I would be thrilled if I could actually find many CZ's in person. I've been trying to get my hands on a CZ P10c for months now. I don't understand why CZ hasn't bumped up production. The demand is there.

Someone here recommended Tetra in the past. I use that on my 1911 with good results. I'm sure that any of the previous recommendations in this thread would be fine though.

That's awesome. I like the red lights!

Non-Permissive Environments and Improvised Weapons
Erik88 replied to TGO David's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Yep. When I lived in Florida is wasn't illegal to "drink" while carrying. You just couldn't be "drunk". You also couldn't do it in the bar area. Very odd honestly. -
I wonder which TGO member that was.....

Arlington National Cemetery Asking for Public Opinion
Erik88 replied to volshayes's topic in General Chat
I simply cannot understand why we spend thousands of dollars to put dead bodies in a fancy box. If I were to die tomorrow I'd much rather my wife use that money for a nice vacation than a coffin. Burn me or wrap me in a cloth and stick me in the ground. -
For me, in reinforces the fact that we need to stop putting people in boxes. Not all Republicans are pro gun. Not all democrats are anti-gun. I recently found a group on Reddit for liberal gun owners. There are 17,000 members in that group. Every day they are posting new content in opposition to ANY new gun laws. I shared this video with my anti-gun coworker who happens to be black. Even he admitted that what they are discussing makes sense. He doesn't agree with every point but the video has at least introduced him to an opposing viewpoint that he may not have considered.

My Experience at a Gun “Conversation” meeting

Thank you for spending your time on this and for sharing with us. -
It's pretty rare that I'm actually tempted to downvote a post. Claiming that this fire is justified based on the actions of one salesman is pretty childish. I hope their insurance takes care of them and that they are able to recover financially. I'm glad no one was killed.

Opinions needed on red dot around $200
Erik88 replied to Erik88's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I ended up ordering the Holosun 403c. I found a good deal on eBay. Holosun makes red dots for primary arms and it was around the same price($165). It's a 2MOA version with the "shake awake" feature and solar panel on top with a 5 year back up battery. I'll report back once I have a chance to use it. https://holosun.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=49&products_id=35 -

That's not how I interpreted their message. Have they ever sold magazines over 10 rounds? -
Opinions needed on red dot around $200

I emailed OP and thought everyone might want to see their response. Greetings from OpticsPlanet.com! Thank you for reaching out to us, and giving us a chance to respond. We're aware of a recent rumor suggesting that we made decisions to restrict the sale of magazines with capacities greater than 10 rounds due to recent events. We want to assure you this is not the case. Insufficient internal communication led to a misread message. We are not offering magazines with capacities greater than 10 rounds to the general public due to our location in Northbrook, Illinois, and local laws that limit our ability to sell these. Being an internet retailer serving fifty states can be complex at times, and frankly, our location in Illinois only adds to this complexity. We may not always like the law, but we need to follow it. You can see the ordinance in question here: https://library.municode.com/il/cook_county/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=PTIGEOR_CH54LIPEMIBURE_ARTIIIDEWEDE_DIV4BLHOASWEBA_S54-212ASWELAPAMASAPREX At OpticsPlanet, we have never used the inflamed tensions and emotions of current events to drive decision making. Our support of the 2nd Amendment is made undeniably clear by the products we offer. We are one of the few online retailers who never stopped offering completely legal products based on public or political pressure. We do not raise prices during frenzies. We do, however, follow the laws and make adjustments when legally required. While we wish we could be your provider of these magazines, our hands are tied in this matter. We sincerely apologize for our role in creating any confusion, and hope you'll continue to support us as many loyal customers have over the past 18 years. Have a great day! Best regards, -
I hope people are taking notes. I believe this is the 2nd Republican governor to sign new gun control legislation in the past month.

90% sure those are made by Holosun. I have a basic red dot from P.A on an AR pistol. I might take a 2nd look. -
You're right. I don't think we're going to convince those that just simply hate guns though. It's the reasonable people in the middle that we stand a chance to engage with.

I'm finally going to add a red dot to my Sig MPX. I'm leaning towards the one of the Holosun models but I really don't have any experience with this. Is there a reason why I should pay $30 more for the orange lens over a yellow lens? Should I pay more to get the solar panel on top? https://www.opticsplanet.com/holosun-paralow-hs403a-red-dot.html I'm open to other suggestions as well.

That's basically where I'm at right now. If someone wants to have a rational discussion I'm willing but some of these people are just not accepting even basic facts. I even took the time to validate some of the numbers I've heard. I went on the FBI's website, copied their data into Excel and totaled up their figures. I tried sharing these with my anti-gun coworker and he really didn't care. He doesn't think we should be allowed to own anything like an AR-15. I mentioned that the VA Tech shooter killed twice as many people with a 9mm handgun and he dismissed that as well claiming it was "rare". I mentioned mass shootings in general are rare. Didn't matter. True story, in 2016 nearly twice as many people were killed by fists than rifles. Nearly 5x more people were stabbed to death than killed by a rifle.

THIS is what activism looks like. What is our side doing?
Erik88 replied to TGO David's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
No. But I did watch a video of a woman who was comparing the AR-15 to nuclear weapons. -
Just keep in mind that by shopping around they will most likely do a credit check each time. This does impact your score. That being said, I definitely agree with the advice above. Shopping around is the smart thing to do.

I just had an anti-gun coworker praise this article and then 10 minutes later claim "I'm not saying we should ban guns". Then he contradicted himself a 2nd time and said he didn't think we should have AR-15's. It isn't possible to have a rational discussion with someone when they are not even being honest in their beliefs.
