  1. I've been seeing things in a different light lately. On Friday I was driving home from work and 3 cop cars from Crossville came up beside me. These guys were 60 miles outside their jurisdiction yet they were doing 15 over the posted speed limit and tailgating (intimidating) every vehicle until they moved out of their way. Imagine if one of us came up behind a cop and rode their ass just to get them to move over.
  2. I heard about this on the news recently and couldn't believe that cops have the ability to seize assets based on their belief that someone was guilty of a crime. What happened to due process? How did this even become a possibility?
  3. I'm having a hard time believing cops could be that stupid and evil. That looks like something out of a movie. Generally speaking, I'm very supportive of law enforcement. I'm not sure I can continue to defend them after watching that. Something tells me that's not the first time they have done that. That was too well rehearsed. They even thought to give him a bite rag. They need to all be heading to trial.
  4. Pretty much sums up my thoughts. What an excellent gift.
  5. Wow. You'll have to share that story sometime. Don't you drive as part of a team with another guy? Is he armed as well? Be safe out there.
  6. I put them on a Glock 23 I used to own and was really disappointed with them but this was partly my fault for not really understanding what I was ordering. The Glock was my night stand stand weapon and the sights really only glow for a few minutes. The tritium in the front sight is very small and probably the least bright of any night sights I've ever owned. They might be ideal for other uses though. I really can't speak to IDPA as I've never done anything other than Glock matches.
  7. I was thinking the same thing. Do the speed limit and don't worry about it. I was wondering if you kept something in your truck. Wise choice.
  8. Whoops. Too many beers tonight apparently.
  9. Not denying your story but how can the cop get ticketed by the judge? My wife got an expensive ticket in Winter Garden when we were living in Clermont. They didn't cut her any break.
  10. Obviously the cops made an honest mistake. That being said, they still made a mistake and that lady paid the price.
  11. You may be right however it came from one of my best friends who was the school resource officer at the school with said kid.
  12. Think about the fact that even though we are all experienced shooters we can still make this mistake. Now think about all the inexperienced shooters out there that have no idea what a squib load is or how to handle it.
  13. No lie, there is a young kid near me that his parents named ####head but pronounced Shetead. The h is silent. Apparently the first day of school was quite confusing for his teacher when calling role. The forum is blocking his name so use your imagination.
  14. I'd also like to express my thanks. I will eventually buy a lifetime membership but this is very much appreciated until that time comes.
  15. My wife and I are on season 2 and trying to catch you guys. I've never seen such an amazing mixture of bare breasts and violence until now!
  16. I really have a hard time understanding why anyone would risk their life to go there.
  17. I normally don't get bent out of shape about gun-buster signs but the fact that every theatre near me is posted means I rarely go to movies. It's one of the few places I get uncomfortable being disarmed. I'll wait and catch it at Redbox. It looks awesome.
  18. My wife and I finally got tired of being nagged about it and started watching it over the weekend. We're on episode 3 I think. I'm not sure why we waited so long.
  19. I'm not a huge fan of Sig pistols, especially their 1911's, but that looks pretty neat. For the money though, I'd rather shell out $1,500 for a Dan Wesson. I didn't see an MSRP listed though.
  20. Well said. And STACK that $ away for retirement. My wife and I are saving about 17% of our income so that we can retire at a decent age. I'm not going to be chained to a desk at 60+.
  21. I vividly remember firing your CZ 75 @Garufa. That is a gun I will own before I die.
  22. I feel the same way. If I ever have kids I'm going to tell them to pick a career that will always be widely needed. I'm worried about technology replacing jobs too. My friend is a travel nurse. He can move anywhere he wants and make a good living. I sometimes wish I had gone that route.
  23. Do we know that 2nd point for certain? I've never really seen how they plan for this to look.
  24. Have you tried any of the job search websites like Indeed? I see jobs posted constantly. If you would consider Logistics Sales I know Axle logistics is always hiring. My guess is a low base salary with the potential to earn a good commission.
