  1. Seems fairly straightforward to me. Keep it concealed, don't talk about it. I'd argue that it must be under their care at all times. Never in a desk. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/what-its-like-for-one-teacher-who-already-carries-a-gun/ CBS did a pretty good job covering this. The irony is that in the video he says "no one knows I carry". Well, the entire world does now...
  2. Welcome to TN and TGO!
  3. You may be correct but I've not seen proof of this. Either side claiming the moral high ground is laughable.
  4. Be sure to read my Stormy Daniels thread.
  5. I would argue that neither party is immune from scandal. We like to pretend that one is better than the other but the facts really don't support that. "A Kentucky lawmaker accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl in 2013 killed himself Wednesday, officials say, a day after he denied the allegations. Republican state Rep. Dan Johnson, 57, was found dead of a single gunshot wound near Mount Washington, Bullitt County Coroner Dave Billings said." https://www.cnn.com/2017/12/14/us/kentucky-state-lawmaker-death/index.html And again, "A former Idaho lawmaker shot and killed himself Tuesday morning, three months after he abruptly resigned from the State House after a criminal investigation into alleged sexual abuse emerged." https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-nation/wp/2018/01/09/a-former-idaho-lawmaker-shot-and-killed-himself-amid-a-sexual-abuse-investigation/?utm_term=.3cfde14d0ec2
  6. I'm not willing to call this guy a coward yet. If policy states they are not to open the door then I don't blame him. Let's say the shooter is holding these kids at gunpoint and and the teacher opens the door. Now everyone is dead. There is a reason some of the teachers wouldn't let in the SWAT team until they slid their ID card under the door.
  7. I see your Glass Animals and I raise you Max Frost
  8. Anyone like bluegrass? These guys put out some good music. Not your typical bluegrass though. (language warning)
  9. I'm enjoying this Spoonman remix.
  10. I think you nailed it. I'm becomming convinced that Trump doesn't stand for much of anything. He will say one thing and then contradict himself and his staff the next day. Maybe McGyver is right, we probably shouldn't worry too much. I think conservatives would be a lot less forgiving if a democrat had said the same thing. Even my anti-gun coworker was shocked by his comments regarding due process.
  11. Solid find. "So far, Trump is looking like he is not going to deliver anything other than blowing his own horn every day and maybe dodging prison in the Mueller probe. Worse yet, the trade-off for his vanity will be the undermining of the one cause that truly defines what’s left of old stock America. By legitimizing gun-grabbing and executive fiat, he has just made it possible for the next President Obama to DACA the gun issue, by issuing new gun laws via executive order. Trump is proving to be one step forward and ten steps backward."
  12. It was a short clip with no specifics. He told her to "put what you want" in the bill. Do you really think she is only interested in background checks? I'm not suggesting it will pass, but anytime we see Feinstein "erupt with glee" we should probably be concerned.
  13. "Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) appeared to erupt with glee after President Trump suggested an assault weapons ban should be included in a bipartisan bill on gun reform." https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2018/03/01/mobapp-sen-dianne-feinstein-giddy-trump-gun-bill.cnn
  14. I've always heard good things about the GOA but I'm curious how much influence they actually have. Can someone fill me in on any concrete wins they have had over the years? I'd be willing to join.
  15. I hope you're right. Keep in mind that what Trump said yesterday is actually going to seem "reasonable" to a lot of Americans. The GOP will be forced to make a decision. They can either fight Trump(which historically they have not) or agree with him and probably most of the country. We are likely in the minority on this. One doesn't have to look further than this thread to find some support for what he's suggesting.
  16. And if he does more damage than she could have done, is it still a win? He actually just suggested due process be ignored. MacGyver nailed it when it said the GOP would have lost their minds if Hilary suggested the same. I don't think she would have accomplished much at all, the GOP would have stopped her at every turn. Trump is likely going to piss off so many people that the GOP will lose the majority in the house and senate. I'm really not surprised Trump has these opinions expressed yesterday but I am shocked he would actually say them. I really thought he knew his base better than that.
  17. We used to laugh at the fact that it was Dick's on Peters Rd. Across from Harry Lane. Juvenile I know..
  18. I wish we could look back at some of those threads from 2016. You really did warn us, repeatedly.
  19. I think we might actually see more damage done to the 2nd amendment under Trump than we did under 8 years of Obama.
  20. Are you talking about a new or really old Glock? I had a Gen 2 19 and I believe it had ATT on the barrel which was a date code. The first letter was the month and the following 2 were the year. Maybe you're referring to something else? Mine was made in December of 88.
  21. Facebook recently admitted there are negative consequeces to social media. I zapped it a few months ago but kept the messenger feature so I can reach out to a few friends if I need to. I'm thinking about killing Instagram. Anyways, I think in the next decade or two more studies will show how much social media has screwed us up.
  22. I listened to this at work today and enjoyed it. Well done guys!
  23. I'm going to have to disagree here. Nearly being executed with your own weapon, and only being spared because it was empty, is not what I'd call a win. That's damn near the worst possible scenario. I applaud their bravery but this could have easily ended in disaster.
