Oh, thank you for your work. I'll confess, there are hundreds planted out there that I at one time recommended. I am sure there are people cursing me today. Another thing that happened with Leyands was over-population; it can happen anytime a species is overplanted or planted too closely. Plant any species too close and you will see how fast they get disease and insects. To OP, how tall and wide would be too big? Also, what part of the state?

The Osage orange trees, or hedge apples, make a good screen, grow fast, are very disease tolerant, do ok in droughts, but are not evergreen. That is the only thing to know when making a screen out of them. Otherwise, they screen from noise very well 9-10 months a year.

After spending 10 years working in garden centers, growing up with parents and grandparents working in garden centers, and going to college for horticulture, I recommend against Leyland cypress. They grow fast and serve as an evergreen hedge, but they have problems with cankers, bag worms, needle blight, and Phytophthora and Annosus root rots. Emerald Green or Green Giant Arborvitae look very similar and will not have half the troubles. Beware, all of these will get 60' tall and the Leylands will be the ugliest things you have ever seen in about 12 years. The Leyands just get ugly and thin the older they get; it is the nature of the beast. Arborvitae tend to stay full their entire life. I recommend whatever you do plant on triangular centers if the property is deep enough. Twenty-five foot triangular centers will look like 12.5' centers when viewed perpendicularly. If you do not have the room for 25' triangular centers than you don't have the room for Leylands, arborvitae, White pines, or similar. Trust me, I have seen this mistake time and time again.

That's a favorite of mine, but until powder becomes more plentiful I will not waist powder on loading 9 or 40. Otherwise, I enjoy loading .40 and find it as tweakable as other loads. There is a lot of savings to be had rolling your own .38/.357 so I focus on them nowadays.

You need to take a smart phone to google what powders are available. You may be limited to what is available. Otherwise, I like Unique because it is fluffy enough to easily spot a double charge. It is also easy to meter and find recipes for just about every handgun caliber.

What is the maximum height and width allowable? Is it full sun? Does the soil have good drainage or does it hold water? I highly advise against Leyand cypress; they get uglier the bigger the get and they have problems with cankers, bag worms, needle blight, and Phytophthora and Annosus root rots. Emerald Green or Green Giant Arborvitae would be a great Leyland substitute. All of this assuming 25' plus is not too tall. If you want a shrub look into Eleagnus, a very disease resistant shrub that grows two feet a year and stops at about 16'. It is evergreen of course and has a very fragrant smell in the fall. Some people believe that Eleagnus is invasive, and some varieties are. Any variety at a local garden center should be fine. Chase Viburnum is a great Eleagnus substitute as well.

The 296 is interesting and 44spl is about the equivalent of a 45acp. I have passed on one for only a few bucks more than that but it missing the original presentation case. Although I have forever been in search of the 7 shot S&W 242 in .357 mag.

That is pushing it for a model 10 unless it is mint and packed away in it's original box. I have seen decent to great model 10s for $350. Is it a 10-5 or a 10-6? How long is the barrel? If it is a 2" or 4" I would pass, but a 3" I would consider. A very rare 2.5" I would pay out the azz for.

Why did they cheap out and put a short ejector rod on the darn thing?

Any good deals on Verizon Iphone 6 right now?

You could switch a number to the new phone but it requires a new contract. If you have unlimited data you will lose that with a new contract. -
In Nashville Man pulls gun after his order was messed up
Patton replied to vontar's topic in General Chat
There is some truth to this but those idiots fail to realize that less than half of them would be out of work within a week of a minimum wage increase. Then they wouldn't be able to afford to buy anything because all we would have done was create across the board inflation. This idiot, the one who pulled the gun, probably just steals everything he needs anyway so minimum wage amounts do not effect him. -
Cameras are pieces of hi-tech equipment that routinely fail, run dead on batteries, or fill up with memory. The big caveat here is that you must know when to turn them on since you can't run them all shift, and what started as a casual talk outside a gas station turned to this. Fortunately, it appears there is just enough clarity on the gas station camera to visualize the handgun.

No permit, and he has a criminal record. https://sci.ccc.nashville.gov/Search/NameSearchDetails/DEMETRI^JOHNSON^06291993^472581/ -
This was from another forum; I believe he just screwed a Pearce Extension under the Tamer grip.

Do you tumble/clean rifle brass again after sizing?
Patton replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I understand that you were specific to rifle cases and the need to retumble, but 9mm is about the easiest case to size because of the slight taper. With a rifle case, a lot may depend on the lube being used. Hornady One Shot will wipe right off the case and may not do an harm if dried on anyway. Some of the older paste types will dull a case if not wiped or washed off after resizing. -
This post has probably not received as many views as the ammo can deal because people have seen the officer shootings on the news. The news generally doesn't report ammo can deals.

I would only if I was going to be using a liquid cleaner. I often dry tumble, resize, and then shake them up with water and citric acid before rinsing clean. -
There are many ways for a truck to end up over there. The one I heard of recently involved one of those "My shipping representative will pick it up at your house and you do not have to do anything". Also, years ago it was not uncommon for stolen vehicles to find a way out of the country because noone over there would care.

Yes, thank you Doc. I did a term paper on Puma concolor some time ago and still have an interest in them.

Exactly what I was getting ready to say.

I could not agree more with everything you said. A business that I worked for had the whole family of Ford trucks and a 2002 f-250 v-10 was the best of all of them. It was cheaper initially, cheaper to maintain, and cheaper to drive. In my experience air bags are about the only route worth going on leveling and stabilizing your ride. You maintain a soft ride while empty that way as well and it is not that much more difficult, if any to instal. I will say that if you are finding the need to increase spring weight on a halfton you need a bigger truck.

I am surprised that they have hung in there this long. I walked through the Northgate Sears a few days ago and I was surprised that there were not cobwebs across the isles. The clothing, footwear, and jewelry all looked like it had been there for years and was out of date. In fact my wife found the same dress priced at half the price at Belk compared to Sears. I don't think I could have found something to buy in Sears with someone else's money.

I really wish that we had some 10 round magazines for the Shield. -
Finally Bought a Shield 9mm
Patton replied to glowdotGlock's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I have not found an ammo that my Should could not handle. While they are hard to come by, the 147gr Rangers may have been it's favorite. After experimenting I have found the best carrying mag is the flush fitting 7 round with a Pearce Extension and the 8 rounder as a backup with the sleeve removed. I could see that sleeve shifting and causing an issue during an emergency reload. Plus, this way I have eight and eight if I can remember to count in an exchange of gunfire. My next purchase may be a set of Ameriglo Pro iDot N/S. I handled a Shield with them installed and I was impressed.
