  1. Fugates in Calhoun(above Cleveland). It's $50 and since they gave two instructors they can cut the class to only 4hrs. This means you don't sit around and wait while others are on the range shooting.
  2. I have been around the turf grass industry my entire life, unfortunately. Understand that zoysia grass is a warm season turf grass that requires a minimum of 5-8 hours of direct sunlight a day, which honestly is just a little bit more than a fescue grass needs. If you have this much sunlight and live in southern TN I normally recommend Burmuada grass. It is a more heat and drought tolerant turf, faster recovering, and you can use a lot more chemicals to keep it nice. I am a huge fan of Bermuada grass and most people have all the wrong ideas about it. My biggest complaint about Zoysia is large patch, this is a fungus somewhat resembling fescue brown patch. The large patch is very costly to treat and is not very successful. Also, Zoysia is a thick hard to cut turf but with a good horsepower mower you will. It notice except for frequently dulling blades. I will say that if you have enough sunlight and want a turf to just do it's thing. Zoysia will pretty much look good naturally. He chokes out a fair amount of weeds naturally and requires very little supplemental nutrients.

    M&P Shield

I don't know what it is but the Shield's have almost no recoil. Even the .40 is a joy to shoot. It's been a while since i have shot a Taurus slim or a pf9 but I remember them being a handful.
  4. No confirmed body yet. The media jumps the gun.
  5. I don't think I could even intentionally squeeze the trigger of one of my j frames while it's in my waist. With the long trigger pull and having to rotate the cylinder at the same time.
  6. That place is known for fairly high prices. They do have some neat stuff that will take you back in time. They have lots of old ammo boxes, gun accessories in old packaging, and stuff your grandpa had. I will say that they are fairly nice there though. It's one of those places you actually want to buy something.

    Decockers

My father almost shot me when I was a child utilizing the method of riding the hammer forward. My mom thought someone was outside and cocked the hammer back on a revolver. When my dad got home he didn't know I was on the other side of the wall when he was trying to ride the hammer down. His sweaty hands caused his thumbs to slip and the gun fired. The round couldn't have come more than 1 ft from me.
  8. An attorney for the two women has stated they do not want to sue . They only want compensation for medical, missed wages and that kind of stuff. I'm still shaking my head on this whole thing.
  9. Pretty much. I have met some hardened sick criminals in my life, some will open up and talk. Those guys that will kill a cop will kill anyone and stop at nothing.
  10. Yeah it's a secret that they don't want you to know. I used to be a cop in Hawaii and frequently we would have tourist get their purses/wallets stolen so they would have to just get a thorough pat down and preferably show the police report. I even DUI'd a few tourist and seized their DL.
  11. I have seen more .223 today than I have seen in a long time. GT's had a bunch and the reloading place in Ft Oglethorpe had .223 and about everything else except bulk .22lr.
  12. There is something bad bad wrong here. Not one but two vehicles shot up thinking it is the suspect and it is not.
  13. I have not looked into it but since it is a crime for police agencies in TN to destroy working guns I don't know how they would do a gun buy back.
  14. Walmarts have been putting boxes out at random times. A friend of mine was told to only put out 5 random boxes per hour when no one is looking.
  15. I understand lefties feel left out but if your thinking about tactical reloads you need to be carrying a larger gun anyway. These pocket guns are BUG's or guns I use when I don't suspect trouble. The 5/ 6 or 7 rounds are to get me out of there while I'm running. I'll reload in my car or get a bigger gun.
  16. You have 1 year in TN for traffic related deaths to be charged with manslaughter.
  17. I have never used one but I have studied them a lot. Expect to make only about 30-40 rounds a hour. If you do this route a hand primer is a must, otherwise you will eventually have a primer detonation scaring you to death.
  18. It still has all the barrel weights, those get lost do easily.
  19. I have been in a ACE before that sold guns and almost bought a LCP for $279 at that. I do remember my dad buying some CCI Stingers at the ACE in East Ridge as a kid.
  20. The Walmart in Brainerd had a lot of rifle ammo(no.223) some .40 SD ammo and some .357 Sig practice ammo. This was on Super Bowl Sunday.
  21. Thats a good point, but unfortunately I don't think too many are interested in guns. I have a much younger brother that is 21 and I am amazed at how broke his generation is. Most have jobs, if you call it that. It's kind of sad because in my 20's I had more money than I have now. I had a lot of toys. I was also in the military and making bank.
  22. Truthfully, it's about 4 years too late. Ruger and Keltec have filled so many pockets and purses with products there isn't to many left wanting to buy. I think Kahr could have racked in he money with cm380's/9/40/45 a lot earlier. Instead they have some expensive models that 95% of gun buyers care nothing about, a TP45 for example.
  23. I seem to think we have less bank robberies. I'm not going to go into details since its to my advantage with a wife in banking and me myself in law enforcement but their are some great techniques nowadays to capture bank robbers. It's very rare to not close a bank robbery case nowadays.
  24. Without looking I had presumed that 30rd magazines were already illegal. Per 2012 even the police were limited to 15rd magazines.
  25. I have most of those items on his list because I bought the Lee Anniversary kit. I have been ver happy with it. I paid about $130 for it. I had been planning to go to a digital scale but after seeing how close my Lee balance scale was another scale I am sticking with it. The RCBS starter kit comes with some great stuff and is only about $300. To reload .223 you are also going to need a way to trim your cases.
