    Glock Vs 1911

If you went there you would understand. They are the type of store that everything they sell is targeted towards LE not so much civilians. This is why they don't advertise. I really think it is a matter of they don't have the civilian models of the gen 4's is why. LE Glocks come with three mags and are labeled on their box differently. Every LE Glock must have a Department Letterhead on file for that weapon after purchase. This is Glocks rules not GT's The 22's I have looked at their before came with 3 mags and Glock N/S
  2. On that Women cops of memphis show the other day a CCW holder shot a robber with what looked like a HiPoint 9c.
  3. I had one of the 24/7 compacts in 9mm and I'll tell you after a while it got magazine finicky. If you ever have troubles with it try a new magazine before stressing out.

    Glock Vs 1911

Give Craigs a call in Knoxville. I heard they have some LE trade in 22's and 21's. They are a split image of GT's but they are not as nice I'll warn you. Call them and ask if they will sell a trade in to a civilian. They sell new only to Law Enforcement I know.

I was refering to the LE Glocks that were being questioned specifically those at GT's.

    Glock Vs 1911

Dealer cost is about $455 is what I was last told. That $398 or $425 that you see is for Military/Police/ and other first responders. They have to have real proof of eligibility and it is watched carefully. The guns are packaged off the assembly line special with an extra mag and a Law Enforcement sticker and shipp only to a LE Glock Dealer.

    Glock Vs 1911

They have been selling Guns cheap for years. They have some TX Dept of Justice Sigs for like $475 and they look nice. Transfers are $25 only to the Pawn Shop across the line which includes background check and you only have to pay GA tax 7%

    Glock Vs 1911

Its all true I went to GT's today. There are more coming don't feel rushed. Yes they are used for less than 300 what do you expect. I m pretty sure they are coming with three mags and Night sights.
  9. STOP this thread! Before they start having to make 11MM.
  10. I had one one time. There pretty good guns. The stainless is actually worth less than a black one. New they were the complete opposite. If it's in good shape with one mag it might be worth $450. Extra mags are little rare. They are a little hard to resale now a days, baby glocks khars and such are just more popular. There are a few police trade ins out there and they will show there wear. I had a chance to buy one of those one time for $350 and I passed thinking it was a deal but that particular gun shop had it for almost a year.
  11. I went and fired about another 12 rounds of the 9mm +p+ along with my dad and this time they were all over a 4'X4' board. The hollow points were not expanding before hitting the target 10yds away. I did manage to get one in a phone book and it was hard to tell if it had any performance difference over the 357 sig HP. However once again FMJ rounds were dead on like always.
  12. They are a lot similar in size than most people would ever realize.
  13. The rounds are almost flush with the lug off the back of the barrel, really it looks no different than the other rounds I dropped in their all from differnt manufacturers. No unreasonable lead buildup or fouling.
  14. I responded but it didn't post the other day. I did what you said and droped one of the +P+ in the barrel but it sits the exact same as far as I can tell as all the other 9mm rounds I had laying around, but if I stuck it in the other end of the barrel it seamed a lot tighter like the bullet was slightly larger than the others and what it should have been. The difference the bullet would go in was about 1/24". The Glock 19 also has a really strong guide rod spring. It was like that when I got it. Any ideas?
  15. The 357 rounds did seem to be a little and I mean little bit more expanded but it could have just been the brand of ammo used. Did not seperate but I only fired three of them though. I need to fire some of the other rounds to see where exactly they are going. I wouldn't be suprised if they were off by a couple of feet. It just even felt weird but the FMJ rounds were as accurate as one could expect.
  16. You intrested in any trades. J/K
  17. ^I noticed it to the other day but I'm a little well built up on 357 sig ammo. I bought 200rds FMJ for $50 at a gun show.
  18. ^I will not buy a LCP until they offer the 10rd mags.
  19. The 9mm Buffalo Bore ammo was shot out of the Glock 19 and the 357 Sig ammo was shot out of a Glock 32. I wanted to make it as comparable as possible. With still some ammo shortages I couldn't find the same brand across the board. I will tell you the 9mm+P+ had no where near as much hand felt recoil as the 357 Sig rounds.
  20. So I bought a box of 9mm+P+ for my 357sig vs all other calibers test only to not be able to hit the phone book with the buffalo bore brand ammo 3rds were fired. I was abble to successfully hit everything with FMJ out of the same gun a Glock 19 and it was hard to tell if they were going high low or just to the side. I am wondering if anyone had any idea what may have happened? Distance was only about 7yrds. Now for the results of my none scientific results. Ammo used 357 Sig HP Gold dots, 125 Grain Hollow Points .40 SW remington Golden Saber, 180 Grain Golden Saber Jacketed Hollow, .45 ACP, Remington Golden Saber, 185 Grain Golden Saber Jacketed Hollow Point Bullet Weapons used Glock 19 Gock 23 Glock 32 SW 1911 5" barrel My results suprised me in finding the entry holes more similar between the 40 and the 45. This may be due to the brand ammunition being the same. The 357 holes were still big but deeper. Again I would like to conduct useing all the same brand ammunition. The FMJ 9mm 115grain rounds went all the way through the book where all the Hollow points were stopped. This is not really a surprise but the 357 Gold Dots were the closest to penetrating completely. They made it to about the last couple of pages. I plan to gather all the same brand ammo and try to conduct this again in more controled setting. I will need more phone books to.
  21. Someone mentioned going to Suntrust, my wife had asked about carrying concealed(deap) while working there and what the policy was and they had kind of the walmart-starbucks opinion for employees and customers. They would rather act like it has never been brought up.
  22. Interesting that no one has ever thought or brought up that a smaller much faster bullet could richoche more/less? I love my 357 SIG BTW!

    Ruger LCR 38 Special

My wife has the 38 LCR and it doesn't hurt her hand until after about 15rds, the first 10 rds don't feel like much. Talking about ammo it is advised to stay clear of the lead bullets for these but they can be shot.
  24. It's normally people that look like idiots that OC anyway. I don't think other than law enforcement or maybe store owners I've ever seen someone OC that looked like they were intelligent.
