Are we going to destroy our own stadium every time we beat Bama? If anything, this elevates Bama. Like beating them is a miracle. 2022 was special and worthy of storming the field. This was not. And last week I experienced the opposite. Our fans were trashy. At times most of the stadium was chanting "F*ck you Florida". Just saw a friend on Facebook post that he had to defend an elderly Bama fan in the restroom after the game.

Ours fans tearing down the goalpost again is ridiculous. That should be a once in a generation thing, not every win. I haven't been impressed with TN fans lately. I was at the Florida game last week and some of our fans were acting like trash. I watched a drunk TN fan threaten to arrest some Florida fan for cheering.

You deserved to be ranked at this point.

I was there. It was exhausting watching our offense struggle.

Update from KPD UPDATE: Earlier this morning, an explosive ordnance robot was deployed to get a sample of the suspected explosives found inside of a box at CMC Recycling on Thursday afternoon. The sample tested positive for ammonium nitrate, as confirmed by lab scientists at Quantico, which is consistent with dynamite. Currently, Bomb Squad technicians are actively working to remove the dynamite from the box and safely dispose of it. In order to dispose of dynamite, technicians will methodically remove it from the box, douse the dynamite in diesel fuel, and burn it. Those efforts are being supported by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Metro Nashville Police Department Bomb Squads, including advanced MNPD robotic equipment. It was initially reported that the box contained around 200 sticks of dynamite. Technicians have not yet verified how many pieces of dynamite are in the box. There is no evidence to suggest that the box was left on the site maliciously or with criminal intent. CMC Recycling is a metal recycling facility that purchases material to be salvaged. The box, which was locked and unmarked, was on the site for at least several days. On Thursday, CMC Recycling was using a torch to salvage the box when they unintentionally set the box on fire and discovered the dynamite. The box is no longer smoldering or emitting smoke. The evacuation zone will remain in place until Bomb Squad technicians have completely disposed of the contents of the box and it is deemed safe to return to the area. That work is expected to continue into tonight and potentially into tomorrow morning.

Yes we got the push notification to our phones yesterday and we're not even close to the evac zone. And the notification came over an hour late. Nice job government

I've seen multiple reports from people on Facebook saying FEMA is on the ground and helping. I'm guessing the disconnect is that they can't be everywhere. I'm sure there are places they haven't reached. One person on Reddit gave a detailed report sharing how they spent the day with FEMA going door to door, taking a census and seeing which supplies each house needed. Even governor Lee has stated the federal government has been helpful. Again, people are going to politicize this to help their cause. There is clearly a misinformation campaign going on. Being so close to the election is not helping.

The same way the government can implement curfews during an emergency. Not saying I agree but I'm guessing that's how they get away with it. I'm very skeptical of some of these claims coming out without hearing first hand. I do know there are reasons they don't let volunteers do search and rescue without any training. Sometimes those trying to help end up needing to be rescued themselves. I've also seen a few videos from locals where too many people are showing up to "help" and are actually creating issues of being in the way. I imagine most people have good intentions but may not be as helpful as they think.

You know it's almost time for the election when folks are hell bent on politicizing this. From most accounts, the state, local, and federal government is actually doing a pretty good job getting help to these areas. There are lineman coming from as far away as Canada. People are being evacuated via helicopter and supplies are being air dropped to the areas that are not accessible by roads. I'm never suggesting one should depend on the feds but it does seem like they are doing as much as one could reasonably expect. I saw some folks in Asheville report that they applied for financial aid from FEMA and it was approved within 24 hours.

My wife and I were discussing the same thing. Their only hope is FEMA help.

I just read that parts of NC got over 29" of rain. Unbelievable. We got 5" in Knoxville and it felt like a lot.

I don't see how some of those coastal cities will remain insurable much longer. I saw one of them has been hit multiple times in the last 3 years. Doesn't seem sustainable for insurance companies.

The pictures are crazy. I40 being washed out is going to be a nightmare. I heard the big Ingles DC in Black Mountain flooded.
