  1. MN already dropped us. Others will likely follow.
  2. I really like Sootch but that guy has never done a negative review in his life. Literally every piece of equipment or gun he reviews is "outstanding".
  3. Did you miss my post above where I quoted you and wondered if this would happen?
  4. Minnesota just ended reciprocity with TN. I know most of you won't care but I have a lot of family there so it's disappointing for me. "after researching the laws of other states and communicating with their representatives, four states are no longer eligible for reciprocity because their state laws include age and training exemptions that are “NOT similar” to Minnesota laws that mandate a minimum age of 21 and require specific Permit to Carry training for all applicants. These states are: Arkansas, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.”
  5. I was wondering why I couldn't see it.. Thanks!
  6. I just switched to Break Free CLP and I'm happy with it. I honestly think too much focus is put on this. Synthetic motor oil seems to work for a lot of people as well. I have been guilty of falling for marketing BS and was using Frog Lube. I recently stopped using it after reading all the countless negative reviews. It's essentially overpriced coconut oil(not kidding). FWIW, I've heard horrible things about Rem Oil as well. My advice would be to find an inexpensive one you like and stick with it.
  7. Is this new? I wonder if it will impact reciprocity with other states. I have seen other states drop reciprocity over the age requirement. I'm glad to hear that military members have the ability to get a permit though.
  8. Welcome to TN! Knoxville is great. When you are ready to get your permit let us know and we can make some recommendations. My wife and I went to Personal Defense Options off Watt Rd in West Knox county and we enjoyed it. http://www.personaldefenseoption.com/
  9. From what I can tell so far it seems it definitely has some advantages and disadvantages when compared to the G19. It sounds like it may have a better trigger, sights, and texturing. Arguably better ergonomics overall. The downsides from what I can tell are that it is taller and wider than the G19, at least from what that last video showed. I'd be curious how hard it is to detail strip. It's also 3 ounces heavier than the Glock. I think MAC said it best at the end of the video. "If you are looking for a 9mm handgun that blows away the competition, that isn't going to happen. It's simply going to boil down to personal preference." It would be hard for me to change carry guns at this point unless I'm just that impressed with something else. That being said, it looks like CZ may have hit a home run with this one and I'm sure it will see like crazy. Like I said a few weeks ago, we still need more data but all info so far has been positive. It will be fun to see more reviews and first hand reports from some of the members here.
  10. The Pro is a fine optic from what I've read but I'd take a look at the Trijicon MRO.
  11. I like Bersa but they can definitely be hit or miss. My Thunder .380 worked flawlessly until I sold it but my friend had one that never would run correctly even after a trip back to Bersa. I do think they are a good gun for the money though.
  12. Very nice!
  13. I feel like we can't even give opposing views here without it causing tension. This is why I almost didn't even post anything because it's not worth the argument. All I was saying is that while I'm also excited, I think we need to wait on some real world results to filter in. Next time I'll just not say anything, thus adding to the lack of site traffic/posting we seem to be having.
  14. I understand the interest because I'm also a big fan of CZ but I'm seeing a bit of overreaction. The gun isn't even out yet, let's wait for some real world reviews/results and rounds down range before calling it the next best carry gun. I remember the exact same thing happened with the VP9 and it seems interest has died down for that gun. When this reviewer called it "better than the Glock 19" he lost a bit of credibility. It may very well be, but we need more data. His claim was a bit premature.
  15. I would try to contact PSA and see what they offer. I've been told their customer service is HORRIBLE though. Otherwise I'd say you should let them air dry and see what happens. You almost have to wonder if they short ship the orders and hope people won't bother to count or if they just have so many orders someone screwed up.
  16. Thanks for all the replies.
  17. I found this to be interesting even though I don't own anything in the caliber. I copied it from another forum and thought you all might find it interesting as well.
  18. I had a guy get road rage on me yesterday simply because he was mad that I merged in front of him. I signaled and waited as long as I could before simply having to move over. He then got really aggressive. I remembered this thread and simply ignored him. Life is too short to get worked up over someone's driving.
  19. I only ask because SGAmmo keeps running deals on 1000 rounds of TulAmmo 9mm for only $160. The last time I purchased any steel case ammo was back in 2013 when it was the only thing available. I'm just curious if people feel the negatives outweigh the savings. My Glocks will eat it just fine but it's always been underpowered and less accurate than other choices.
  20. I read that story and cried my eyes out. My wife read it with dry eyes. She's much tougher than I am.
  21. I had a very similar experience at a gas station in Savannah GA. Thankfully I had more than one gun with me but I came out and said to my(now) wife "I'm surprised you didn't have the gun out of the glove box". She calmly lifted a blanket that was over her and showed me the Ruger LCR in her hand. I guess my point is that there are some really bad parts of town in just about every city but some cities definitely have a larger portion of areas you should avoid.
  22. It's been a long time since we've had a Memphis thread. Usually it ends up with the Native Memphians getting upset. I'll just say this, I have never been to Memphis but I would love to party there sometime. I think the best part of Tennessee is Nashville and everything east of it but I'm sure there are nice suburbs of Memphis as well. I do feel like Memphis has earned the reputation they hold and I'm sorry if that pisses off any of the natives here on the forum.
  23. That is a very generous event for all involved.
  24. I think most of us understand that the intelligence community will never be able to prevent every attack. That doesn't mean we are willing to sacrifice liberty in the name of security. I suspect this man was no fan of the 2nd Amendment regardless of his thoughts on preventing terrorism.
