  1. Glocks at GT's have been scarce except used ones. I asked about Glocks a month ago and all that was in stock were GAPs and a few G17s.. Everything else has been come and go. LCPs are out of stock as of last week. I have found some used Glocks at good deals though. I bought the salesman's sample new/unfired G26 gen4 for $480 OTD. I got a used G19 gen4 for 465 OTD. All in the last two months.
  2. That is the thing, Scags around Chattanooga and around Knoxville are no where near as common as they once were. It does make you wonder.
  3. Gen4 9mm Glocks have plenty of chamber support, shoot them as many times as you like.
  4. That would weigh heavily in my decision making process.
  5. All I can say is that I love Kawasaki engines, however I have no experience with those two models. Scags are not as common as they once were, I don't know how servicing will effect that. However EFI does sound appealing. With the EFI, does the manufacturer and the dealer still recommend ethanol free gasoline?
  6. It really depends on which model and generation he has. Gen4 factory G20 barrels have better support than aftermarket barrels.
  7. There is truth to it but it is over rated. Which model Glock are you shooting your reloads out of? Most all Glocks have good chamber support after 2003ish, after that all have fairly adequate support. The 45's were the worst but it is such a lower pressure it doesn't matter. The best seem to be the 10mm and then the 357 sig. What happens is there will be a little pop belly on he wall close to the rim. Sometimes it will come out in resizing bu the brass does get worked and stressed there.
  8. I really wanted one of those $425 Sig 229's, were there any left?
  9. I had one but it was very uncomfortable to shoot. The CT grip is about as uncomfortable. The Hogue is a dream, too bad there isn't a in between.
  10. More and better photos to come.
  11. He found a 9week old Blue Tick Hound. He found some labs in the paper and the guy kept jerking us around, we said screw it and went to the pet stores. One of the rescues had a cute little female Blue Tick. He and I are GA fans, but the blue tick just seemed right.
  12. I have found some brass that is thinner than others. This matters in the resizing when I go to seat bullets. I don't bother to flare it more but I hold the bullet on going into the seating die. I never noticed what brand the brass was though. I have bought a lot some 9mm brass lately for $5/1lbs(about 115 pcs)
  13. Thanks, my brother found what he was looking for.
  14. I'm asking because my grandpa wants to buy one. My wife and I already have one is the reason he wants one.
  15. I have looked a lot and 309 seems to be the lowest price I could find. Except a Raspberry for 299 at sportsmans. I agree they are brutal, snappy little beast but grandpa needs an easy to carry pocket gun.
  16. Holly cow, so $309 plus fees and tax is a deal.
  17. Let me direct you to http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hate_crime_laws_in_the_United_States I normally don't cite Wikipedia but on this topic it's right on.
  18. A story like that makes me smile.
  19. You can say about any name you wanted but if it is to entice a fight it is a crime. If it leads to violence the Feds get involved. No I get what you are saying and I see the relativity to this case. However like usual the first person to bring up the racism(Sharpton, Jackson, and the Martin's) are the real racist here.
  20. When I posted that I actually thought you were the original poster. If the biggest gun you own is a LCP them by all means carry it.
  21. Actually calling someone that is awfully close to civil rights intimidation, a class E Felony. If the act is provoked by any form of violence or threats you are done.
  22. I agree on your TM opinion. Here is the deal with George though. First George should have blended in and TM should not have even known George even existed. Next, George had every right to do everything he did but he got in too deep, remember the rule don't go anywhere with a firearm you wouldn't go without one. This means in this situation to not get overly competinent. A thug does not care if your a watch captain of NW or even a cop. I have no sympathy for people who pay the consequences of their stupidity. Let this be a lesson to us all, be a good witness form a safe place or take photos. Don't even get in a situation where you may need to defend yourself. Don't even give a criminal any reason to believe you exist. A real criminal will kill you to eliminate a witness.
  23. No, you should not put yourself into a situation of danger. Be a witness from a safe place. What if Travon was a real criminal? He would have shot George for just looking at him. As a police officer I have seen too many people try to do too much and get hurt or go to jail themselves.
  24. The play stupid games and win stupid prizes theory has been in my mind this whole time, FOR BOTH PARTIES. I could go out at night and dress like a thug, walk the streets with a large hoodie, walk in the shadows, but I don't because I may not be able to handle the repocussions. I could go out and play neighborhood watch commander but I don't because it's stupid. If I see something suspicious I call the police or take good notes so in case a crime occurs I can turn over information. If I am getting paid to wear my badge I will do my job.
