  1. I was hoping for a better outcome. Very unfortunate.
  2. I do not know who that is.
  3. None of it makes sense. They were so desperate to escape that they killed 2 guards yet they surrender without a fight to some random dude?
  4. Even before I opened this thread I knew you were going to drop some hints about your jerky fetish.
  5. Yep. Remember this? http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/harrisburg_politics/Two-lawmakers-involved-in-shoot-out-with-robbers-near-Capitol.html?mobi=true
  6. Unconfirmed for now. Also saw unconfirmed reports that someone on the field was armed and returned fire. It will be interesting if that is true.
  7. Rand Paul said the only reason they had cops there is because Scalise's rank dictates that he gets his own security. They were very lucky those cops were there.
  8. I dunno. I'd like to hope that most of them are smart enough to realize it would be political suicide. Then again, getting shot could definitely change ones opinion I suppose. What's more concerning is just how divided we are. I'm seeing comments online from people who are happy this happened or saying Republicans brought this on themselves.
  9. Or set the camera down in order to aim properly.
  10. They are not going to loosen restrictions. After that attack in France where they used AK's I remember reading that the politicians actually doubled down on the restrictions, or at least tried. Even if they did, I don't believe it would impact prices here.
  11. Despite the headline of the article, I'm pretty sure that goat was deceased. These Pythons have become a huge problem for South FL. When I lived there I remember a family watched a python kill their Siberian Husky in the I back yard. https://www.outdoorhub.com/news/2017/06/06/graphic-video-florida-woman-python-glock-save-goat/
  12. If this were to happen and the impact is actually as severe as predicted(70-90% of population deceased) then it really doesn't matter what you have stashed. Very few of us would survive. I think it would really boil down to how quickly the military could respond to keep the peace, assuming their equipment isn't also fried. Even then I don't have high hopes. I agree with having some provisions at home though.
  13. Somewhat related, this fella used a M76 against a guy robbing his gun store. Quite the story, http://www.afn.org/~guns/ayoob.html
  14. Ya that's a good point. As a member of the military you can order directly from CZ.
  15. I've always thought CZ's were hard to find. Most gun stores only carry a few at a time. Did you try SMKW next to Buds or Bill's Outpost?
  16. I thought I'd give this thread a bump because I just had Steve sharpen my Protech. He put an edge on it that is better than it came from the factory. Turnaround time was as fast as one could possibly expect. It was in the mail longer than Steve had it. I was amazed at how quickly it came back. If anyone has a blade in need of some TLC then @willis68 is your guy.
  17. Your second link takes me to this page, not to the Navy edition. FYI
  18. Horrible color schemes are one thing but some guns don't need any help to be hideous. The PPX his horrible looking but a great gun for the money. I wish I had kept mine.
  19. This. I don't take a gun on vacation unless we drive there. I'm typically drinking most of the time so having a gun on my person isn't a wise choice. Don't let carrying a gun get in the way of having fun and relaxing.
  20. Tell that to everyone who hyped it up so much. I agree with you but I do admit the idea of having a gun the same size as my G19, with a better trigger and ergonomics is appealing.
  21. There are still plenty of great concerts and music festivals taking place but the music and drugs have changed. The idea that young people are "full of hate" is just ridiculous. Go to a rave and watch all the young people on ecstasy and you'll see plenty of love
  22. He seemed underwhelmed. It didn't give him any issues though.
  23. Reports are starting to trickle in that echo what you said about the trigger. It apparently seems to vary greatly from gun to gun. I also read and saw pictures from another forum on a guy that is having issues with his feeding hollow point rounds from a partially loaded magazine. The were able to duplicate the same issue with 2 different units. I'm still interested in the P10 but I hope they didn't rush to production.
  24. I'm working on it! Some interesting facts countless cops reported running out of ammunition(some for their handguns and some for their AR's). Multiple cops experienced weapon malfunctions(skip to page 28 for Mini-14 malfunction) the same cop that had the malfunction also ran out of ammo. Another officer gave him a spare magazine. This supports the reason many departments want all their officers carrying the same weapon. Each suspect was shot over 15 times, proof that there are not many 1 shot stoppers out there. Bullets don't care where they go. The cops shot 440 rounds. Numerous houses and businesses were struck I was reminded of the North Hollywood shootout back in the 90's when most of the cops only had sidearms. AR's made a huge difference this time. the suspects were not great shots, thank god. Of the 81 rounds they fired at police, only 1 hit an officer. He lived. I know we don't have many cops here but I thought it sheds some light on what takes place during a situation like this.
  25. http://www.guns.com/2017/05/27/report-details-gun-battle-between-san-bernardino-suspects-and-police/ Pretty interesting details from the 2015 terrorist attack. I read the first 18 of the 55 page report. At one point an officer describes having his weapon malfunction and being distracted while trying to fix it.
