  1. That is about the fourth gun to com up in the most recent years stated as being one of theirs, I am always skeptical.
  2. I understand the buisness owner released these serial numbers and descriptions, but it is my belief that this is one of the worst actions to take. If the burglar knows the items he has taken is known as hot, he or she will more than likely stash them away or throw them out to avoid being caught. If a criminal has no reason to believe police have an accurate description of the items stolen they will very shortly appear at pawn shops or on online classifieds. Not too many stolen guns are recoverd from basements, sock drawers, or lakes. I would say 95% of stolen guns are recoverd from gun shops, pawn shops, waist bands of criminals in the streets, or on traffic stops.
  3. NAA Hogleg has a small grip with a long barrel, so does the target master.
  4. The SDs are a little over 5" in height, they are pretty close to the same size as a full size Glock.

    Glock 42

There are some photos out there of the Shield compared to a 42. I have a Shield and love it, on paper the Shield and the 42 are very similar in size. In person the 42 is smaller than I thought it would be. It is more towards PM9 size than a Shield size. What I realized after holding the 42 was that Glock designed it to be a better shooter than a pocket cannon. While I think the Shield is better overall, the 42 isn't as bad as first thought to be. Something else is that Glock designed the 42 with no intentions of it ever being a 9x19.
  6. Yes, the grip is the hardest part to conceal, actually I always thought my compact guns carried IWB easier than my subcompacts because the extra barrel length stabilized the entire gun. The XDS is now coming in a 4"barrel.
  7. How about a XD45c tactical, what is with the strange request? There are a lot of service size police trade in guns out there that you could do a grip chop on.
  8. Yeah, they probably didn't care or just figured he was legit. I know when I used to go on my 30 minute lunch/recess with my cop friends I did everything possible not to find work while trying to enjoy my food and friends. People that open carry do it frequently, as a cop you quickly learn all the open carrying guys and when you go to a MWAG call you don't even bother IDing the guy once you see who it is.
  9. People with as much money as they have do stupid shit like this all the time. I have been a personal assistant for people with money flowing out their ears, the stupid shit I have seen is nothing compared to this.
  10. Such a load of crap isn't it?
  11. I am almost positive that TCA has changed to where vehicles from other states have to follow that as well. It was purposely done so that people would stop registering cars in other states to avoid tint laws pertaining to them.
  12. I am USAA across the board, I used to be a traffic investigator and always heard great things about them when doing follow ups. I heard numerous bad stories with other companies, progressive seemed to be one of the worst. I have been with USAA about 8 years and have nothing but great experiences.
  13. I have not bought it but I am probably going to pass on it. It would be about $335, I looked at some older auctions where they sold for less. I may just hold out for another Smith or a more reasonably priced Undercover.
  14. Gander Mountain's prices are insane! Academy is reasonably priced on almost everything, should only help Academy.
  15. I have always liked older revolvers, how about a Charter Arms Undercover 38spl? It's not a Smith or Colt but it still has prestige, Serial no 6459** it is very very good and possibly unfired. What is your value on it and overall opinion? I believe it is an older one when they were of great quality.
  16. I would also be cautious in GA with dark tint. I know about 5 people that have been stopped and inspected in the last year. I don't think I know a single person in TN that has been stopped for tiny in the last year.
  17. I don't think you will ever get stopped for excessively dark back window tint, there is supposedly and exception for multi passenger vehicles(vans, SUVs, limos, medical, and LE). Another issue is most tint meters won't work but on roll down side windows. I would venture to say most LEOs think truck back windows can be dark.
  18. Bigryo, PM inbound.
  19. Really it is a matter of luck and geography plays a huge factor. The best gigs are government contract or government employee. There are some people making $70k plus a year at DOE and TVA sites but they really have the portfolio to work there, prior Federal service most of the time. I don't have a clue if there is anything like that around Nashville. Most of the private owned nuke sites pay even more than TVA but still if you aren't military and/or excop forget about it.
  20. Most any good paying job goes to off duty law enforcement or someone with a good resume with police work and/or elite military.
  21. The armored car drivers and runners are making about $11 an hour across the state. I have never met a single one that was happy after just a few months. Really it won't be a hard job most places but dealing with managers who have never had to do your job will drive you insane. It can can take a couple of months to get your license from the state and will cost about $300 total. Expect to get laid off frequently, you will always find work around the holidays though. As far as armored car companies Brinks is one of the better, Loomis has screwed people by giving them bad references even though the were great employees.
  22. For sale: My life long collection of Alabama Crimson Tide Memoribilla, at least 8 Bama hats, 5 assorted XL Alabama Crimson Tide T Shirts, and an Alabama Crimson Tide hoodie. Taking best offer. I want to sell while I still have a chance.
  23. They still make them, even though they are manufactured in limited amounts. http://www.gtdist.com/ProductDetail.aspx?PartNumber=GLOCK-PI2430103
  24. Oh, and it may be the rarest of the models as far as the numbers go.
  25. I had a G24 a few years ago, honestly just the same as any other Glock. I actually was wanting to use it to take a deer or two, I found out it was not anymore accurate than even my baby Glocks. If you read into published velocities some ammo out that 6" barrel is as great as some 10mm out of a G29. Is yours a Gen 2? I wonder if you have my old one, I traded it away with one 10rd magazine and a newer style box.
