Unpopular opinion coming. I would carry your G43 and buy bear spray.

At this rate I'm expecting someone to claim they pocket carry their Desert Eagle.

If I started wearing overalls I could cancel my plans to get a vasectomy. My wife would quickly lose interest in me.

Dropped the price. Also, if anyone has a 125-250cc dirt bike they want to trade, let me know.

I had the exact same thought.

Ford vs Chevy vs GMC (not an argument thread!)

Toyota is having issues with the new Tundra. Several blown engines from members on the Tundra forum. I agree quality has declined but I think that's across the board. It's all about maximizing profit. OP is looking for a used truck around 30,000 which would work for an older Tundra. -

Everyone that answered with something other than Toyota is just wrong. Jesus will forgive you but I will not. -
I don't understand how you can comfortably pocket carry some of these guns. Y'all got some big pockets.

You get what you pay for. I'm pretty sure you could find one in your price range. MPG, horrible. If you are concerned about fuel economy then Toyota will disappoint. What you save on fuel with the other big 3 you will likely lose with future repairs. My 21 year old Tundra still has the original fuel pump, power steering pump, alternator and starter. It doesn't leak any fluids and doesn't burn any oil. There are people on the Tundra forum with 350k-700k miles. Original engines and transmissions. -

No one makes a better truck than Toyota. Sorry, not sorry. I would look for a used Tundra long bed online. -
Is this typically cheaper than insuring through your homeowners insurance? I pay extra on our homeowners policy to make sure my firearms are covered. My collection on guns is fairly small compared to many here on TGO.

Gotcha. Have you looked at Watauga Lake in farr east TN? It looks amazing. Douglas lake is also very nice if you haven't been. Similar to Norris.

I am confused. Are you going to Chattanooga, or North Carolina? Or both? By motorcycle or by vehicle? Have you already driven the Cherohala Skyway?

We need a special obituaries section for The Legion.

What city is this in? In my neighborhood in West Knoxville, we just had a woman assaulted at 4:15 in the afternoon while she was walking. The offender hasn't been caught yet. My wife walks the same path. Not a good feeling.

Bumping this thread again for help. I installed the extension, new spring and follower over a week ago and I'm having issues. I can't get more than 6 shells in most of the time. Once I got 7 to load. I have tried removing and reinstalling everything 3 times. It feels like the spring is getting bound inside the tube. It's clearly supposed to hold 7 so I bought the right one. I've also tried using the old follower but that made no difference.

No one knew how to apply a tourniquet? Sad way to go. Totally preventable.

I think we read into this too much. These mass shootings have become so frequent that unless 10+ people are killed, it leaves the news cycle almost immediately. It's less about some narrative and more about how the media thinks they can monetize it. I've certainly become numb to it. I find myself watching the news less and less because it doesn't add value to my life.

I'm not sure how much more abuse I can take. I've had a million "Is this available" messages. People asking me to trade them for 13-18 year old bikes, then begging me when I say no. My wife says I'm being dramatic but I disagree. Others get offended if you decline. Exactly. I don't trust people to do the work correctly.

I keep getting people offering to trade me my bike for their Frankensteined junk. Bikes that have had their top end replaced. All kinds of aftermarket parts. Frame replaced. No way am I taking a risk on some bike with a history like that. I want something basically stock, in decent condition, with an owner that can communicate normally. I may have set the bar too high when it comes to Facebook marketplace.

Does anyone have any tips for looking at used dirt bikes? Aside from checking the oil and overall condition, what are some red flags I should look for? I know the air filters typically can't be accessed without removing a body panel but I may try to do that. I've called a few dealers around Knoxville and the fees today are outrageous. The Honda I want has around $800 in various charges tacked on to the price, then tax. That's why I'm leaning towards a used bike.

Is this a normal coping mechanism you recommend as a therapist?
