  1. A 86 4wd was my first vehicle.
  2. It is Quick Cash and it only takes a 5minute drive and a 5 min TCIS check before you carry the gun home. The $25 transfer covers the $10 Check, and you make up for the rest of the $15 by cheaper GA taxes.
  3. I have mixed opinions on winches, Between them not working and breaking. Not to mention needing it on the rare. It it is mounted on the front. When you need one they are priceless. I have seen people go to pull the line out to find the winch has stopped working in the last year since they last tested it. They call the manufacturer to hear it isn't rainproof and should not have been left on the vehicle or it should have been covered. Seriously, people get told this all the time. Most of the people that have a winch use them for stuff they could just use the vehicles on power for then drive around with an extra 100lbs of winch and gear for another year. Obviously hardcore offroaders need and use a winch. I have been out and needed one but found a offroaders come along and/or hi lift jack did the trick. Otherwise I had another vehicle with or without a winch to recover me. If I ever do another one it will be a hitch mounted setup.

    New to me Glock 22.

It could have mismatched serial numbers and 10rd magazines for any number of reasons. I worked with an officer still using 10rd magazines in his G22 so they are out there. Glock most likely replaced the slide and barrel under warranty.
  5. I should have. I looked at one that looked brand new.
  6. I don't know of anyone who has bought one or had the chance to buy one. I know the one at GT's was a sample months ago.
  7. Truthfully more the weight, feel and thickness of a heavy loaded Glock 29.
  8. I know GT Distributors in Chattanooga has a display model. I haven't asked to hold it though, I have no interest in it. Too fat for an effective subcompact IMHO. Also pricy, I don't mind paying a lot for an effective service duty weapon though.
  9. Front and rear factory hooks are adequate for most applications. I have seen some failure from the factory ones, mostly seperating the frame but the hooks are plenty strong. I have never seen an issue from the older factory center hook or hitch. Newer ones have hooks on the outside where the frame rail attaches to the rear crossmember. Also, no issue with mounting a winch on top of the original front bumper.
  10. Was it a round bale of hay?
  11. The effectiveness of shotgun shells in that short of a barrel is poor compared to the same in a longer barrel. Some 410 loads are only penetrating a few inches at 10yrds. Also Buffalo Bore is some of the worst ammo I have ever tested. I had a terrible experience on paper with BB 147 gr 9mm, and no it wasn't the excessive recoil. It was also very dirty.
  12. I have "buds" there also. I can't speak for the early 2000's but I know they have conducted a lot of arrest, some may have been criminal summons. I have seen the booking reports for Hamilton County with ABC as arresting agency. Like I said I have also seen agents testifying in criminal court.
  13. That is the way I interpreted the law. I know it happens but I wouldn't want mix that had been out for hours, days, or made last month.
  14. I think you did the right thing. Call to say, I had a larceny that would be near impossible to solve but I would appreciate an extra patrol. It's no like there is a subject at large with a MO of only taking GPS.
  15. When I was an MP I took a case on a stolen dollar store broom. Sorry to hear about your loss.
  16. I think I remember reading that Suntrust were 5"x5"x20".
  17. While working as a LEO I have always stopped if possible. Obviously being very cautious of legal repercussions. I have bought people many gallons of gas, let them make calls from my cell phone, or given them a ride.
  18. A banker should not be present while you open the contents unless it is an unusual circumstance or if you request one.
  19. The ABC has always focused more on educating on what is appropriate and legal. They very well could enforce with criminal charges and fines. I know they have issued a lot of criminal summons and made some arrest because I have seen the arrest reports. I have also seen ABC agents in criminal court.
  20. I have heard of two occasions when an insurance company reported roadside service for a flat tire as a collision. I have also seen totally wrecked cars come back clean and clear.
  21. I heard the officer is not handling this well. It sounds like the officer intended to leave the air on, got distracted and then forgot the dog was in the car.
  22. You need the grip pin to disassemble the M&Ps unless you dry fire it. S&W doesn't recommend dry firing to disassemble though.
  23. All you have to do is buy the first two years and they will send you the coupon. But it will be two years before you get another coupon. You get the yearly annual and some Glock freebies. Invitations to the GSSF shoots where you have a good chance of winning a Glock. You also can go to an armors course.
  24. I ordered a M&P Shield in 9mm there one month ago. They just called and I told them they could sell it to someone else.
  25. The Glock 21 is more proportional. However it is extremely large. The G30's thick heavy slide I can not get used to. I actually sold you a 30sf that was a great shooter. I will buy a 30s someday.
