying though and I agree he could have been innocent but fleeing from the scene is not the appropriate response. Again, you guys are putting blame on the officer for killing him when the man would still be alive had he just agreed to be handcuffed.   For a group of people that is usually the first to reference personal accountability I'm a surprised to see the comments here.
  4.     Innocent of what? He fled from police. Actions have consequence.   I'd like to see the video to see how things shook out but I'm not going to fault the officer based on what I've read so far.
  5. I heard that Sig was going to offer the p220 or p227 in 10mm which would be pretty cool. The p227 feels wonderful in the hand.   Personally, if I were shopping for a 10mm the Glock 20 gen 4 would be my top pick. I love my Gen 4 21 and as Willis mentioned, it's the same frame.
  6. This thread is a great example of why the far left lumps us all together as a bunch of racist, ignorant rednecks.   I have several Iraqi refugees that work for me at my plant. All of them are Christians that fled Iraq to get away from the violence there. Unfortunately, many of their family members are still stuck there unable to leave. Their parents were killed by a suicide bomber the day they tried to leave Iraq.  There are good people in Iraq that do not deserve to be swept away by a raging flood.
  7. Ruger LCR with Speer Gold Dots. I carry it every day.

    GSSF discount

    No colored frames unfortunately.
  9. Thanks for the heads up. I ordered one. It will look great on the truck.
  10. I've heard Springfield makes a really nice 1911 for the money but I don't have any experience with one. I can say that I'm quite happy with my Ruger 1911 night watch commander.

    Glock 43

$55 is enough to justify for me. Plus the added benefit of attending the matches which are a lot of fun. Not only that, but at the last GSSF match I attended I won a free 2 year membership extension and they have Glock armorers there that will work on your gun for free.   Also, they usually have slightly used OEM magazines for around $10. It's a no brainer for me.
  12. I would not go the Tacoma route before driving and sitting in one. I've been a big fan of the Taco's for years. I mean big fan. I still love the body style. I drove a new one about a year ago and really didn't like it. The driver seat was very uncomfortable and even in the crew cab verions the backseat doesn't have enough space for adults (IMO).  When you consider the spacing constraints with the fact that midsize trucks still carry a full size price tag I think it's smarter to buy a full size pickup.   I just recently bought a nearly mint 2002 Tundra that I'm quite happy with.   Based on your needs and limited garage space it really sounds to me that you need to stick with an SUV. Something larger than the Pathfinder.
  13. Well, I now feel stupid for paying so much for Frog Lube. However, I've had really good results with it.   I won't be buying any more though.
  14.   Off topic but I'm almost positive Michigan does not have a 10 round limit. They do require registration though.
  15. Indoor ranges are horrible. I will not return to one if I can avoid it.

    Glock 43

You can join GSSF for around $30 and become eligible after one year. Something to consider for the future. Plus, GSSF matches are a lot of fun.
  17. I haven't been to a Knoxville gun show in 3-4 years. I wouldn't mind going but the last few times they seemed to go downhill.
  18.   Yep..
  19. I just toasted my beer to him. Excellent
  20. Dude...I think you REALLY misunderstood Garufa. I'm almost positive he was talking about the poacher. Not you..
  21. Well said. Thanks for sharing.
  22.   Oh I know. I think I'll take the advice listed here and pay off the vehicles first. I mentioned this to my wife and naturally she claimed that she actually came up with this idea a while back but I didn't listen to her....Knowing how bad I am at listening she's probably telling the truth..
  23.   This is good advice that a lot of people don't think of. I did this on my last house in Florida. Had we kept the house a full 30 years it would have shaved 7 years off the life of the loan and saved us over $15,000 in interest. I actually called CHASE last week to do that with my current mortgage but they don't offer biweekly payments.   Good post though.
