I agree on every aspect. Understand that states get teased with millions of dollars then states get bought off into following the NTSB's advice. Second, do we want to let serial killers, rapist, meth cooks and such people out of jail to make room for grandpa who has 4 DUI's in 4 years? I wish we did have room for the repeat DUI offenders but we don't.

I have never seen those numbers broken down but the .05-.79 crowd is probably only about 5% of dui arrested folks.. We see these numbers come up more in instances of vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, minors and similar. These people in most all states are guilty by statute already at under .08 though.

I have had a lot of alcohol detection training, a lot more than your average police officer. There is a way to calculate exactly what a persons BAC will be but I have always thought it was extremely inaccurate. During some of our controlled wet labs I have seen a ~180ish pound male down a 6 pack of 12oz beers and then 20 min later blow a .14, 20 min later he blew a .16. The killer of it all was that he was way under .08 a hour after being .16. it blew our minds how fast he sobered up. I have seen really small women drink 3 beverages and do horrible on SFST's and only reach .07. I had a friend when I was in the Army give blood and drink beer an hour later. On my portable machine (just as accurate) 7 beers got him over a .2

Yes, and I have arrested several of them. I have done SFST's and taken people in who were really surprised at what their BAC was. People think you have to drink a 12 pack to be over a .08. I always think of the signs saying, "Buzzed driving is drunk driving". People that drive drunk, will drive drunk. People that think you are able to drink a little and then drive may change their ways if the law changes.

How much is it? There are not many S&W LEO dealers out there, supposedly LEO pricing is $299. If I knew somewhere close to get one I'd buy another Shield.

This was addressed in my Academy class by a TDS represenative. This question is brought up a lot with service members and their isn't even an exception for them. No, you can not carry in TN with a TN DL and a out of state carry permit. You might be able to slip by an officer but in an event you use a firearm in self defense it will be brought up in a civil case, yes civil case, that you were carrying illegally.

Someone probably doesn't want to order it.

If you are serious about one my best friend from childhood knows a guy with one. I can ask about it. I don't think it has ever been fired, because he can't find ammo.

To be honest, later model 9mm Gen 3 Glock have created about as many problems as the Gen4's. Brass to Face was a topic on Glocktalk nearly everyday until recently. These problems have slowly been decreasing. I don't know that I have heard of many of them anyway with the Glock 26.

Gave the PF9 another shot....with good results.

Yes, a Pf-9 can be painful. -
The handlers can't get them until the dog is unfit for service. What happens is most handlers move, have to leave their dog behind with a new handler. The new handler gets the dog and may use it for a while before getting a new dog and then the old handler attached to the old dog doesn't have the resources or room to get his old dog. The dog then goes up for grabs to other handlers, service members, or joe public. Police agencies get first dibs before the dogs even current handler gets an opportunity.

Murfreesboro Police gun buyback this Saturday

S&W has started taken trade ins from departments, they are the only manufacturer I know of dealing directly with departments. Because of them dealing directly they have lost a lot, if not most of their LE dealers. I have no clue what S&W is doing with their trade ins. Being that the LE dealers aren't stocking S&W except for a few retail models I doubt GT's and other dealers are buying them from S&W. -
The Gen 3 upper will not work well with the Gen4 but it will work.

For the record, these are contract working dogs that they are referring to. Go to SPCA and try to adopt one of these. You will learn quickly that they are looking for money. They want you to pay to get these dogs out of foreign countries as well. True Military Working Dogs if adoptable get homes. A quick google search will take you to the military's website. There is a long waiting list, most handlers or other service members get 90% of them before joe public gets a shot.

I know Wikipedia is not a reliable source but everyone should look at the terror incidents that have occurred in the US in the last 20 years and how easily we forget them. Some are domestic but a lot of them are foreign nationals with Islamic ties.

It's easy enough to add but I don't see why some people have problems with the roughness. I actually wish it was closer to the RTF.

A Glock 19 but a Glock 23 with a conversion barrel is even better.

Have no worries, pick one up. There isn't a lot of difference between the 26's but the 19 is an improvement, IMHO.

Those two are the only ones I have used. I have done a lot of 38,380, 40 and a few 45. Without a doubt the PP is a fast burner. I have noticed the Unique is really clean, apparaently it is different than the old Unique. The PP meters better and takes up less room. The PP appears to be snappier the best I can tell and the unique in 40 was a dream to shoot at min loads. If you have any specific questions let me know.

I get so frustrated with iheartradio, on overcast days it cuts out every few minutes. Pandora is what I listen to a lot.

Terrorists couldn't unholster MIT cop's gun

So, it's been almost three weeks and the media is not asking for answers on where the brothers acquired the gun(s)they already had. -
Murfreesboro Police gun buyback this Saturday
Patton replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I know for a fact S&W has taken crap and used guns directly and traded new guns to small departments. I don't consider Atlanta small but they have traded some with Atlanta PD. The S&W LE representative came around my old department trying to get our buisness, we could have gotten a better deal on Glocks through GT's. -
Terrorists couldn't unholster MIT cop's gun
Patton replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Even with officers using the same holster as mine I have a hard time getting their weapon out during drills. It's different angles when taking away a weapon is something you have to get used to. -
Any of you guys familiar with detail shop capabilities?

Replace the moulding? I thought you just wanted to fix the lines?
