  1. Sure. I've only been able to ride the gas bike a few times but I'll share my initial thoughts. I had a really hard time letting the E bike go. The Talaria felt like riding a really fast mountain bike. It's light and nimble and overall just easier to ride for an inexperienced rider like me. If I got in a jamb I could just pick it up and turn it around. It was incredibly fun. The biggest downside is that they are made in China. I was concerned about long term reliability. Range was a concern too but I could have picked up a 2nd battery. The Honda is 70lbs heavier. It's harder for me to load on my hitch hauler, harder to ride, and feels more like an actual motorcycle. That said, I'm sure this will get easier with time. I'm enjoying shifting gears and learning a clutch. It has better suspension than the Talaria. It is also made in China but still has Honda's reliability. It also has twice the range. Most people report getting 100 miles or more to a tank. If money were not a consideration I would have kept the Talaria in addition to the Honda. I hope to have another one someday. Overall, both are a lot of fun and I enjoy riding in the woods much more than pavement.
  2. Yes it worked well enough. I'm still experimenting with different ways to strap it down.
  3. This thread is exactly what they want. Just by talking about it, he's getting more attention than he otherwise would have. Politicians on both sides are going to start throwing out ridiculous things to try and grab more attention from the media as the race heats up. Buckle up. This amendment will never happen.
  4. That dude is going to kill someone if that thing falls off. Imagine hitting that on a motorcycle.
  5. That is amazing. Thanks for sharing.
  6. Here is the interview if anyone is interested. Interesting. It appears someone took it down. That isn't suspicious at all...
  7. My wife says she's ready to be probed. I'm not sure how concerned I should be.
  8. Not if they keep suppressing it.
  9. Yes exactly. But if someone is willing to lose a hand for a loaf of bread, I'm not sure more punishment will be effective. We aren't doing anything to address the root cause of why people commit crime. We put people in prison, they get released, and many commit crimes again. We did nothing to actually fix that individual. If the argument is that they are there to be punished, not fixed, then that's fine. Just know that it doesn't somehow reduce crime.
  10. It's disappointing that some of you think harsher penalties would actually work. There are countries that chop off a hand for stealing and yet they still have a lot of crime. If people are desperate enough it doesn't matter what the punishment is. On the opposite side, there are countries with extremely liberal penalties that have some of the lowest rates of crime on earth. Addressing the root cause of crime would be a lot more effective at preventing it than fighting over the penalties.
  11. I'm been following this story the last few days and find it very interesting. "The US has been urged to disclose evidence of UFOs after a whistleblower former intelligence official said the government has possession of “intact and partially intact” alien vehicles. The former intelligence official David Grusch, who led analysis of unexplained anomalous phenomena (UAP) within a US Department of Defense agency, has alleged that the US has craft of non-human origin." Even Rep Tim Burchett agrees. https://twitter.com/HighPeaks77/status/1666772506206666753?t=trkxo9eL7d8c5iAqpk5Oqg&s=19 https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/jun/06/whistleblower-ufo-alien-tech-spacecraft
  12. I got so annoyed with their website that I still haven't signed back up. There is really no excuse in 2023 to have a website that dysfunctional. Especially when fundraising is key to your existence.
  13. I'm not sure what the truth is. The documentary I watched didn't paint him in a great light either. I realize that might be biased too.
  14. My friend lives in the town where this occurred and says that the way we've portrayed this guy doesn't match reality. He claims the guy was an ass and that everyone he has spoken to has only negative things to say about him.
  15. I found a place to run a ratchet strap through the middle that only touches the frame. I added a bungee cord to the rear wheel to keep it from lifting. Cycle Gear didn't have any wheel straps in stock. Now it feels even more secure. Think this is secure enough for a 35 minute drive to Windrock tomorrow?
  16. I don't see a place on my bike to do this. Haven't found a way to run it through the swing arm either.
  17. Do they sell these blocks or do I need to make one? I do have a fork saver to help protect the fork and keep them from compressing when I hit bumps like you describe.
  18. It feels fairly secure right now. I'm using the pull tight straps you mentioned. I'd feel a little better if I added an additional strap somewhere. I think I might be able to get one across the swing arm but below the chain. I'll mess around with it tonight and see what I can come up with.
  19. Well, I have officially moved up to gas. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about missing the ebike. It was just so easy to ride. Everyone that rode it, loved it. This 2021 CRF125 Big Wheel was ridden so little it still has the hairs on the front tire. Anyways, Does anyone have a suggestion for strapping this thing down? I don't see a good place to run a ratchet strap through the middle like I did on the Talaria.
  20. Visiting my friend in Fentress County. They all agreed the Talaria is more fun than the ATV's.
  21. Post the link please. I'm under hotline and still don't see an option to renew.
  22. Yep. This website is terrible. I haven't found the link to renew my membership that lapsed.
  23. Recreational pot smoking is no worse than recreational drinking. In fact, I'd argue that alcohol is worse for the body in just about every measurable way. Eventually people will realize it doesn't make sense to criminalize it any longer.
  24. Wouldn't you still have maintenance like brakes, ball joints, tie rods, shocks, etc? Aside from oil changes it seems like maintenance would be about the same. Granted, I realize a lot of people don't actually replace their suspension components like they should.
