  1. GT Distributors is having 20% off their entire website and free shipping over $50. This puts their Glock magazines at $17.56..... https://www.gtdist.com/
  2. I've never heard of this website until recently but they have some really good deals. How about SIG MPX Gen 1 magazines for 50% off... $24.95 http://gunmagwarehouse.com/sig-sauer-mpx-9mm-30-round-magazine-1761.html?SID=5af77dd13ce93abaf49a7e8af0e6797d
  3. I have never seen Glock magazines priced that low. There are some outstanding deals here.
  4. You and I think alike. You can always count on Primary Arms to deliver the awesome deals.
  5. How about Troy Battlemags for $6.99. I've never used them but I hear they are on point with Magpul. I've talked to several guys that swear by them. http://www.primaryarms.com/troy-battlemag-30rd-single-black-smag-sin-00bt-00
  6. I didn't even know we had a Rural King in Knoxville. I had to Google it. Something tells me I won't be driving up to Norris freeway but that is a hell of a deal. I've actually never been in a Rural King. Is it just like a Tractor Supply on roids?
  7. That Glock 23 is a hell of a deal. I mean really, for anyone needing a new carry/go to war/nightstand/truck gun/zombie blaster....that would be a solid pick. I'm not a fan of .40S&W but if I wasn't currently unemployed I'd be all over that.
  8. I forgot one thing about the safe house that no one has mentioned yet. Let's say you spend $1,000 on a safe today and then 2 years from now you decide you need a bigger safe. Unless something has changed they will give you a full refund on the first safe towards the purchase of your next one. So if you want to jump to a $1,500 safe you will only be out $500 plus tax and delivery. I went in there thinking I would spend around $1,200 and I ended up buying 2 used safes for around $1,500 OTD. I bought a inexpensive but good used Cannon for $400 that I keep all my ammunition in. They had some good deals on used safes that people had traded in.
  9. Have we ever determined how much money the state of TN receives from HCP permits? I'm just curious honestly.
  10. You will probably find this video to be informative. Personally they do not interest me, especially for the price. Also, it failed miserably in a "torture test".
  11. I recently stumbled across something interesting on my way to Citico. There isn't much to see but it's a beautiful area and I appreciated the history behind it. Let me know if this isn't what you're looking for. One of my hobbies is just getting in my Truck and taking the most random backwoods redneck roads in TN that I can find. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanasi#/media/File:Tanasi-monument-tn1.jpg http://www.tennesseerivervalleygeotourism.org/content/tanasi-memorial/ten3863D31BF29B49865
  12. The only way for you to legally sell a handgun to someone from another state is to have it shipped to an FFL in his/her home state.
  13. The range I go to now is roughly 50 yards off the interstate at the Sugar Limb Rd exit. To join one simply has to visit the LCSD and pay $50 for the full year. There is only one spot for rifles though so only one person can shoot at a time. It's nice for pistols, but not much more.
  14. I have a Gen 3 19 with probably 5K rounds down the pipe. The only malfunction I've had was with a crappy reload that someone tried to shoot through it. That being said, I've owned other Glocks that have had malfunctions. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it happens more frequently with different kinds of ammo.
  15. In the past they would make you pull the gun out right there in front of everyone in the airport and chamber check it. That was extremely stupid and I'm glad they don't make us do that anymore.
  16. I haven't read the bill but my guess is that they would have to "compromise" and just make it so that you could buy a suppressor after passing a background check after removing the tax stamp and extra hurdles from the ATF. That's not what I want, but I'm not sure it would pass without it. Even some of the more central republicans will want to avoid passing this I think.
  17. Murg is right. I moved to FL for 4 years but continued to visit TGO. I'm very sorry to hear about your wife and I wish you all the best. I hope that you will continue to visit from time to time and let us know how you are doing.
  18. Is there anything volunteers can do to help? I got fired from my job Friday so I've got nothing but free time Also, is there a map that shows where the active fires are?
  19. I know you've posted negatively about it several times and I'm not saying I would want to live there but my wife and I really enjoy going there on the weekends. It's great for offroading, camping and hiking. We typically go further down 68 towards Coker Creek but that entire area is full of adventure.
  20. Consider this another endorsement for the Safe House. To me a safe is not something you want to cheap out on. Spend the money once and get the right one. I'm a big fan of Browning.
  21. West Knox county and Loudon county has a lot of smoke in the air due to wildfires. I can't ever recall it being this bad since I've lived here. I went on vacation to CA in August and it has only rained one or two times at my house since that time. We desperately need rain.
  22. Nothing wrong with opting for the stall if it is available. I don't do it all the time but I have before.
  23. I always liked this one,

    Gen 4 Glock 21

If I was trying to stay in the $600 range then I'd go with the G21 or M&P. Anything above that and I'd like choose the Sig P227 as mentioned above.

    Gen 4 Glock 21

I can't speak to the M&P but I do have a gen 4 21 which I'm quite happy with. I have average size hands and with no backstrap the 21 feels great. I've heard people say the M&P is easier to carry so depending on what you intend to do with it that might be a factor. I never intended to carry my 21 so it doesn't matter to me. It is a BIG gun though.
