No, they are in no way connected. I didn't speak up because I though you were referring to Walgreens and Rite Aid. As of lately they are owned by the same group. I read CVS but was thinking Rite Aid.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that I do not care for extended controls. I do want to try the Tango Down floor plates.

I have heard more than one person in the corporation say that a Walmart does not have to be profitable in their eye; it only needs to make business unprofitable for other retailers.

I never knew of a hand deprimer either. Before I had a dedicated Lee decapping die I used a 45acp die for the38,9,and 40. I also used the little donut and decapping rod from my Lee classic loader.

The extended slide stop is nice for releasing if your support hand is tied up or injured, and it is nice for helping to clear a double feed. Otherwise the slingshot method is much preferred.

Since it is for a .308 I bet you could find someone with a Hornady Lock And Load gauge to determine the depth.

the Glock Sport Combat holster will be the last one that I ever get rid of. I tried IWB but I found it uncomfortable and a PITA. I liked the Kholster better than the CB, but I went back to OWB anyway. I very often run the belt through backwards for a really tight feel. I call it Inside the Belt OWB.

I think that is why I have such an interest in it. It probably sold for $25 in 1965 at the hardware store or Sears counter. Maybe it was a Christmas present, birthday present, or bought after a whole summer's worth of mowing grass. I just picture some father and son walking to the fishing hole in the late 60's while toting it, shooting some pop cans after the fish didn't bite, and probably passing it down to the grandson. It's a reminder of times long ago that are still heavily in the back of someone's mind.

You mean with the compass in the stock and the thing that tells time? I tend to think of it in the same way also.

While out on my gun shop checks for the week I stumbled on a neat little 22 magnum. I never knew the single shot Ithacas existed until last month when a 22lr appeared in the classifieds of TGO. This one is missing all of the paint from the receiver and the lever, but it actually looks like it was supposed to have came that way. The wood is beautiful and the blue is neat with its patina. The best I can tell it is from about 1963. I can imagine the stories it could tell.

I don't know why Smith veered so far away from their traditional j frame to build those. It shares nothing with the j frame which is one of the most proven firearms in history. As far as the BG38 I don't hear anything bad about them. The laser isn't very bright though.

They made the XD in .357Sig but never the XDM. I am pretty sure the XDM is what you were referring too. Some models of the XD have been discontinued, but I think they still make the standard 4". I doubt they will do the XDS in 357 Sig, but they should. It would fill the gap left by all manufacturers. I am sure there are plenty of LEOs that would like a thin 357sig; one smaller than the Glock 33. I heard of a few guys who converted a Keltec p-11 to 357 sig for off duty.

Best of luck to you my friend. I separated from active duty in 2007, and I am very happy that I did. I have worked in small, locally owned companies, local governments, and now a .gov agency. I honestly think that many of the senior NCOs and officers believe that all of the 300 million non-military personal in the United States work at Burger King.

Hopefully 2016 is the year I pick up a S&W 610. I have been on a desire to get back into lever action guns. I actually have a beater Marlin 30-30 in lawaway right now. I could have actually just bought it, it was really cheap, but I wanted to keep plenty available for other purchases and spread purchases out some. I have plan to get a Henry 22lr pretty cheap, but I think I will wait a few weeks. If I buy any more magazine fed handguns it may be another Glock 20. I felt obligated to sell my last one to a close friend who didn't have a way to buy one under the blue label program. Since I wanted a Gen 4 20 or even a G40 I thought I would help him out.
-
I have no interest in buying one but I hope to get an opportunity to shoot one. My old Shield in 40 handled unbelievably well. I swear I think it was easier to shoot than a Glock 23. I also had a XDS in 45 and I thought that it was a fine shooter also.

As much as I hate big guns the Glock 24 was an amazing creature. I have shot a Glock 34 and really don't think that it was as good of a shooter as the 24 was. The extended controls that come on the Vickers' guns are hands down better than the extended Glock controls.

While it is unreliable to judge based on pictures, I see wear in areas that indicate a higher round count. I don't see enough wear to indicate that it was a law enforcement gun. Normally one side of the grip gets really worn beside the magazine well.

No, he is not. I know both guys.

My agency pays more than $700 a piece for Sig handguns. There is a sticky at the top of this section that list many of the departments in TN. I try to maintain it with accurate and current information. Based on the information that gets supplied to me Glock has more than 50% of the TN LE market. I miss the days of carrying a Glock for many reasons.

I will only use the Safariland ALS after using many of the other retention holsters.

Without a doubt the RTF prevents slipping. The gen 4 texture doesn't even compare to the roughness of the RTF, but once again it can be brutal to the love handles.
-
I think that I can do that.
-
That will most likely be my next j frame.

I as well enjoy reloading 40s&w over other rounds. I aim for about 850fps with 180 grain projectiles. I use once fired brass and don't even bother to pick them up because I get so much given to me. I have about 4K pieces of brass to load right now. I have so many friends in law enforcement that know me as a 40 loader I come home to buckets of brass on my porch all the time. It's still by far the number one law enforcement round in the country.

All the Smiths since the mid 80's are rated for plus p ammo. I have several centennial models; I like the 642/442 about as well as any of them. I have a 342 and love the 10.8 oz weight but I hate the delicate titanium cylinder. You have to be careful about cleaning and protecting the finish. I have a 640 357 and I can't imagine being able to justify more recoil than the 24 oz 640 with magnums. I have shot a 360 with magnums and it is like slamming your hand in a car door. I think my dads 10mm American Derringer recoils less. I have a LCR and it is a fine weapon, but everyone short strokes the trigger. I wish it was chambered in something other than 38 special. I may get one in .327 also since S&W .327s bring so darn much more.
