  1. Guy N Cognito, I just showed that 1911 to a Mexican that was here working at the house and he thought it was bad a**. So if your trying to impress people get a 1911, but if you need to protect your family get a Glock. Back on topic, I used to do lighter trigger connectors, extended slide release, and blah blah. I prefer them to be stock now. I had a Wolf SS guide rod and spring and it was very stiff, I never had it malfunction but I was happy to get rid of it. I will do night sights but have learned in shooting during stress you wont even notice there there.
  2. You will love the 26 accurate, small, cheap to shoot, and recoil is minimal.
  3. I have heard a lot of folks say they shoot no different with their pinky on the weapon. I feel there is a huge size difference between the 27 and 30. I like the feel of the 36 it feels much like a 19/23
  4. Hm I could carry something a lot bigger than a 45 but I dont. I could carry 9+p and get close to the same ballistics as a 40 but I dont. Its just all factors considered I'll trust a 40. Really with 40 being such a trusted proven LE round I believe it would help with a Defense proceeding if I were on trial. Very few agencies around me use something other than a 40 currently.
  5. Another thing to consider is a 45 glock does cost more than a 40 with the same options. If you like the 45 then get it, I just didn't like the balance. Nothing to do with the quality or performance.
  6. I do think that too many people buy the subcompacts thinking there the best for concealment but the compacts hide just as easily anywhere on the upper body.
  7. Here we go! My old 30's recoil was very similar I believe to my 27. I just couldnt stand the size of the 30 it was so top heavy compared to my other glocks.

    380

I would say the LCP trigger is similar to the LCR as far as trigger travel. Similar to most dbl action revolvers. I like my LCP and the wifes LCR.
  9. Like others said 18 can buy private. Even stranger is a 18 yo can be a police officer in this state but cant buy his own weapon. Most departments require to be 21 though.
  10. Like someone else said the ejector is the same on every model. The extractor is different but not important for range use to be worth switching. I would not switch the extractor without switching back to the shorter 40 one with out test firing it before leaving the range. In general 9mm barrels only dropped in 40's are 99% reliable.

LCP first then a P3at is what I prefer. I just dont see the price of a khar or sig. I have handled a bodyguard and they ate sharp, but too new on the market.
  12. For range use dont even hassle with the extractor

    Kel Tech p-11

I have one and its just too close to the size of a baby glock to be worth carrying. Its the only 9mm i own anymore.
  14. Johnny fox where in E Tenn are you? I would like to add and taketh away

    Sigma 380 ???

Theres a few known failure to feed but thats common on most 380's

    Sigma 380 ???

They have been labeled the worse S &W of all time. The firing pin is the biggest weak link.
  17. Academy has the lcp kit for 339, open a chatge card and get $50 off. The kit has a extra mag and a nice case.
  18. Many people will and that is one thing I like about a 380 is that it will be less likely to over penetrate. Yes a big hole bleeds out more but so does two holes. I just hope theres no one on the other side.

  20. Law Enforment officers dont have to pay taxes on theirs with a letter head. Was that other post refering that military dont have to either if they get it shipped to their unit with one? Tomorrow I am buying my 4th LE glock this year. It is such a deal.
  21. I would trade my stock one for it if he did want to sell it.
  22. Patton

    Glock?

Also when you get hard up you can sell them for about what you paid for it. No other gun holds value like that.
  23. I do get the 34 and 35 model glocks backwards sometimes.
  24. I dont know how i learned the glock models. Just being around them I guess.
  25. Im most likely starting trouble but their is a new belief that the pinky on the grip may actually not help accuracy.
