This^ I seriously think the brochure is the wrong way to go about changeing peoples views.

Glock 22's are hard to trade off because there are so many out there because of the Law Enforcement crowd. Just be patient. Like new gun with NS, 3 mags should bring $475 fairly easy.

I have a close friend who had one. She kept it about a year, which is a long time for her btw. She got it because her dad would not let her have a Wrangler or a H2. Everything you think will be bad with it is exactly what is bad. Honestly the gas mileage is about 16, and might be better with someone else behind the wheel. I rode in it some and was unimpressed with interior room, power, and handleing. It's fairly loud inside and terrible seating design and hard to work around them for carrying big things. Oh yeah the blind spots are the worst. Expect every want to be rapper and gangster in town to talk to you at the gas station. The leather seats cracked the first week of ownership as did the windshield, and both were replaced under warranty. The second time it happen they wouldn't so a week before trade in they paid to have them replaced. I actually thought the price was competitive with some of the other SUV's in its class and I was suprised to see that depreciation was only a few thousand from new to used in one year(21k miles).

Not that it really matters, but does anyone else recall hearing that the "victim" was a tranny?

The P250 is just, well, "special". You will not know until you shoot it whether you will like it or not. I wouldn't have a problem owning a P250 in 357sig as that in a Compact version is what a friend of mine has that I have shot. People that describe the trigger as long and smooth are right on.

I pocket carry my Glock with a polished barrel almost everyday. I sweat at work and get exposed to all kinds of corrisive elements and my polished barrel is rust free.
-
If you really want to chrome the barrel you could soak it for 3hrs in white vinegar and then rub it with something like mag wheel cleaner. A dremel really speeds it up to. It will make it about as chrome as you can imagine. I have done it to one of mine with no problems. I would just cut the grip myself by the way, just take off a little at a time.

There is no capatability between factory Glock 22 and Glock 20 barrels/ frames. I have tried it but the chamber is actually longer on the Glock 20 frame. I never tried a complete Glock 22 slide on a Glock 20 frame as I believe it may work.

It's a DSC w/8zone an d the cover flips down. I couldn't see any numbers left on it.

Im currently with Action Alarms and it has been a good experience.
-
I ll look when I get home. Current company just updated the existing 12yr old system-3door-1 motion/ no glass break, no window contacts, no smoke detector
-
Mine isn't wireless but do you advise against the wireless?
-
Thanks Dralarms, that is exactly what I was wanting someone to break down for me. When I have trouble with Action alarms here I will give you a call. Is it true a 12 year old system should be completly replaced? This is what the ADT guy was trying to sell me.
-
Thats another thing, the price. I'm paying about $20 a month and I think ADT is about 30ish.
-
It is a great pistol but I am so used to 9mm and 40 Glocks that a 30 just feels weird to me. I have tried two of them a standard and a short frame. Both of them feed 100% and shot great, but just can't quite get used to the extra thickness.
-
Long story short I have a locally owned security system/company and I have talked to one of ADT's salesmen but I find nothing but bad things about ADT now. I know 20 plus years ago they were the best in the buisness and I am wondering if I am just not being fare to them or if all I read is true. Does anyone have good or bad stories about them?

Put it this way, I went there for the first time ever looking for a deal of some kind, particularly a deal on a used deer rifle. I was told that when he had them, which was rare, that they were a deal. The owner with a dry sense of humor was not too welcomeing and seamed disturbed that I was not in the market for a "black gun". I made the mistake of telling him I was just looking and looking for a deal on whatever. I at this point had allready stayed my welcome. I guess looking for a deal is not accepted there. I get the feeling it is not a place to go if your not too serious in buying something. My good experience was going in there and looking at a used pistol and making a reasonable offer and he accepted. I did the paperwork and walked out happy. Like all good gun shop experiences should go. There salesman, If they don't have what you want they will sell you what they have. They just get too emotional. You can't sell to everyone that walks through the door.
-
I ve had a terrible experience there and a good one also. If the deal was right I would do buisness again though. I generally dont do buisness in Cleveland because of the extra sales tax and other personal reasons.

2 of 3 killed at Nev. restaurant were Guardsmen By SANDRA CHEREB – 2 hours ago CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — A gunman with a rifle opened fire at an IHOP restaurant in Nevada's capital on Tuesday, wounding six people and himself and killing two uniformed National Guardsmen in a hail of gunfire during the morning breakfast hour, authorities and witnesses said. A third person was killed in addition to the servicemembers, and the gunman was not expected to survive, said Carson City Sheriff Kenny Furlong. It wasn't immediately clear whether the gunman had any connection with the military or the guard, said Nevada National Guard Sgt. Mike Getten. He said guard members were meeting at the restaurant. Witnesses said a man pulled up in a blue minivan around 9 a.m. at the IHOP restaurant in a strip mall on Carson City's main street. He shot a man on a motorcycle, then walked inside the restaurant and started shooting, said Ralph Swagler, owner of Locals Barbecue in the same strip mall as the IHOP. Swagler told the Reno Gazette-Journal that after several minutes, the man walked outside and began firing into the Locals Barbecue and an H&R Block in the strip mall. "This happens in third-world countries, not here," Swagler said. Fran Hunter, who works at a Sierra Le Bone, a pet shop just north of the IHOP, told the newspaper that the suspect fired at least two shots toward Casino Fandango across the street. "I don't know what's happening to my city," Hunter said. "This happens in L.A. or Las Vegas but not here." Local and state police and FBI agents descended on the scene, and yellow tape surrounded the parking lot at the restaurant, which is near a Kohl's department store. Renown Regional Medicare Center spokesman Dan Davis told The Associated Press four victims of the shooting were being treated at the hospital in Reno, but he said he could not discuss their condition or provide any other information. Kurt Althof, public relations manager for Care Flight, told the Gazette-Journal three victims had been taken to the hospital by helicopter and that two were in critical condition. Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Chuck Allen says extra security measures have been put in place on state and military buildings in northern Nevada as a safety precaution Copyright © 2011 The Associated Press. I just got a new XD 9 after seperation anxiety from getting rid of my old XD 40. The offer for the 3 additional magazines and the extra mag carrier is what presuaded the offer. I got a Military discount to so it was about $475 out the door. Not bad considering I'm getting the gun, 5mags, and that cheap xd crap. I'm actually posting becasue my mind is intrigued. Heres the deal, the grip of the XD9 and the XD40 are the same. Also the grip of my Glock 19 and a Glock 23 are the same. So why does a XD 9 hold one more round than a Glock 19 but a XD40 holds one less round than a Glock 23?
