  1. The only thing that comes close is "Unauthorized signs, signals, or markings" TCA 55-8-113 and it basically states any such device that would translate confusion to other motorist to believe altered movement of traffic. Yes, Very vague.
  2. Well its about flawless but about 50 yrs old technology. Its the size of many guns three calibers larger. If it works for you by all means carry one. I have noticed 380 is getting cheaper every year.
  3. I dont think it will change prices as some of there long guns are priced higher than any where in town. If anything you may see one or two small shops have to close up. Btw I once had a Glock 17 that my Grandfather bought at Walmart. No one ever believed me but the Serial number prefix matched the batch Glock said was a Walmart exclusive.
  4. Apples and Oranges as it sounds like you allready have two great carry firearms.
  5. You may bring attention to yourself if you use it to justify hauling a heavier load. I have written down at work the charge for excessive payload which we have used to cite vehicles many times that tend to stall on a hill in my patrol area. You are setting yourself up for a huge lawsuit and insurance cancellation if you were involved in a wreck due to excessive payload.
  6. All of those are personal preference. If you could shoot them all first it would help you decide, but I'm sure you can't. For me, and I have shot all but the Beretta PX4, my preference would be. 1. Glock 19(don't rule out a 26) followed closely by the 2. XD9SC then followed closely by the 3. M&P9c then the 4.PX4 SC only because i have never shot one. The PX4's feel fine in the hand but so did a pistol I bought one time and hated after shooting it. I'm really a fan of Glocks in 9/40/357 and not so much 45. I love XD's and M&P's in 45 but not 9/40/357. I think you may be better served by a Sub-compact than a compact as you aren't getting much smaller than your 92fs. Saving more weight than anything.
  7. (Ret.)Col. Mike Walker was wearing one at speech one time but he may have been the only one.
  8. In this situation you know well who he is and where to find him so no worries.
  9. I doubt we will see any in the hands of uniformed due to the fact there are almost no retention duty holsters for p250's. I have looked and haven't found much that appeals to me.
  10. The two Pawn Shops I frequent would probably just assume be gun shops anyway, but they have pretty clean guns. I thought a couple of months ago that I wanted a prelock J frame so I went in J and M Pawn to find exactly what I was looking for. It was a mint 442 Nickel no-lock and he told me $350 I said let me think about it because I had allready bought two guns that week. I came back an hour later and the other guy that was in the shop overheard and bought it. I ended up finding a 642 no lock instead but would have loved that 442 nickel. I really don't go in any others than my regular two.
  11. I was thinking one time I had heard Sig's of a 40S&W flavor but I'm waiting to hear from others
  12. It's really odd that there is no 45GAP's in Tennessee when Georgia And Florida agencies use them so much.

I would also like to add that some 1911 magazines will work in this gun.
  14. I would say it's about 20% and Chattanooga is a pretty large Department. I'm surprised at how few 9mm remain.
  15. Just the main Campus as it's pretty large and I think its only like 9 officers plus some unarmed security

  17. I don't shoot 'hot' ammo any more. I used to think that hot rounds was were it was at but I have been very disapointed with some Buffalo Bore ammo that was hot and not being able to put it on target and it wasn't because hard recoil. I had a range officer when I was in a police academy tell me he had experienced the same thing of some ammo just being too hot. If I did reload I would probably get back into shooting large bore revolvers but i just can't find the cost of the ammo to be worth the fun.
  18. ^Yes, after owning both I agree neither one is considered a light handling round. I got rid of the 44 thinking I could shoot it more and cheaper but there wasn't enough difference.
  19. Well if they let you shoot a 44mag then the 45LC should be a little less brutal with sound and impact. For me the 44mag as 44mag cost a little less than 45LC around here. If you get a 45acp cylinder than I would go with the 45/45.

    ruger sp101

You may not notice a weight difference from a fully loaded Glock 27. Youy will find holsters for the Sp101 aren't too awefully common and not all jframe holsters fit. I understand wanting a heavier trigger though.
  21. If you want to practice with your firearm just hold it and make sure your finger is outside of the trigger guard. I guarantee you someone from your class will get caught with that finger in there, don't let it be you. Oh and start running more.
  22. The SIG 220 SAO trigger is nothing like a 1911 if that is what your wondering.
  23. A dog would have found that easier than a cop. When the dog hits there tearing that car apart until they find what the dog hit on.
  24. I've had many weak primer strikes with the 36gr hp Winchester bulk pack with my NAA Mini.
  25. I have mine also so I don't always have to have a badge also. I believe somewhere in HR 218 it also states to have a badge. I think my department would not stand behind me if I used a weapon off duty I wasn't qualified with. Also my DMV had their head up there a** and couldn't figure out what POST means even after faxing my certifcate and calling a lot of people.
