  1. I had a B I'm pretty sure. I got it for a little over $250 new from GT Distributors, Academy had good deals to. I could not find any hollow points that would cycle, only FMJ. I traded it off. I too was sold on the last round slide lock back but realized how that was a stupid selling point(compare to a revolver)

No but you can't carry it loaded, nor the magazine loaded

First for Armed Guard I strongly recommend a 9mm because of its wide acceptance by most all guard companys. A 38spl 4" revolver would be a great choice to. I would stay clear of the Hi Point being due to to the fact you may never find a good belt holster for it. You stand a good of a chance being shot with your own weapon as any other. Don't make it any easier for them, I would be more concearned with my holster retention than the firearm brand/size. I would prefer the Glock for many reasons but a lot of companys say it has to have an external mechanical safety and the trigger safety doesn't count. Sometimes a used XD can be found cheap but still not a mechanical safety. A lot of guys carry the P95 Rugers, but I would look for a $350 Beretta 92 or a $300 Smith and wesson 5906 or similar model. Sigmas are cheap and I have seen lots of firing pins break on them anywhere from 20 rounds - never so you never know. Stay clear of 1911's they are very frowned upon in the Armed Guard industry. These are not my opinions but what are the facts.
  4. Value for them is around 600 used and is one of the best values in 1911's.
  5. My Father in law who was a avid sportsman and gun collector can't load his own magazines any more after a stroke, racking the slide is possible but takes 100% focus. You cant go wrong with a revolver for her.
  6. The first 1911 I ever shot looked just like that one, accurate and very reliable. My friend had me sell it fior him. I should have bought it for myself.
  7. ^I couldnt have said it any better. That is a very low demand gun, but there is always that one person trying to find that gun out there.
  8. What gen is it?
  9. Where did you buy one at?

    S&W Model 59

Isn't this the same magazines that Keltec p-11's will accept?
  11. Glock, hands down! I would own another Sig if they werent so over priced. Major weight savings and slimmer profile than with the Sig 229 as well.
  12. All this info is accurate^^^ Get a caliber that is also a popular rifle caliber so getting ammo will be easier.
  13. Trooper Mark Hunter Coates, South Carolina Highway Patrol, South Carolina I am posting this for many reasons. One to remember the Trooper and two so no one will ever think they have someone out gunned. Oh and in my opinion, there is nothing wrong with depending on a 9mm to save your life.
  14. I really am more concearned by who I trade from than who I trade to. Example being I here all the time about people getting checked on traffic stops and the gun is comes back stolen and the person in posession of it has accuired it legally. Numbers get reported wrong all the time and duplicate numbers exist. I like to know how to get back in touch with a seller afterwards so in case I need them to vouch that they did have it.
  15. I take that as carry concealed and go with it.
  16. The kholster is more comfortable too. A very important point I learned is that a subcompact can almost be harder to carry at times due to less of the barrel slide to stabalize it in a holster. Almost like the grip of the gun wants to flop over. I carry a 40 over a 9mm only because having a Law Enforcement background having fired thousands of rounds through 40's I might have a better defenve to in court if I ever have to use it. Otherwise I would carry 9mm+p.
  17. I paid $60 for new factory NS and installation on my Glocks at GT's if you ever need it done again.
  18. Makes me miss my Glock 24. What kind of accuracy are we talking? 2"groups 50yds?
  19. I have no problem with him being dead. I hope it was with a handgun though because it is an insult(weird i know) to them to be killed with a handgun. It's because so many are executed with handguns. When I was over there I could point a M-4 at them and they would do nothing, but point a handgun at them and they will **** themselves. When I heard it may have been with a handgun I first thought he may have just been executed.
  20. I have read his story many times, It's a small military when it comes down to it. I went through some courses with one of his ex Buds and was related to one of his team members who got killed that day. I had left Afghanistan the month before there attack.
  21. I cant believe it wasnt done with a m-4. No way no how could it have been done with hollow points. The NATO 9mm Ball ammo is a higher pressure than our store bought FMJ loads though.
  22. See here in TN we can have gun free zones.
  23. Good find, I have had two Glock 30's. They just don't fit me well.
  24. I love Na Go Ya. I would have said something too. I will talk to them also when I go back. Overall the best place to eat in Chattanooga. In my opinion.
