I'm 6 years into my career in logistics. Back in November life threw me a curve ball and I got fired from my job of 5 years despite several promotions and raises. Looking back it was actually a blessing in disguise. I was extremely unhappy there but too scared of change to quit. I was managing a group of 50 people and nearly all were convicted felons. It was so bad I didn't feel safe even with my Ruger LCR on me. My job now is hard to explain. Out of 8000 employees at my new company only 1 other person has the same job title as me. I'm part operations manager, part customer service, and the job has very little stress. I have a great boss and it's nice to actually be appreciated by my employer again. I had to take a substantial pay cut but I'm hopeful that I will eventually change that. Life is funny sometimes. It's important to remember that although money can help, it's not healthy to hold a job that makes your life hell.

I'm not even close to that number. I keep watching ammo price fall though so now is the time to stock up. I did score a box of .22lr today!!

Do you mean a "dumbing-down" effect? As in people who use THC are just more calm and laid back?

It's been an epic fail every year that I have looked. After comparing prices I've found myself using Amazon less and eBay more.

Probably because of the stigma associated with marijuana. It sounds a lot like the banks that have been caught discriminating against gun shops or companies that manufacture gun parts.

I'm pretty sure my Edward Jones person would not have allowed me to buy stock in Canopy Growth if there were question surrounding its legality. It's being legally traded every day. Was it a smart decision? Who knows. I'm looking at it as a long term investment and I'm only out a small of money if it goes belly up.

I do. I still have a few of those stashed away in the safe. I still don't ever see .22lr on the shelf at Wal-Mart. I stop by the one in Turkey Creek about once a month and it's fully stocked with everything BUT .22lr.

Well said. I'm young compared to most of the members here but I've noticed that in the past 4-5 years I don't sleep nearly as well as I used to. My late 20's haven't been good to my quality of sleep. No lie, I actually slept through my parents security alarm going off once. If my sleep habits have deteriorated this much in just a few years it's really going to suck when I get older.

I really wish TN would legalize medical marijuana. I'd much rather use that that some medication. Nyquil does some nasty things to my head. Also, THC is a hell of a lot healthier than alcohol. Just saying..

I know most don't agree but I'm glad to hear that. Why ruin the lives of 2 kids who were only guilty of being young and stupid?

Good news. I know at least one person that was going to be a criminal if this had gone into effect.

There are a lot of great posts in this thread from members I respect and often agree with. There are also a lot of assumptions being made. I don't see how this video is as damning people are saying. It doesn't show us anything from inside the vehicle. None of us know what happened, only what we THINK happened. Did the cop screw up? Probably. Should Philando have stuck his hands out the window to be safe? Probably. Do cops sometimes get away with things they shouldn't? Absolutely. Keep in mind they also get accused of things they didn't do. That's why I like body cams. Hell, I've been accused, and eventually fired over something I didn't do. It sucks. Sometimes the only ones that know the truth are the people involved. There are just too many unknowns including what the jury heard and saw. If there is an afterlife, this officer will have to settle his debts. Not that it's any consolation to the family of the victim.

This entire case is about race and black folks people targeted by cops. Had Darren Wilson been black we would have never heard of that case. There would have been no riots.

He made a lot of assumptions in this video. No one knows whether or not he was reaching for anything. Do I think he was reaching for his gun? No.. It doesn't make sense that he would politely tell the cop he was armed and then decide to pull it out. The only person that knows the truth is the cop. I agree we have a problem but I don't think it's as widespread as it seems. It's safe to assume that tens of thousands traffic stops are conducted every day. How many result in something like this? Lumping all cops together is no different than blaming all gun owners. I'd really like to hear from the jury as to why they felt the officer was innocent. I also didn't like how this video made it all about race. The cop that fired the shots is Mexican.

I went to school with the shooter. I'm not going to post his name yet but he works with a neighboring agency. Friends are telling me it was a domestic situation. His Facebook is jammed packed with pro cop and pro gun posts. I'm curious how that will be spun. The sad thing is that being courteous and letting the officer know he was armed probably cost him his life.
