  1. Anyone know who gives the most for old cars in Chattanooga/Trenton area? It's a 87 Caprice( no engine) if it matters. My stepfather has one he needs to take somewhere.
  2. That's about the best comparison one can make. To me both are highly accurate and highly dependable. Sigs cost more and cost more to own. IMHO the Sig 220 is the best of the Sigs and beats a heavy(for Glock) thick Glock 21. Holsters, barrels, magazines, and parts for Glocks are so much more affordable and readily available I prefer them solely for those reasons. Glocks tend to have a higher capacity for size than Sig counterparts as well.
  3. I am sure this article is fake but I have known a few that swear Taurus 1911's are some of the best for the money.
  4. Story of my life, I did get a LCR out of the deal though.
  5. A lot of men make the mistake buying a wheel gun for their wife's first handgun. I would say as much as 90% end up keeping them at home. My wife, mom, and a lot of other women I know have j frames/LCR's, and Taurus 85's at home but carry a LCP or similar. I have a few j frames and my wife has a LCR w/ all three grips. Truthfully all the 5rounders, they handle the same. If she will carry an all steel j frame(~20oz) they handle a lot better. My only complaint about the LCR is it is easy to short stroke the trigger.
  6. I'll give you a hint, go in and say, "Give me which ever one you think looks the best.". The guy I saw do that got a nearly new one with three mags from the back.
  7. I was told, and saw one, that they have some in blue boxes, some with 2 and some with three magazines.
  8. All is great advice. Save your emails, I have witnessed a knock and talk by the ATF and when the guy being questioned printed off the emails with phone numbers the ATF was ready to talk to someone else.
  9. They had a model 10-6 for $199, no joke. Actually the whole place is full of some deals. Glock 23 Gen3 (fair shape) for $369. I think there were some Glock 22's still. They had one Sig 226 in 357 for $399, it's new enough to have a rail but it's a DA only (not DAK).
  10. The are not a S&W Law Enforcement dealer, they have some Shields, Body guards, and rerovolvers at civilian/retail prices. The M&Ps came from a trade for Glocks to Atlanta PD.
  11. There not on the site as far as I know, they just got them this week. Supposedly they have 400+ in stock with more coming every day. Atlanta now has Gen4 Glock 22's and SWAT has 21's.
  12. If you have never shot a 40 in one, S&W did a wonderful job on building these to handle any "snappiness" 40's are tagged as having.
  13. If anyone wants a slightly used M&P in 40, GT Distributors has them for $349 w/case and three mags. They have several hundred and are getting more every week.
  14. Yeah, TN has some stupid articles under domestic violence. Some aren't but some are.
  15. Screw an active shooter scenario, she was driving a 4k lbs nearly unstoppable bullet. I have said it before, if someone really wanted to cause havoc a car is the best weapon most of us have.
  16. No, I have seen issues when renting without a lease.
  17. Analog_Kidd, I am only going off of what others have told me but they say it is much easier to evict and sue if you have a lease than if you don't. I used to be a cop in a town with lots of rental properties, even though there wasn't much I could ever do to help anyone I often got called and explained all the difficulties wih tennants. I heard more than once that if the lease had no expired they would have been gone yesterday.
  18. I don't know what date they report but I am not suprised the date is off by three years. Let's get something else out there, domestic violence is one of the only crimes the courts can prosecute without a testifying witness Meaning the police had reason enough to believe your sister initially to arrest you then continue prosecution without a witness. I see it all the time, it sucks. Probably what happened was the preliminary hearing in sessions was thrown out but the evidence was taken before a grand jury in which you were indicted. Now, since it says you plead guilty but didn't you need to go to the courts and explain. It's most likely just a mistake that it says you plead. That makes no sense. You paid a bond to get out of jail before your preliminary hearing. You most likely didn't get jail time on top of the initial 12hr+ cooling period before seeing a judge. Now the probation, you must have plead or have been convicted to have been placed on unsupervised or supervised probation.
  19. I have learned from my parents mistakes, good guys get taken to the cleaners with rental property. If you can't kick someone out who is a week late on rent you will loose your ass, just to give you an example. You will hear every type of experience imaginable. Some folks do ok, some pay their lawyers more than they would have ever hoped to have made. Like someone else said, renters have all the rights, don't think that all it takes is 30 days to evict someone. If they try to sue you they can be there a long time, and they don't have to pay while doing so. I am not saying it is completely bad, it's just not a sit back and collect money adventure like most believe. If there was a for sure way to retire at 55 I and everyone else would be doing it. Commercial renal property seems to be where it is at, I don't know this for sure but some of the richest people I have known had commercial rental property.
  20. Was the conviction inTennessee? It's a mistake that you were able to purchase handguns. Were you possibly charged with a domestic assault but convicted of simple assault?
  21. Seriously, if you ever get a fair amount of 10mm I'd give you something for it.
  22. My IPhone 4 went for a swim in an OuterBox Defender, spent about 3 seconds under. Two years later it still works, no doubt the best phone I have ever had.
  23. I have seen it for $14.99, American Eagle I believe, at GT' s recently.
  24. No, the receiver is the true serial number.
  25. Classic M&P, great gun but there are a lot like it. If it is mint but no box it's worth about $450ish, even though it's not for sale.
